HEAR ME OUT ON SOMETHING.
Leo Valdez, after everything that handled in the war, is an engineering student in college, dead set on his plan to change the world through technology and make it safer for human beings, as well as push human beings and the Earth forward. Unfortunately, due to some unsavory and slightly unethical practices of getting money and resources (ahem ahem doing people’s homework), he’s been kicked out.
He’s still dead set on his plan, and so, to make a good A.I., he uses analytical brain waves activity. Jason Grace was his best friend (and maybe more) who died a year ago due to violence in the neighborhood (or that’s what he tells everyone. Jason Grace died in the war.) but always forever known as the sweet boy who helped shape their community and had so much life ahead of him.
When Leo’s brainwaves are being analyzed, the process is so long, he ends up falling asleep and having a dream-turned-nightmare about Jason and the night he died. The war, the way he fell, the wounds, then death. Leo and Piper survived, Jason wasn’t so lucky. When he wakes up, the last thing he expected was to see Jason sitting across from him, telling him to wake up. Faint blue glitches across his face like echoes.
Leo sees the brain analyzer was complete and initially thinks this is all a dream, mutters, “Oh, hell nah.” and looks at Jason and is silent for a few months before he says, “…Jason?” and this A.I. — Jason — just scoffs a laugh and goes, “Well, who the hell else would it be, Leo?”
And Leo, like any other person seeing their dead best friend in an A.I. would react, presumably freaks out.
Like, screaming and getting up before grabbing the nearest and screaming at whatever this thing is to NOT take another step.

Alright, I’ve got a headcanon I’ve been holding in my pocket ever since I heard the “Percy has a siren song” HC.
Hear me out; yes, and no. So, his singing voice DOES have the same properties. Sirens are oceanic in nature — primal, seductive, ancient. His voice mimics those affects but in the extent that whenever Percy sings, his voice is like gasoline on a burning building.
He brings the most basic PRIMAL instincts out of people when he’s singing. Like I can imagine during karaoke night, he’s got everyone hyped up and think of that scene in Sinners when Pearline got everyone stomping while she was singing and in the other room, a guy was getting stomped out of the same beat?
THAT’S what Percy Jackson’s siren song is like to me. When he sings? Kids start fighting, old grudges bubble up, people confess feelings they swore they’d die with, people get more reckless.
Percy genuinely, for the longest time, didn’t have a single clue why karaoke night also resulted in some kind of fight every time he got the mic! He was just having fun! He thought they were all having fun! He didn’t mean to lure that big, scary monster to Camp Half-blood during a party! He just wanted to sing!
If someone makes a fanfic or any comic of this, I will give you my soul.
#pjo fandom#pjo#percy jackson#his siren song is such a dear hc to me#sinners#pearline sinners#just for the reference#imagine him seeing this big monster#and not at all connecting it to the fact he was singing just minutes ago#is just so annoyed

HEAR ME OUT. HIGH FUNCTIONING BUT HE IS AUTISTIC.
He’s shown to be very blunt, does not know how to talk to people or navigate social situations without his brother, gets overstimulated easily, needs structure and routine (soldier), goes to comfort items when stressed (cigarettes), doesn’t get sarcasm sometimes, black and white thinking, trouble making friends, etc. He is an autistic black man in the 1930’s who used to be seen as “different” by everyone around him but Annie and Stack and I will die on that hill.
And if I said Smoke, Elijah Moore, was autistic? What then?

I need some people to understand that I will absolutely ship two characters who would absolutely never get together in canon simply because I want to. No I don’t think they’re canon nor will I look for subtext that they like each other. In fact, I don’t even want them to be canon. I just like the art and fanfiction man. Like their shippers low-key got something fire going on and I wanna be a part of that. It really isn’t that deep.

You wanna know something?
I see everyone talking about Luke, right? How he was a groomer, a bad person, a villain, right? And I see them talking about Silena and how they lowkey feel bad for her because she thought she was just protecting her friends and family?
But what I don’t see anyone talking about is the fact these two still had to go back to Camp Half-blood at the end of the day.
Still had look their friends and family and kids who looked up to them in the eye knowing full damn well they just sold their secrets down the river. Knowing that there was a clock just counting down and these other campers had zero idea.
They still had to eat dinner with the ones they were lying too, had to smile, teach skills to kids who idolized them, knowing full well what they were doing. They had to act like nothing was wrong while having this looming weight of what’s going to happen.
You ever think there’s photos of them smiling and laughing with other campers and when people look back on them, they just think “damn. they were already betraying us in these photos and we had no idea.”
Like it’s confirmed in these books that both Luke and Silena LOVED the campers of Camp Half-blood. That was their family, their friends, their loved ones, the reason they were doing this for. (Well, maybe not the ONLY reason for Luke.) And they just had to play along with it all. Demigod or not, that would fuck up just about anyone.
ESPECIALLY BEING THAT THEY WERE TEENAGERS.
I know for a fact that it messed up Luke and Silena so much doing that. Like on a psychological level and I wish more people would talk about it.
#pjo#pjo fandom#luke castellan#selina beauregard#well#both are honestly so tragic#MAYBE not luke#his story is still sad at the end of the day tho#andersrants#anderschr#reaperrants#reaperchr

You know what isn't a crime, but definitely should be one? The casual mischaracterization of Sentry in fan content. I'm so done😭
1. I hate how he's often depicted as cruel, he's not, look at him, fucking look? And when Ava asks about the hair dye, what does he do? He looks to Val for an answer, he's constantly fidgeting, trying to find an out for the bunch of misfits who previously helped him in the vault.
2. I hate how people try to turn it into a Marc Spector, Steven Grant and Jake Lockley situation when it's. Like. Not?? This is such a disservice to both Moon Knight and The Sentry, and real people who relate to the two characters' (very distinct very different) mental health issues. Bob doesn't have DID, if anything, the movie leans towards him being bipolar. Sentry is Bob, the guy literally tells Yelena in the vault that he has high highs and low lows, the high is Sentry, the low is the Void, that's it. Bob is both Sentry and The Void. What's so hard to understand? It's the mania (Sentry), followed by depression (Void) then he forgets. That's how Bob describes it in the first act of the film, that's how it happens in the third act.
3. This is not a contradiction to point 1, but Sentry is unhinged. He is awkward and somehow soft spoken? But he is unhinged, and invincible, and fucking terrifying. I'm tired of the stoic depictions in fics like🙂↔️ idc if you wanna write fics for comic Sentry, just don't tag them as mcu stuff. (WHO AM I KIDDING COMIC SENTRY IS FUCKING SCARYYY STOP THE BABYFICATION)
4. He is not evil (the fact that we have to spell this out... media literacy is truly dead huh), no shit the Thunderbolts* will be scared of him, of course they will be– he kicked the ever-living shit out of them. But he's not malicious, he doesn't use unnecessary force. Call it condescending, but he's going easy on them, toying with them, and deals arguably softer blows to Yelena, John and Ava, the trio he already met at the vault (because he's the same person, yk? jesus)
5. Prespective is a thing, the team wasn't there to see Sentry tell Val he doesn't want to kill them (they're no threat to him), it's the root cause of their disagreement, it leads to the New York Blackout TM, but we, the audience, were. So tell me why the fuck do I see stuff with this guy terrorizing that team for no reason? 😭 bfr guys.
6. So what? So while I can buy you showing me Ava or John or Alexei or Bucky or Yelena being fearful of the Sentry, or Val (hahaha eat shit Val), I simply can't get behind him actually being a threat to them, on purpose and beyond swatting them like flies, because hi hello have you seen the movie? Yeah.
7. Have I mentioned Sentry is unhinged? Yeah. Yeah. We got glimpses of it with Val before Mel pressed the kill switch but!! Sentry!! Is!! Unhinged!!
8. Find a middle ground, he doesn't have to be uwu or straight up satan or stoic as a rock, he is Bob in mania, so that's inherently Bob with high levels of energy and a higher self esteem (more like a GODLY EGO) and impulsivness and dillusions of grandeur (except they're not dellusions anymore? So rip), so do with that what you will.
Fingers crossed for more in-character Sentry content, at least the Sentry depicted by Lewis Pullman, who put his all into this performance but whose character is still somehow misunderstood? Anyways.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

These two,

and these two,

are exactly the same in personality, stories, endings, and what could’ve and would’ve and did fix their relationship but just opposite genders.

And, like I said, Hiccup having a feeling that she’s oddly familiar but he can’t put his finger on it.
“Hiccup should be the watchman this!!” and “Hiccup should be the watchman that!!” I’m gonna need everyone to close those flappers you call lips and hear me out on Astrid being the night guard (and Hiccup constantly telling you “you remind me of someone i used to know”)
Sorry I don’t get the reference 😭
But sure, Astrid can absolutely be the superhero/vigilante/whatnot and Hiccup the civilian!

I love Astrid so much as a character because she WAS the first one to change her mind. She was the best warrior yes, but she did that because that's the only one she knew how to protect Berk. But as soon as she saw another way, she immediately took it. Because yes, she believed in Hiccup and that meant SO MUCH. Enough for him to STAY and fight. Legit her being the FIRST one to believe in him LITERALLY saved everyone. Cause Hiccup was about to DIP.
It's so significant that she was the one to change her mind. I don't thin anyone else could've done it but her, cause I think she and Hiccup BOTH love Berk yes, but Astrid, given that she had no other outlet to stop this war, was about to do anything as well to protect it, including killing dragons.
It's understated so much how Hiccup and Astrid's relationship in the first movie is so significant for the future (I mean this beyond shipping btw) Cause Astrid being Hiccup's ALLY, was MORE significant for him than her being someone he's romantically involved with. She was his ally FIRST, and THAT to me was the BEST thing she could've been to him at the time.
I love Astrid in the first movie so much because it shows what she's willing to do to save Berk, and I'm not saying Hiccup DIDN'T want to save Berk, but not for Astrid changing her mind BECAUSE of her love for Berk, Hiccup REALLY would've left just like Valka... Who know what would've happened with him after that. And we see this VERY CLEARLY in the single best thing Astrid's been characterized in this franchise: Gift of the Night Fury.
in GOTNF, we see Astrid at her BEST after HTTYD1, we get to see her relaxed and actually active in trying to cheer everyone up, we get to see her TRUE personality in times of PEACE, and those are GREAT, she's so cheerful and active and PRESENT. SHE came up with Yaknog, SHE came up with the egg presents, SHE was decorating the village. We see her devotion to Berk and her loyalty and see her be HERSELF because of herself. I love her so much there (and yes even in HTTYD2 we get to see some of that cheerful personality and I also love that tbh)

this is the main lesson I took from sinners
disclaimer: I did not mean offence with the word "witchy" I know she practices hoodoo, but I've made this meme at 3am and just copied the original meme word for word, I'm sorry if it seems disrespectful

No white Sinners watchers, Remmick didn't want Sammie because he was in love with him
YOU (YOU!!!) just fetishize Black men and Oppressor x Oppressed relationships
You did not get the historical context of the movie
yall would ship a slave and his master as long as one of them were white
stop cosigning Black Media especially when you don't understand Black hardships and struggles through out REAL life history

Hear me out — Mobius and Bruce are childhood best friends and their parents are like this 🤞. Mobius wants to date that cute gender-fluid theatre kid but his parents establish one rule, probably purely to fuck with him; Mobius can date with Bruce gets a date.
And that’s all fuck all seeing how high Bruce’s standards are.
Loki wants to date Mobius too, what can they say? They have a thing for literature guys. Unfortunately, Mobius can’t date until Bruce dates. And who better to bride into dating such a prude than his himbo jock secret enjoyer of Shakespeare and fantasy of a brother, Thor?
Hear. Me. Out.
EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHER HEAR ME THE FUCK OUT ON A “10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU” AU WITH THORBRUCE, BRAINSTORM, WTV THE FUCK WE’RE CALLING THEM.
PLEASE. BRUCE AS KAT. THOR AS PATRICK. HEAR. ME. OUTTTTTTTTTT. PLEASE. I BEG.
