I wonder... is anyone interested in contributing to an Anarchist Cookbook kinda book but specifically about "in-the-field" anarchism (creating things, methods to do certain things, &c.)? I lack knowledge and experience in certain areas and, while reading a book is good to learn some stuff, finding people who have first hand knowledge and experience on stuff for anarchists to learn from would be great. I can get by with how to avoid suspicion by security, how to create various "tools", and some budget/in-a-pinch first aid stuff &c. but I'm not as experienced in organization as I would like.

Calling all Bay Area leftists!

In the wake of a second Trump Presidency and Project 2025 being now a very real possible future, I’ve decided to start the Hearthlight Collective. This group is intended to be a space for local leftists to share outreach and activism opportunities or connect with likeminded individuals or their neighbors and community members.

The ultimate goal is American leftist organization. Specific creed does not matter so long as you subscribe to principles of economic and social justice. The Democrats have failed us three times now (including not nominating Bernie when his chances were highest) because of their increasing fear of looking too far left. It’s abundantly clear that they do not intend to make a case for leftism out of fears of alienating conservatives. But conservatives don’t care about abstract concepts like racism or homophobia. They care about changing their material conditions. It’s time to prove that leftists can do that too.

This space is dedicated to collaboration and community outreach. If you are interested in making a difference, please join. Politics don’t have to divide us, but it will continue to if we cannot embrace our shared humanity and realize that our neighbors are not our enemies.

Please, if you live in the Bay Area (any part) and want to make the case for leftism, please consider joining. We work better in numbers and when we’re organized.
