π±β¨ "A New Dawn Amid the Ashes" β¨π±
Hello, my name is Jaber, a 13-year-old from Gaza. My family and I once lived in peace, surrounded by laughter and dreams. But in an instant, everything changed π. Our home, the school I loved, and even some of the dearest members of my family were taken from us by war.
Now, all I have left is my mother, Maysaa, who suffers from a heart condition, and my siblings, who are my only remaining comfort. Every day, we struggle to rebuild what weβve lost, searching for even a glimpse of hope amid the ruins π―οΈπ.
I am sharing my story because I believe in the kindness of others. With your support, we could take the first steps toward a new beginning ποΈ. Any help, however small, could be the light that guides us out of this darkness. Thank you from the depths of my heart for any compassion you can offer β€οΈπ.

DONT SKIPπ¨π΅πΈ
Hello, my name is Jaber Mohammad Al-Dahdouh. Iβm 13 years old, and Iβm sharing my story of how war has taken everything from my family and me ππ.
I grew up in northern Gaza, where we lived a life of comfort and love ππ , all thanks to my mother, Maysaa β€οΈ, who has a heart condition π, and my father, who worked hard to provide a bright future for us ππ¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦. My siblingsβShabaan, Hanan, Ahmed, and my youngest sister Ameera, our little darling π§πβwere my closest friends, and we shared dreams π, laughter π, and plans for a life full of hope π
β¨.
I was a student π at the Rosary Sisters School, part of the Union of Churches. My school meant so much to me; it was more than a building π«. It was my second home π‘, a place where I felt safe and happy ππ, surrounded by friends and childhood laughter π¦π§π«.
But in a single moment, our lives were turned upside down ππ’. The war destroyed our home π π₯ and my beloved school π«π, and we were forced to flee south under heavy bombing π£π₯π¨. We took refuge in the Nuseirat area, hoping to find safety π€². Yet even there, we were not spared; fighter jets bombed βοΈπ₯ the very place where we had sought shelter. I witnessed family members being taken from us in that attack ποΈπ.
I share my story today as a child who has lost almost everything: my home π π, my school π«πͺοΈ, family members π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ποΈ, and even my dreams π . I am reaching out not only to share the pain π but to search for a glimmer of hope π to help rebuild our lives.
I humbly ask for your support π€²π to help me and my family through this tragedy ποΈ. My mother, Maysaa, is unwell with a heart condition π, and my remaining siblings and I need your support to rebuild from the devastation ππ. Your donations could be the only chance to restore a part of our hope π―οΈπ and enable me to build a new future from the rubble π‘β¨.
Thank you for your kindness and support β€οΈππ·.

I am asking you to help me In building a new life for my children after it was destroyed by the war we were living in
Thank God we were able to get out of Gaza after the desperate life we were living in.
We used to wake up every day hoping that the war is over, but unfortunately our frustration increases with each passing day. I didn't know if I will be able to get my children and wife out of this tragic situation. Due to the lack of water and the high prices of food, and there is no source of income for me in the war, Iwas very sad and I do not know what to do. Our lives have turned upside .
But I borrowed money so that I , my children and my wife could get out of the situation we were living in.and now we in Egypt

First art of the new year is all about re-structuring your internal monologue.
In my early 20s I was working full time in London with many social commitments and a variety of hustles and side projects.
In my later mid 20s I cater to many sensory and social drain needs I have and indulge in special interests while respecting my lower energy reserves and celebrating my different way of processing the world.
Did I get more autistic? Nah. I got less fake.

[Art description: Three panels showing figures on a black background. Long descriptions follow.
1. A drawing of OP as a person with hip-length hair and a dress standing sadly with her hands clapsed together in front of her. She is coloured a muted rainbow gradient. Behind her, two pairs of nondescript figures chat while smiling. White text says, βIβm getting more and more autistic the older I get.β 2. OPβs colours are brighter, and her expression looks happier. Crayon-like scribbles have crossed out the text from the previous panel. 3. OPβs colours are vibrant, and she balances on one leg and throws her arms out as she dances. The text above has changed to say, βIβm becoming more and more myself the older I get.β \End descriptions]

It shocks me how many people donβt realise that the autism spectrum isnβt this:
That is in fact a very outdated and in many ways insultingβ¦
THIS IS WHAT THE SPECTRUM IS:
And it is actually incorrect to say βwell everyone is somewhere on the spectrumβ
Someone may show traits that are associated with autism but that doesnβt mean they are on the spectrum but that doesnβt necessarily mean that they are autistic,
Just like someone who is autistic may show traits of people who are neurotypical.
When I am speaking to friends who may use incorrect language or may have outdated information of what the spectrum is, I explain to them why it is important to change how we view and talk about being neurotypical. None of them are intentionally being offensive and are often happy to get a better understanding. Itβs always important to be open to changing how we view something so that everyone is able to feel accepted and understood; therefore if there is any information or something Iβve said that is offensive, incorrect or even if you have a different perspective than me, please let me know as I only want to be respectful of others and am always willing to see other people reasons for their views.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!

A little reminder that the "scary" neurodivergents belong in the community too. The ones with intrusive thoughts. The ones who seem self-centered.
The people with ocd, bpd, npd. Stuff like that. They belong here too.

i wanna say fuck you to anyone who shame disabled, chronically ill & neurodivergent people, especially homebound folks, for "spending too much time on their phone/on the internet/etc." when it's the only (Somewhat) accessible way for them to experience the world. many people don't get to get out much even if they want to because of their disabilities. shaming someone for trying to connect with the world, make friends and engage with hobbies in ways that are accessible to them is beyond cruel and unnecessary

I love how I gaslight myself in to thinking I'm not autistic but then I spend one (1) day in a hectic and noisy environment and I want to cry and tear my hair out and never see people again
