Everybody is talking about Mattie’s death so much, we’ve sort of swept the other huge bombshell from episode 30 under the rug.
The original Vordenberg dug up Carmilla’s corpse, and very likely sexually assaulted her.
That is seriously deeply dark and terrible, and yet the moment passes by so quickly, it almost doesn’t allow you to feel the weight of that horror before moving on. And Carmilla is obviously uncomfortable but brushes it off in her Carmilla way.
And the episode ramps up the emotion for the A storyline so quickly and heavily, that none of us are focusing on this really, really disturbing bit of Carmilla’s past.
