Here’s a Short Documentary Presentation to the fourth, and last project of our Digital Storytelling class with Professor Sperry. This project focuses on college tuition at SUNY New Paltz!! In this presentation, we spoke with at least three college students on campus, and one professor in the journalism department about what college tuition meant to them, as well as how you can stay out of any student loan debts in the future!! This presentation was created/produced/arranged by Andy Morales, Jeff Trotter, & Anthony Morales. It was officially completed during the afternoon hours on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. *My job was providing Professor James Gormley, and Eldon Larrier’s Interviews. Also, I took the liberties of editing the entire presentation during Post-Production, as well as filming a few B-Roll clips. Jeff Trotter was the director, provided voice-overs, and formulated the project’s concept development. He also provided Jessica Curcio’s Interview, with a B-Roll clip of her working at her job!! From the beginning, Jeff had a pretty good idea for our group to focus on something that’s a huge issue for not just students at SUNY New Paltz, but for every single college student who’s right now struggling with student load debts; causing personal financial issues once they graduate. My brother Anthony had the job of finding a ton of awesome B-Roll footage for me to edit in this presentation, and I think it took a lot of effort for him to dig up all of that footage; archival included!! Oh, and he also provided the interview of Emily Trinidad, who in my opinion, was the strongest interviewee out of the entire bunch!! Definitely pay close attention to her story because she, like many others, might be another victim in regards to having massive student loan debts in the future. Now this short documentary took a lot of energy from me!! On Tuesday, December 13th, I’ve worked extremely hard on getting it completely finished from seven o’clock in the morning, to eight o’clock in the evening!! Yes, I was completely exhausted, but the final version made me really happy in the long run. This short documentary is actually considered my third favorite assignment in Professor Sperry’s Digital Storytelling class!!*

Here’s a Video News Story to the third project of our Digital Storytelling class with Professor Sperry. This project focuses on young college students who work at the SUNY New Paltz Printmaking Club, and why each of them work extremely hard to achieve success throughout the course of each semester!! This presentation was created/produced/arranged by Annabelle Einhorn, Sarah Gemmell, Shamar Coxum, & Andy Morales. Most, or should I say, all of the footage was taken from inside the Printmaking Club during production hours, as well as some additional B-Roll footage was used from the annual Fall Fest on campus. Officially completed on Sunday, October 30, 2016. Hope all of you will enjoy our little video news story presentation!! :) -AndyM

*My job was to provide background music for this presentation, which I think was the only thing that turned out pretty well in the process!! In my personal perspective, this project was my least favorite. :( It was originally supposed to have been a video news story on Route 299′s traffic conjestion for commuters in the New Paltz area. It was all going well until one of my group members, Annabelle Einhorn, immediately didn’t want to go that route, so we all went with this monstrosity. I had such a hard time working with Annabelle. She just had an attitude most of the time, and she didn’t even give her heart and soul into the project!! Her rude, uncaring vibe with the other group members affected this project entirely!! It was all either her way, or nobody else’s way to begin with. Sarah Gemmell, on the other hand, was okay to work with, but I still didn’t feel comfortable working with her because supposedly she had a long developed friendship with Annabelle. As for Shamar Coxum, I liked working with him the best, but he also was kicked to the curb in this assignment by Annabelle!! He actually developed lower third graphics for us to use in this news story, and in Annabelle’s perspective, she didn’t even bother to use them anyway; so she made hers. In the end, this project was a mess to begin with in the first place. The editing was poor, sloppy, and it just felt rushed during the release of the final print.*

Here's a Digital Slideshow Presentation to the second project of our Digital Storytelling class with Professor Sperry. The project is simply called, "Late", and it focuses around a college student who's extremely late to one particular college course!! This presentation was created/produced/arranged by Andy Morales, Dan Finegold, & Anthony Morales. All of the amazing photography was taken around the SUNY New Paltz campus (DuBois Hall, Excelsior Concourse, & Lecture Center) during the Fall 2016 semester, which was officially completed during the afternoon hours on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Hope all of you will enjoy our little slideshow presentation!! :) -AndyM

*My job was directing, organizing, and formulating the presentation. Dan Finegold did an amazing job doing all of the photography work, and my brother, Anthony Morales, was of course the star of the show!! Keep your eyes peeled, because I’m featured in this presentation as one of the students trying to get Anthony’s attention from outside the river bank near DuBois Hall. Of course, he pushes me off to the side as part of comic relief, but it was all in good fun!! My little cameo is during the 1:24-1:28th mark. To be honest, I absolutely loved working on this project, and it was my most favorite assignment I did in Professor Sperry’s Digital Storytelling class!!*

(Digital Story Telling) - Here's Jeff Trotter, Dan Berry, and Andy Morales' finished product of our little Audio Presentation presenting two guys named, Thomas Cznarty & Todd Holmes. They're professors in the Digital Media & Journalism Department at one of New York's finest college institutions...SUNY New Paltz. In this presentation, each of them will talk to you guys about the meaning of the word, "opportunity", and why they're the best at what they can do! This was our very first project for our Digital Storytelling class with Prof. Sperry, and it was officially completed on Saturday, September 17, 2016. Hope you'll enjoy!! :) -AndyM

*My job was directing the project’s concept development, providing Professor Thomas Cznarty’s audio interview, and editing the entire presentation during Post-Production. Me personally, this first assignment is considered my second most favorited project I’ve worked on in the class!! I really liked Prof. Holmes, and Prof. Cznarty’s stories about the word “opportunity” (wink, wink), because they really were engaged to open up about their life changing stories towards getting where they needed to be; during the time this was recorded. Props to Dan Berry for providing Professor Todd Holmes’ interview, and Jeff Trotter for providing some decent environmental sounds.*

Eddie “E.T.” Towns’ first, and only released LP album titled, “Best Friends” (Total Experience - 1986). This was another mid-80′s R&B/Electro-Funk masterpiece that never generated much attention. Most of the songs were actually produced, written, and arranged by Eddie Towns himself!! This whole album cover has outdated 80′s fashion all over it!! Not that it’s a bad thing, but I guess you can say I’m a huge inspiration to the 80′s style of Eddie “E.T.” Towns. Now, onto the album, it’s complete with 80′s Synthesizers, and Drum Machines; Electro-Funk level!! It’s a pretty good find if you can get it somewhere at a local used vinyl store for a cheap price. Again, if you like Prince & The Revolution, definitely snatch this one up right away!! I’ll give this album 5 out of 5 stars!! :) -AndyM

Sam Bostic’s first, and only released LP album titled, “Circuitry Starring Sam Bostic” (Atlantic - 1985). An obscure mid-80′s R&B/Electro-Funk gem!! If you like the sounds of Prince & The Revolution, and Morris Day & The Time, definitely check this album out if you ever get the chance!! I’ll give this LP a 4 out of 5 star rating. :) - AndyM
