Unicorn Academy
Among Us Headcanons
Alright, I know among us is an old thing, but I started playing the game recently, and I’m obsessed. And now, I have some headcanons for the Unicorn Squad. Bear with me, it’s been a long week. Their colors are:
Sophia - Bright Pink
Ava - Rose Pink
Layla - Yellow
Isabel - Cyan
Valentina - Red
Rory - Dark Blue
Talulah - Purple
Sophia - While she’s more of an outdoor kid, Sophia still has a vast knowledge about video games, and Among us is one of her good ones because she was so used to being alone. Doesn’t take the game too seriously, but still manages to win around 7/10 times. Used to tease her brother when they’d play among us together and get him kicked out of the game, and would laugh at his hysterics. Now at school, instead of doing this to her brother, she uses Rory as her new victim.
Ava - Is really in it for the tasks since she likes the feeling of accomplishing something, and was taught how to play by her brothers. Always freaks out when she’s the imposter, and cannot lie for the life of her. The moment she realizes she’s the imposter, everyone else finds out as well because it shows on her face. Much like in real life, Ava trusts everyone way too easily, and is often the first one killed because of this. Since Talulah is the closest to her in regards of morality, the two often band together when playing with the Sapphires, and Talulah tries to act as her personal guard.
Layla - Didn’t play Among Us until she’d gotten to the academy and the Sapphires were having a game night, but soon realized she was secretly obsessed with it. If she finishes her homework early, which she always does, Layla waits for Isabel to fall asleep to join an online server. Tries not to let her obsession with the game show, and her ability to hide her addiction is what makes her a good liar when she’s the imposter. It’s only until Isabel catches Layla awake at 3:00 in the morning and mischievously giggling that the Sapphires stage an intervention, much to her dismay.
Isabel - Just like everything else she does, Isabel is very competitive when it comes to Among Us, or pretty much any video game. Doesn’t really have a preference for her role, she just wants to win. If she’s a crew mate, she’s getting all her tasks done before anyone else. If she’s the imposter, everyone is going to die, one way or another. Needless to say, Isabel sometimes gets a little too invested when playing, and the Sapphires often have to console her when she tries to rage quit.
Valentina - Has played Among Us before, but didn’t really enjoy the game as much as some of the other Sapphires. She’ll play it for a dorm room game night, but it’s only when she meets Isabel that Among Us becomes serious. With someone to challenge her ego and winning streak in life, Valentina becomes very competitive at the game, and will take down anyone who tries to expose her as the imposter. The only person who can calm her down enough to play the game without incident is Talulah, and even she has a hard time keeping her best friend sane.
Rory - Rory is the king of Among Us…At least until Sophia showed up, because she seems to be able to read his attacks. While he doesn’t get as emotionally invested in the game as some of his friends, Rory definitely has a competitive side that shows through friendly trash talk. Because of her naivety, Rory often goes for Ava first when he’s the imposter, usually going in with the lie that he doesn’t know how to do a task. When Talulah had her first game night with the Sapphires, Rory immediately takes Talulah under his wing and teaches her everything there is to know about Among Us.
Talulah - Talulah played her first Among Us game when she’d showed up to the Sapphires’ game night and confusingly asked what Among Us was. Since Eqeoneian didn’t have any connections with the outside world with technology and social media, Among Us wasn’t a thing that any of the kids had heard of. Horrified, Rory makes the declaration that he will teach her how to play Among Us, and Talulah’s curiosity kicked in. At first, Talulah didn’t understand the concept of the game, but soon found her OCD being relaxed when she got to do different tasks on a list. Talulah doesn’t know this, but when Rory is the imposter, he always goes for everyone except her. Rory claims it’s to be a good big brother, but the Sapphires really suspect he’s afraid of what she would do to him if he killed her.
Okay, I am SO sorry that I’ve burdened your eyes with this, I just needed to get it down on paper…or something. Anyway, feel free to ignore this and erase its existence from your memory! 😂 I hope that no matter where you’re reading this from, everyone has a wonderful day/night!

Unicorn Academy - Honorary Siblings
Chapter 4
September 30, 2023
Rory - "Hey, Talulah!"
Talulah - "Huh? Oh, hey, Rory!"
Jumping off of Storm and walking over to Talulah, Rory through an arm over her shoulder and gave her a toothy grin. Talulah hadn't known Rory very long, but she could already tell the smile on his face meant nothing but mischief. Valentina came over and protectively stood between Talulah and Rory, leaving the princess confused.
Valentina - "Rory, whatever prank you're thinking of pulling, forget about it. The teachers told us to make Talulah feel welcomed here, not the butt of a joke."
Rory - "Relax, Valentina! I was just gonna ask our new friend here if she's interested in taking the Newcomer Trail!"
Talulah - "The Newcomer Trail?"
Rory - "Yep! It's a trail the teachers took us after the first week of school, with all kinds of fun twists and turns!"
Ava - "Ooh! You're gonna love the Newcomer Trail, Talulah! It's so adorable, it hurts!"
Talulah - "Okay, lets go!"
Following the rest of the riders down the Newcomer Trail, Talulah felt her thoughts being divided between the fluffhoppers and gemstone hedges, but also the consistent check ins from Rory, who kept asking if she was having fun almost every two minutes. Misinterpreting his intentions, Talulah felt scared that the students were checking to see if she'd lost her posture and dignity. With her head held and a fake smile, she ignored Feather's concern as well as the rest of the group's questions about her strange behavior, thinking they were testing to see if she'd let her guard down. Moving to a more open part of the trail with a pond, the riders let their unicorns take a break while they took the time to converse. Rory, noticing how Talulah kept herself away from the rest of the group, walked up ready to explain his plan for her when Feather jumped in front of her.
Talulah - "It's okay, Feather! It's okay."
Rory - "Yeah, hold your horses, Feather! Hey, Lulah, we're friends, right?"
Talulah - "Uh, yeah...? Why do you—"
Rory - "Great! And as your friend, I've decided to take it upon myself to help you have fun!"
Talulah - "...Have fun? But I'm already—"
Rory - "Yeah, sorry to break the illusion you have going on here, Lulah, but everyone here can tell you're hiding something."
Talulah froze and looked away from Rory, her eyes darting around in a panic as she tried to find a way out of the conversation. Rory noticed her shutting herself out, so he stepped forward and pulled Talulah into a side hug, ignoring the way Feather neighed in disapproval. Talulah only let herself look at Rory when she realized that he was looking at her through the reflection of the water.
Rory - "...You know, you don't have to put a facade on for us, right? We're your friends!"
Talulah - "Yeah, yeah, I know that...I'm sorry...I just—"
Rory - "Hey, you're alright, Talulah. I just wanna know why you're always so closed off all the time."
Talulah - "I'm sorry...I think it's just a piece of me still thinking I'm in Eqeoneian, trying to make myself act like the princess my parents expected of me...It sounds dumb, I know."
Rory - "Hey, it doesn't sound dumb at all! I get what you're saying, and I wanna help!"
Talulah - "Help...how?"
Rory - "Talulah Adeline Fortuna Fairchild, as of today, I make it my mission to teach you in the art of fun!"
Talulah - "...I'm sorry, what?"
Pulling Talulah and getting her to look at the rest of the riders, all of them playing around with their unicorns, Rory gestured to the carefree looks on their faces. Explaining it to a very confused princess, Rory proclaimed that he'd teach her to relax and let loose. And while it wasn't anything personal, Talulah wasn't...initially interested in letting loose.
Rory - "You see their happy, worry free faces? I'm gonna have you looking like that, or my name isn't Rory Lolliver Carmichael!"
Talulah - "Wait...Pfft...Lolliver?! Hahaha!"
Rory - "Hey!"
Rory acted offended as Talulah laughed hysterically at his middle name, but was internally celebrating that he'd already gotten her to genuinely smile and laugh. The rest of the gang had stopped their conversations when they heard Talulah laughing, and they couldn't help but grin once they realized it was first time she let herself have total fun without checking her back once.
Talulah - "Hahaha!...Heh...um, sorry about that, guys."
Ava - "Aww! You have the cutest laugh, Talulah! It's like the laugh incarnation of sunshine!"
Valentina - "While not the words I would've used, she's right!"
Talulah - "My laugh...is cute?"
Layla - "Of course!"
Talulah - "But my brothers say I'm too loud when I laugh..."
Isabel - "You need better brothers, Dude."
Sophia - "Why would they say your laugh is too loud?"
Talulah - "My parents and my brothers say a princess should laugh quietly and delicately. Like you can barely hear it."
The students stood in realization from what Talulah admitted. In just one conversation, everyone, even the unicorns, knew exactly why Talulah acted the way she did. Realizing what she'd said, Talulah cleared her throat and mounted Feather, desperate to make her new friends focus on something other than her strict lifestyle.
Talulah - "So, it's getting close to lunch time, we should probably get going. See you guys later!"
Rory - "Talulah—"
Talulah - "Bye!"
Running off without any other explanation, Talulah pushed away the thoughts that clouded her mind. She couldn't believe she'd let her guard down like that. She was a princess! It was one of the first things her parents had taught her. Talulah got Feather his food and rushed out of the barn, hoping to make it to the cafeteria to get her food and leave before her friends caught her. Fortunately for her, Talulah managed to grab her food and make it to her balcony right as the students made their way inside the school. Unbeknownst to her though, Rory caught Talulah on her balcony when a flutterbunny landed on the edge asking for food.
Rory - "Hey, guys, I think I'm gonna check on Talulah. I saw her up on her balcony as we came in."
Valentina - "And why would she talk to you, when she has someone like me to confide in?"
Isabel - "If she's talking to you about her problems, she probably bumped her head while riding. Haha!"
Valentina - "Ugh!"
Sophia - "Are you sure she'll open up, Rory? She doesn't seem like the type to talk about her feelings."
Rory - "Come on, I'm her new best friend, I even call her Lulah now!"
Valentina - "Are you sure this whole 'best friend' title isn't one sided?"
Rory - "Such a supportive friend as always, Val!"
Now having finished her food, Talulah drew a picture of Feather in her new sketchbook, as well as floating flowers around him. As she finished sketching his mane, Talulah jumped at the sound of knocking. Looking at the glass door, she looked down as Rory silently asked if he could come on the balcony. Taking a seat next to Talulah, he threw his arm around her, ready to reintroduce his plan, though this time, he'd be more subtle about it.
Talulah - "...Come on out, Rory."
Rory - "Hey there, Lulah! How's my new bestie doing on this fine day?"
Talulah - "Heh, I think you can guess how I'm doing."
Rory - "...You wanna tell your new bestie what you're feeling?"
Not wanting to actually admit what was bothering her, Talulah tried thinking of a fake excuse that made at least a little sense for her behavior. Looking through the glass doors, Talulah caught a glimpse of the drawer she kept her tiara in. Suddenly, Talulah had the excuse, and while it might be embarrassing, it's better than the real thing. If the protocol on secrecy was as strict as Mr. Furi has suggested it was, then Talulah needed to make everyone on this island believe she came here with her kingdom's knowledge. If she was sent back...
Talulah - "Yeah, sorry about that...I, uh, I just get nervous because...because..."
Rory - "Hey, you alright?"
Talulah - "...Don't laugh, okay?"
Rory - "Promise!...Mostly!"
Talulah - "Haha!...The thing is, this is the most attention I've gotten from people who were genuinely interested in what I had to say, and hanging out with you...I guess I feel like you're what I wanted from my brothers."
Rory - "So...you see me as—"
Talulah - "I know, it's dumb. I'm sorry—"
Rory - "Hey, you didn't let me finish! I don't mind being your brother!"
Talulah - "Rory—"
Rory - "Talulah, I hereby declare that from this day on, I shall be your honorary big brother! I will be what your own brothers didn't live up to!"
Talulah - "I don't expect you to pretend to be my brother, Rory."
Rory - "Well, too bad! I am gonna be your big brother whether you like it or not!"
Okay, so maybe this conversation had taken a different approach than Talulah had expected. All she wanted was for Rory to laugh at her, and the two of them would move on from the conversation. She doesn't know anything about having brothers that give a flying feather if you came home at the end of the day. How was she supposed to keep the expectations of a princess and make the impression that she wanted an honorary sibling? When she got to this academy, all she wanted was to forget that she had brothers in the first place! This was gonna be a...fun time, wasn't it?
Rory - "Well, my new little sister, how about we head to the cafeteria for the rest of lunch? You gave poor Val a heart attack, she was so worried about you!"
Talulah - "Heh, yeah...yeah, let's get going."
Talulah got up from the table and headed for the door, but was pulled into a hug by her...new big brother. Talulah flinched and stood in the hug for a few seconds, before she wrapped her arms around Rory, silently denying the fact that Rory made her feel actual sibling love. As soon as the two of them made it into the cafeteria, Talulah was jumped by the rest of her new friend group, all of them asking her if she was feeling alright after what'd happened.
Valentina - "Are you okay, Talulah? Rory didn't say anything, did he?"
Rory - "Why do you always assume it's me?!"
Talulah - "Heh, he's fine, he didn't do anything. I just...needed a break, and Rory actually helped me through it."
Sophia - "...He did?"
Rory - "Yep, I sure did! And, my dear friends—"
Valentina - "Not your friend."
Rory - "Yes, you are! I have an announcement to make!"
Isabel - "And that would be...?"
Rory - "As of today, I am going to be Talulah's honorary brother!"
Layla, Valentina - "...Huh?"
Ava - "Aww! That's so sweet of you, Rory! And congrats, Talulah! You've got a new brother!"
Rory - "I know! It's a great day, isn't it?"
Talulah - "Heh, yeah...a great day...Anyway, how about we head back to the stables? I wanna check on Feather!"
Ignoring the looks her friends gave her, Talulah pushed the doors of the cafeteria and jogged towards the stables, hoping to get Feather tacked up and ready to ride before they could corner her again. All Talulah wanted was a nice, relaxing day with her unicorn. But apparently, she was also getting the privilege of having an honorary brother as well. This was not what she had in mind for today.

Unicorn Academy - Honorary Siblings
Chapter 3
September 30, 2023
Talulah woke up, and immediately checked to see if she had dreamt the whole scenario. But as she looked around and saw that her new room was real, Talulah couldn't help but let out a quiet laugh. Even though it was right in front of her, she still couldn't believe it. Talulah didn't have time to believe it though, because Rory, Ava, and Valentina had suddenly opened the door, all of them feeling eager to show her around the academy. Talulah jumped at the sudden slam of the doors opening, but recovered before any of her dorm mates noticed. Valentina talked endlessly about how Talulah was going to be one of the most popular kids at school before the day was over, Ava kept squealing and getting excited over how much Talulah was going to love finding her unicorn, and Rory ate a banana at an alarming pace while mentioning the best secret rooms in the academy that he could show her. Politely asking the trio to leave so she could get dressed, Talulah brushed her hair in front of the mirror, but stopped when she saw the box that held her tiara. Talulah wore that tiara everyday, no matter what. But now that she was starting over, especially since she was trying to leave her royal life behind, Talulah just shoved the box in the top left drawer. The sight of her old headpiece left Talulah feeling down, but a knock on the door from Rory interrupted her spiral. Talulah went off to breakfast with the rest of Sapphire Dorm, and managed to forget the tiara, listening to the gang talking and messing around without a care in the world. But as much as she wanted to relax and join them, she couldn't. It felt like an instinct to hold her posture and act sophisticated, despite hating every second of it.
Right off the bat, Rory started noticing things about Talulah that he hadn't seen the day before. During breakfast, while the rest of them ate their food and messed around with each other, Talulah kept her posture and ate with delicacy. She'd hold her breath when an adult addressed her, always worried that she came off rude to the teachers, even when she had responded with dignity and respect. Rory didn't necessarily believe the life of a royal was easy, but he didn't think Talulah's routine and life would be so demanding. Even when everyone told her that she could relax, she kept her head held up and had the same regal, fake smile on her face. Everybody knew the fake smiles weren't directed at them in a mocking manner, but the students couldn't figure out why Talulah wasn't letting her guard down. The rest of the students rode off to Wonder Wood Forest, ready to meet Talulah's unicorn. But Rory stayed next to Talulah the whole time, trying to figure out a way he could help her relax.
Rory - "You alright, Talulah?"
Talulah - "Huh? Oh, yeah! I'm just nervous, I guess."
Ava - "Don't worry! I'm sure your unicorn is gonna be just around the corner! He or she is probably already waiting for you!"
Talulah - "I hope so. This is the best I've felt in...forever."
Ms. Primrose - "Talulah Fairchild, it is with great honor that I introduce you to Wonder Wood Forest, where the unicorns of this island live before they find their riders!"
Talulah - "Woah!"
Looking at the beautiful scenery in front of her, Talulah mentally checked, again, to make sure she wasn't dreaming. The forest was absolutely gorgeous, and the entire place gave off a sense of peace and harmony. The purple fate fair from the day before flew in front of Talulah, causing her to jump back in surprise. As Ms. Primrose explained how she'd find her unicorn, Talulah kept her back straight and her face as neutral as possible. Internally, she was panicking because she knew that her calm demeanor was fading.
Ms. Primrose - "The Wonder Wood Forest is the home to the unicorns of this island, and within those mystical trees, you'll find the unicorn you're meant to be with. If you and the unicorn are a match, the fate fairy will glow, signifying your special bond. When you've found your unicorn, return to us, and we'll get on with the naming ceremony."
Valentina - "You've got this, Talulah!"
Isabel - "You go, Dudette!"
Ava - "Good luck, Talulah!"
Layla - "We believe in you!"
Sophia - "Don't worry, Talulah! You'll find them!"
Rory - "Go find your unicorn!"
Talulah - "...I will. Thanks guys."
Once she was out of view from the rest of the students, Talulah let herself breathe against a tree, holding her chest as she tried comprehending the fact that everyone was cheering her on. She'd been cheered on before, if you count crowds of people who haven't seen the real Talulah. It felt weird having this many people be genuinely interested and excited for her, and not fake support done for attention and a chance to be in the spotlight. Making her way through the forest, Talulah found herself in absolute wonder by the endless wonders within the woods. Colorful bunnies with wings, flowers with tiger faces on them, floating flowers. What didn't this island have?
Snap!
And with that, her curiosity was replaced with fear. Talulah looked around for the fate fairy that'd followed her into the woods, but the fairy was nowhere to be seen. Holding her posture straight and in place, Talulah looked at her surroundings. Talulah gripped at the loose strands in her hair, formally placed in a neat, french twist.
Talulah - "Hello?! Is someone there?!"
??? - "..."
Talulah - "Who's there?! Who are you?!"
Talulah, feeling a strange mix between bravery and fear, walked towards a pair bushes that were slightly covered by the trees around them. Anything could hide in those bushes, so why was she walking towards them? Stretching her left hand towards the plant covered bushes, Talulah jumped back when something walked and parted the leaves and petals. A strong unicorn walked towards her, with calm and tranquil emerald eyes. Talulah jumped back and felt herself leaning against a tree, at first trying to make herself look small against the tall unicorn. Realizing that he wasn't making an effort to attack or threaten her, Talulah let herself take in the unicorn's appearance. He was majestic, and his eyes sparkled with the light that peaked through the leaves.
Talulah - "...Hello. I'm Talulah."
??? - "..."
The unicorn walked up and placed his head against Talulah's hand, and the princess took this as a sign to pet the rather large unicorn as though he was a small, loving puppy. His bright green eyes locked with her blue ones, and for once, Talulah felt at peace. That peace was slightly disturbed though when the purple fate fairy following her had reappeared and started glowing. The unicorn stepped back and squealed, but calmed down once he felt Talulah's hand go through his mane.
Talulah - "Its okay! It's okay, the fairy won't hurt you. Heh, if I'm being honest, the fairies kinda freaked me out at first as well."
??? - "..."
Talulah - "...So I think you and I might be a match. If what Ms. Primrose said was right, of course. But if you don't wanna match, that's totally fine! I'm sorry, I'm rambling. I'm just gonna get going now."
Walking away from the unicorn, Talulah ignored the sinking feeling when she removed her hand from his long and healthy mane. Sensing her distress, the large beast let out a neigh and walked up to the princess, letting his head nuzzle against her back. Talulah took this as a sign that he trusted and wanted to match with her, so she carefully placed a hand on his shoulder, guiding him to the end of the forest where she knew the rest of the students and teachers were waiting.
Talulah - "So...you wanna be matched? If you are, so am I. This is the best I've felt in a long time!"
The unicorn neighed in response, ignoring the fate fairy that flew ahead of him and Talulah, guiding the duo to campus. Like she figured, the students were waiting with their own unicorns for her return, some more patient than others, and started cheering once they say her. The teachers smiled at her return, but before Talulah could blink, all of them were shouting at her in terror.
Sophia - "Talulah, you made it—Talulah, watch out!"
Talulah - "Huh?!"
Rory - "I'll save you, Talulah!"
Talulah - "What's going on?!"
Ava - "That unicorn, he's dangerous!"
As Talulah tried processing the situation, she felt her unicorn who voiced his displeasure against the other unicorns and students push her gently behind him, as if protecting her. Rory tried grabbing her to safety, but one aggressive snap from her new unicorn friend sent him stumbling back. The teachers stood trying to figure out how they could get Talulah to safety without setting off the rather violent unicorn. Still not realizing that everyone was scared of the unicorn she matched with, Talulah stepped in front of him and managed to grab his attention, calming him down almost immediately. Everyone stood in shock, trying to process what they were looking at. This unicorn tried to jump them the day before, and now he was a calm, serene beast who stood at the command of Talulah.
Talulah - "You're okay! You're okay, boy. It's alright, they're good people! You don't have to be scared."
Layla - "...Are my glasses foggy or is that unicorn from yesterday being pet by Talulah? Willingly, at that?"
Ms. Furi - "I don't believe it..."
Isabel - "Dude, you have no idea who that unicorn is, do you?!"
Rory - "She's got the magic touch!"
Talulah - "What are you talking about? This unicorn has been nothing but friendly to me!"
Sophia - "Eh, friendly isn't the term we'd use for our interaction from yesterday."
Ms. Primrose - "...It seems that the wild unicorn has managed to find a match, even after all our...concerns."
Talulah - "Concerns? What do you mean?"
Ms. Primrose - "...It doesn't matter. Come! It's time for the naming ceremony!"
Talulah kept her hand on the unicorn, ignoring the questions she had about this...entire situation, and followed closer to Rory, who kept a careful eye on both her and the unicorn following her. Talulah made her way to the front of the group, trying to keep her attention off the crowd that stared at her in awe and curiosity, and looked at the structure in front of her. Ms. Primrose walked to the front, and the teachers stood at the sides, giving looks of encouragement to Talulah, while trying to hide their fear of the unicorn beside her. The purple fate fairy that went with her through the forest flew to the top of the structure, ready to announce Talulah and her unicorn's name.
Ms. Primrose - "Now that you've met your unicorn, Talulah, the fate fairy shall name him and give you your official riding uniform!"
Talulah - "...You ready, boy?"
Fate Fairy - "Talulah and..."
All - "..."
Fate Fairy - "Feather!"
Talulah looked at Feather in wonder, before both of them walked through the new portal that would change their appearance. The pair made it through the other side, and looked at their new outfits in amazement. The two looked at each other and gawked at their new looks, before Talulah was tugged into a hug from Rory and Ava. The students all cheered excitedly at her new look, and Talulah tried calming her racing heartbeat from the sudden affection, but covered it with the smile she'd practiced time and time before.
Sophia - "Woohoo!"
Valentina - "You look amazing, Talulah!"
Isabel - "Dude, you and Feather look awesome!"
Rory - "Hahaha! Now that's what you call good looks!"
Layla - "You did it!"
Ava - "Aww! You guys look so adorable!"
Talulah - "Heh! Thanks, guys!"
Feather stood on guard, watching Talulah as she stood surrounded by the rest of the students, making a mental note of her fidget at the sudden contact. Looking away as he felt someone's eyes on him, Feather locked eyes with Leaf, who looked at him with a heart that was both hopeful and fearful. Not wanting the confrontation he knew would occur, Feather gave his sister a small nod before focusing his attention on Talulah, nuzzling her shoulder as she talked to the rest of the students.
Rory - "So, Lulah, now that you've got your unicorn, you ready to ride?!"
Talulah - "Yeah, I think so...Wait...Lulah?"
Rory - "Yeah, my new nickname for you!"
Sophia - "Come with us, Talulah! You're gonna love riding class!"
Talulah climbed onto Feather's back, and followed the eager riders who lead her to the track, where Ms. Primrose and Ms. Wildwood stood patiently. Everyone already knew she could ride, but the teachers wanted to let Talulah show off what she could do to determine how she'd fit in with the rest of the class. And to say they were shocked would be an understatement. As if they've been riding together for years, Talulah and Feather went around the track and did dressage moves effortlessly. Feather, as if in tune with Talulah's mind, made every jump and trick before she could instruct him on what to do. Making their way back to the group, Talulah gripped the reins a little tighter as she listened to the other students praising her.
Rory - "Lulah, that was awesome!"
Sophia - "That was incredible!"
Ava - "You and Feather were so in sync!"
Layla - "It's like Feather was able to read your mind, Talulah!"
Isabel - "You've got competition, Val!"
Valentina - "I'd expect no less from someone as talented as Talulah!"
Rory - "Now that you're a rider, we gotta show you the best trails!"
Ms. Primrose - "That's an excellent idea, Mr. Carmichael! Why don't you all take Talulah and Feather on one of the trails and get to know each other? It might be a chance for you to bond with your unicorn, Ms. Fairchild!"
Talulah - "Bond? I thought Feather and I'd already connected."
Sophia - "Yeah, but bonding with a unicorn is a little different."
Ava - "It's when your unicorn gets their magical powers, and your hair gets all colorful!"
Layla - "Ooh! I wonder what Feather's powers will be!"
Talulah dropped down from the saddle and leaned against Feather, trying to make her appearance look as normal as possible. Despite being surrounded by the Sapphire dorm kids, she could see the other students looking and whispering about her, which set her anxiety through the roof. As if he could tell what was bothering her, Rory wrapped an arm around Talulah's shoulder, giving her a side hug while taking the attention away from her and Feather.
Rory - "How about we get onto riding that trail, huh? There's a lot to see on Unicorn Island!"
Sophia - "Rory's right, we need to show you around!"
Valentina - "Trust me, Talulah, you're going to love it here!"
The trail was beautiful, and Talulah found herself stopping every few seconds to look at and examine all the different features of the forest. The group stopped at an open part of the trail, watching Talulah admire and play with the floating flowers. Rory, seeing that she was distracted by the flowers, pulled Sophia to the side to make sure he wasn't the only one who noticed Talulah's consistent pattern of holding her posture.
Talulah - "Hahaha! Woohoo! Haha! This place is amazing!"
Rory - "Hey, Soph? Can I talk to you about something?"
Sophia - "Uh, sure. We'll be right back!"
Talulah - "Okay! Hahaha!"
Rory - "...Have you noticed that Talulah acts a little...cautious all the time?"
Sophia - "Yep, I don't know why though. Ava tried talking to her this morning about it, but she said Talulah just kept changing the subject."
Rory - "You think it might have something to do with her being a princess?"
Sophia - "Maybe. I sort of get the feeling she was forced to keep a certain appearance all the time, maybe she's having trouble letting go of that instinct?"
Rory - "Maybe...either way, I'm gonna try and help her learn to have fun!"
Talulah - "Hahaha!"
Sophia - "That's great, but...do you think she'll let you?"
Rory - "Only one way to find out. Hey, Talulah!"
Rory wasn't sure why Talulah felt the need to hold her guard all the time, but he was about to change that. Talulah deserves to feel at peace, and he was gonna make sure she learned how to relax and have fun. Whether she wanted it or not!

Unicorn Academy - Honorary Siblings
Chapter 2
September 28 - September 29, 2023
Eqeoneian is a kingdom that resides on an island, far away from the rest of the countries. Since the royal family has had trust issues with the rest of the world for so many years, there's been an unspoken agreement around the world that Eqeoneian is left alone. And in return, Eqeoneian leaves everyone alone as well. As of right now, the royal children of this kingdom are Crown Prince Damian, Prince Jeremiah, Prince Michael, and Princess Talulah Fairchild. King Christopher and Queen Stephanie had the boys rather early into their relationship. Talulah, however, was an unexpected addition to the royal family, having been born by the time the triplets had become young adults. With an age gap of nineteen years, Talulah never got the change to properly bond with her brothers, and their sibling relationship is more distant than Talulah desires. Not getting the attention she wishes she could get from her parents or her brothers, Talulah ended up taking an interest in horseback riding. Currently, her closest friends were the riding instructor her parents had hired, Maxwell Parker, and whichever horse she would take for her lessons.
Mr. Parker - "That was wonderful, Princess Talulah! I haven't seen such talent since I was a boy!"
Talulah - "Haha! Thanks, Mr. Parker! One more time from the top?"
Mr. Parker - "I wish we could, your highness. But your parents have asked me to have you back by 4:00. We'll pick this up tomorrow."
Talulah - "...Alright, Mr. Parker. Come on, Bentley!"
After putting Bentley back in his stall and being escorted by to the castle by Mr. Parker, Talulah gave her parents a quick greeting before heading up to her room. It was clear they were busy with whatever royal duty they'd been given, and Talulah didn't have the energy to fight for their attention. As much as she hated it, Talulah was honestly used to this pattern by now. The most affection she would receive on a daily basis is a glance from her parents, and even then, those moments were rare. Talulah tried spending time with her brothers, but with Damian being the future king, Jeremiah and his wife preparing for their baby, and Michael having his own studies, she was lucky if they had the energy to say her name. Closing the door behind her, Talulah looked around her bedroom, feeling bitter at how it was filled with treasures, but still felt hollow and empty. Christopher and Stephanie felt bad that they couldn't provide the same amount of attention to their daughter as they did with their sons, so they lavish Talulah with expensive gifts and gowns. Jewelry and tiaras made from gold and sapphire, the kingdom's national colors. Her room was littered with whatever a girl her age could ask for, but Talulah wasn't happy. She didn't want the gifts or the clothes, she wanted a hug from her parents, or a smile directed at her from her brothers. Was that too much to ask?
??? - "Your highness? The chef has asked me to inform you that dinner is ready!"
Talulah - "Thank you, Sir. I'm coming."
As per usual, Talulah was the only one at the table. Christopher and Stephanie took their food with them to continue their list of duties, and the boys took theirs to finish their studies. The servants would feel bad, and sit at the table with her, asking her to tell them about her day. Talulah appreciates those people very much, but she still wishes it was her parents that would take the time to ask her if she had learned any new moves while horseback riding. Or if she found any new books in the library she was excited to read. Honestly, she just wants them to ask her if day was even good. Finishing her food and attempting to help with the dishes, to her failure because the servants wouldn't let her, Talulah heads back to her room and sits on the bed.
Taking a journal out from underneath her pillow, Talulah writes down and draws the riding moves she did today, before looking out the window. She knew it was silly, but every night, Talulah would pray and ask to receive affection from her parents and her brothers. Hearing the silence as her answer, as it always was, the young princess switched into a night gown before walking over to her balcony. A place she liked almost as much as the stables was her balcony, where she could do anything she wanted. She could watch the waves crash onto the beach, she could count and draw the birds that flew above the castle. She could even pretend she was having a tea party with her brothers, even if the last time they had done this with her was when she was an infant.
Letting out a breath she didn't realize she was holding, Talulah turned around to head in for the night, only to hit her foot on something before she made her first step. Looking down, Talulah saw a box that was silver, with golden engravings and horses, with a purple button in the middle. It looked like it was connected to a lock, which kept the box closed. Picking up the box slowly, Talulah looked around cautiously before walking over to her bed and getting a closer look. Pressing the button slowly, Talulah jumped back as the lock began spinning and the sound of gears shifting filled the room. In the box, an invitation and a pamphlet instantly caught Talulah's attention. Holding the invitation in her hands, the princess tried to settle between seeing reason, and hoping for a better life.
Talulah - "'We are pleased to invite you to attend Nuncior Academy. The world's leading school for promising equestrian riders?' Hold on, this isn't real. It's a trap, I know it is. Or some kind of prank. But maybe...No! It's not real, it's a trick!"
Talulah wasn't an idiot by any means. She was a princess of a kingdom that closed itself off from the rest of the world. An invitation to a riding academy she'd never heard of, along with the fact that it had made it onto her balcony without getting caught by the royal guard? This was more than likely a trap. She couldn't trust this invitation. Whatever it was, it couldn't be real...Could it?
Talulah - "I don't get it. This is a trap, right?! But if it's not...maybe it is real. But I can't, right? I mean, my parents would miss me, my brothers would miss me. There's no way they would actually let me go. But if I did go...no, I'm not going...but maybe if I ask my parents about this. Maybe they'll let me go."
Despite saying she wouldn't, Talulah kept pacing around her room, debating whether or not accepting the invitation was a good idea. Talulah told herself over and over that her family would miss her if she went away. But deep down, she knew they wouldn't even notice if she ran away. Nobody would. This is the perfect chance to start a new life. Away from the royal titles and neglectful parenting. But she couldn't, could she? Deciding to give her parents one last chance to notice her, Talulah walked down to the throne room, the invitation shaking between her hands.
Talulah - "Mom? Dad? Can I ask you guys about something?"
Stephanie - "Talulah, darling, we're very busy right now. If you could hold off until tomorrow, we'll see you first thing in the morning."
Talulah - "But I—"
Christopher - "Princess, your mother and I are very busy right now. We're debating whether our kingdom is ready to trade with outside countries. This is a very important deal, darling. We'll talk to you in the morning. In the meantime, ask your brothers if they're interested in playing with you."
Talulah - "I'm not play—"
Christopher, Stephanie - "Goodnight, Talulah."
Talulah - "...Goodnight, Mom. Goodnight, Dad."
Making her way back to her bedroom, Talulah fought back the tears and looked at the box that previously held her invitation. Deciding that enough was enough, Talulah changes out of her nightgown and into a dress that allowed her to run freely. Grabbing the bag she hid in the back of her closet, Talulah put the invitation back in the box and threw it in with the clothes she had already packed. Truth is, Talulah had been planning to run away for a few years now. Since her tenth birthday, when all she had asked for was to spend time with her family. After sitting in the dining room for five hours waiting, Talulah ran up to her room and packed a bag. She wanted to run away that night, but convinced herself to give her parents another chance. But as of right now, Talulah was done giving chances. About to walk over to the balcony, Talulah saw something shining from her vanity. Her tiara, the one she wore everyday. It was golden with sapphires, and a bigger jewel in the middle. Talulah hated being royalty, but she kept this specific crown after finding out her brothers had designed it specifically for her. Deciding to keep it even if she was running away, Talulah snapped the box that kept her crown tucked away safely and packed it in her bag. Finally making her way to the balcony, Talulah climbed down using the engravings on the walls to get to the garden. Talulah had spent her life trying to figure out how to sneak out of the castle, hoping it would make her parents notice her disappearance. But right now, she was grateful her parents never realized she had snuck out of the castle so many times. Having memorized the guards' shifts and patrols, Talulah snuck past them without breaking a sweat. Trying to get through the woods at night would be a daunting and pointless idea, so the young princess slept against a tree once she was sure she was far enough from the kingdom. Waking up with a new sense of determination, the young princess made it to the docks and saw her ride, but became suspicious when she realized nobody was driving it. Still feeling upset from being dismissed so easily, Talulah disregarded the caution she felt and jumped into the boat.
Talulah - "Well, I've seen weirder things than a boat without a driver. Besides, a princess should be able to handle strange situations, as my so called parents would tell me—Woah! Aah!"
With the boat flying into the air, Talulah held onto the seats for dear life. After a few seconds, Talulah got the courage to check below, and saw herself flying over the sea. But before she could comprehend what was going on, Talulah saw an island in the distance, filled with trees, valleys, and mountains. In the middle of the island, there was a giant building that shined in the sunlight, and Talulah could see what looked like barns made of different gemstones and gold. Landing at the docks, Talulah grabbed her bag tightly before taking a moment to take in her surroundings. But before she could breathe, she jumped at the sudden crowd in front of her. It was a crowd of riding students her age, all of them having some portion of their hair colored. The six students at the front had outfits that looked different from the rest of the riding uniforms. But what caught Talulah's attention the most was the fact that the horses weren't horses. They were unicorns.
Talulah - "...What...is going on?"
Ms. Primrose - "Welcome to our humble island, your highness! I am Ms. Primrose, the head teacher at Unicorn Academy!"
Talulah - "...Unicorn Academy?"
Ms. Primrose - "Yes, the invitation you received is disguised as an invitation for a normal riding academy. But this is the school where promising students will learn to defend Unicorn Island from danger. We've seen and heard of your impressive riding skills, and we had a feeling that you would fit in perfectly around here!"
Talulah - "...I...uh..."
Ms. Primrose - "Don't worry, your highness. I know this is a lot to take in right now. Which is why I've assigned my most promising students to show you around!"
Sophia - "Hi there, your majesty! My name is Sophia!"
Ava - "I'm Ava! Don't you worry, you are going to love it here!"
Layla - "My name is Layla, your highness! If you'd like, I'd be happy to help you learn about the history of Unicorn Academy!"
Valentina - "Your highness, I am honored to introduce myself! I am Valentina Furi, and as one of the longest standing legacies at Unicorn Academy, I'd be honored to show you around myself!"
Isabel - "Sup, Dude! I'm Isabel, and trust me, this place is the best!"
Rory - "And I'm Rory! Nice to meet ya! Hope you like pranks!"
Talulah - "...Hi, everyone. I'm Talulah."
Ms. Primrose - "I know this is all very confusing, Princess Talulah. But don't worry, I have a feeling you'll feel right at home here. Unicorn Academy isn't for everyone, but I get the feeling that it is for you."
Ms. Furi - "At Unicorn Academy, your dormitory is chosen off of a gemstone that best suits you. The fate fairies assign all the students to their dorm rooms, and we'll have the students send you along."
A purple fate fairy flew up to Talulah, causing her to jump back. Before she could process it though, the fairy flew above her head, and a sapphire appeared over her. Ava started squealing in excitement and ran over to hug Talulah, while the rest of the gang cheered that the princess was selected to join their dormitory. Rory threw an arm over Talulah's shoulder, and the princess froze at the extra amount of physical touch. The most she had received in her entire life was one of her parents holding her hand at press conferences.
Ava - "Yay! You're gonna be in Sapphire Dorm with us! You'll be our new bestie in no time!"
Rory - "Trust me, kid! You're gonna love Sapphire Dorm, it's got everything! Including the best snacks at the Academy!"
Talulah - "Yeah...I can't wait...I'm sorry, I'm just...not used to getting this much attention."
Rory - "Aren't you a princess?"
Valentina - "Well, don't worry, your highness! At Unicorn Academy, you'll become the bell of the ball in no time!"
Sophia - "Alright, guys. Let's give her a breather. So, your majesty, you wanna head to Sapphire Dorm and get unpacked?"
Talulah - "Yeah, thank you, Sophia. I'm ready."
Layla - "Don't worry, your majesty! I'll make sure your entire room is organized to even the slightest detail!"
Rory - "So, your highness, what's it like being royalty?"
Sophia, Valentina - "Rory!"
Rory - "What? I'm just asking!"
Talulah - "It's...different, but nice, I guess. But if it's alright with you guys, can you just call me Talulah? I really don't like the titles that people use for me."
Ava - "No problem, Talulah! As your official new best friends, we promise we'll make sure you feel comfortable at Unicorn Academy!"
Talulah - "Haha! Thank you, Ava. All of you."
Having made it to the Sapphire Dormitory, Talulah looked around in awe at the living room, with actual sapphires decorating parts of the room and furniture. Following Sophia, Ava, and Rory up the stairs, Talulah opened the door to what would be her bedroom. And to say she was amazed is an understatement. The walls were a calming lilac, while the floor was made of polished marble, reminding her of her bedroom at the castle. She had a canopy bed with purple, coral pink, and magenta bedding and pillows. On the bed sat a leather sketchbook that had a golden spine and chain to it, with Talulah's name written in sapphires on the front. In a corner of the room, there was a vanity and closet that held various pieces of jewelry and clothing, similar to the ones she had back home. In the left corner next to the balcony, was a little reading nook and desk, suitable for reading and studying potions and magic at the same time. In the corner to the right, there was a crystal harp, with strings that looked as if they were gold. The balcony itself was probably Talulah's favorite. It had a perfect view with a golden table and chairs, letting Talulah sit early in the morning for the sunrise. Needless to say, Talulah loved her new room. Unlike her bedroom in the castle that was filled with gifts to replace affection, the items placed in this room had meaning and relation to her personality.
Sophia - "Most of us have a roommate in our dorms, except for Valentina. I'll give you one guess why. But since you started a bit later than us, you get the whole room to yourself!"
Ava - "At Unicorn Academy, your dorm room is decorated based off your personality! What do you think?"
Talulah - "I...I LOVE IT! Hahaha! This is the best thing I've ever seen in my life! This room is all mine?!"
Rory - "Yep! Pretty awesome, right?"
Rory was suddenly jumped as Talulah rushed into his and the girls' arms, bringing them all in for a hug. Talulah wasn't used to affection whatsoever. But she felt like someone put in effort to make her something, and this was first time she had felt this in nine years. Bidding goodnight to her new dorm mates and friends, Talulah decided on a nightgown that was in the newly stocked closet, and fell onto her bed with a giant smile on her face. If she felt any regrets about leaving Eqeoneian before, those thoughts were long gone. For the first time in almost thirteen years, Talulah felt...happy.

Unicorn Academy - Honorary Siblings
Chapter 1
September 28, 2023 (When the story takes place.)
Sophia lead the gang along a trail, with Valentina and Isabel attempting to take the lead. Making their way to a grove with a pool of water in the middle, the kids let their unicorns rehydrate as Ava and Layla unpacked their picnic. But even on what was supposed to be a relaxing lunch, one of the unicorns was on edge. Leaf, Ava's unicorn, kept swerving her head around, as if waiting for something to appear.
Ava - "Aw, what's wrong, Leaf? You got a case of the jumpies!"
Sophia - "You alright, Leaf? You look like Rory when we tricked him into thinking there was a ghost in the barn."
Rory - "I didn't think there was a ghost! I told you, ghosts aren't real! Besides, I only reacted that way to make sure I could protect you girls from the possible danger!"
Isabel - "Right..."
Sophia - "Anyway, maybe she'll feel better once she gets something to—"
The sounds of branches breaking caused the group to go silent. Leaf got riled up and stood at the front of group, and not even Ava was able to calm her down. Whatever it was, Leaf knew that it was dangerous, and they had to get out of there. Before the unicorn riders could guess what the mysterious creature was that's stalking their picnic, the creature shows itself to be a unicorn. A light yellow pelt, similar to Leaf's but a little more golden, with a golden horn at the top of his forehead. His mane was dark purple, also like Leaf's, but with coral and magenta stripes, and piercing green eyes. His most noticeable feature though was the two feathers that were kept behind his left ear.
Sophia - "Woah! Isn't he a beauty!"
Ava - "Aww! He kind of looks like Leaf!"
Isabel - "And look at the muscles on him! That's one strong unicorn!"
Sophia - "Hey there, big guy. It's okay."
Sophia attempted to approach the unicorn, only for him to rear up in anger, causing her, along with the rest of the gang, to jump back in surprise. Leaf jumped in front of Sophia, neighing desperately at the angry unicorn, as if pleading with him to let them go. Quickly mounting their unicorns, the riders decided it was best to make a run for it. And they were right, because as they checked behind them, they realized the unicorn was chasing them throughout the woods.
Rory - "Guys. Run. Now."
Sophia - "Everyone, get back on your unicorns!"
Isabel - "Don't have to tell me twice!"
Valentina - "And I thought Cinder was fierce!"
Sophia - "Run!"
Despite their efforts, the gang wasn't able to throw off the aggressive unicorn, and they were getting tired. Leaf, who seemed to know a shortcut, cut in front of Wildstar and lead the riders and unicorns down a path that, for some reason, the mysterious unicorn wouldn't cross. Giving one final huff at the riders, the unicorn ran off, leaving everyone confused and scared.
Layla - "I'm sorry, but what was that?!"
Ava - "Poor Leaf, are you alright, girl?"
Rory - "That unicorn did not like us!"
Valentina - "Oh, really?! You think?!"
Sophia - "Not the time to be sarcastic, you guys!"
Isabel - "Let's just get back to the stables and away from that guy!"
Ava - "I don't think this is something we should move on from. Leaf knew that unicorn! I know she did, it's like she was trying to communicate with him!"
Sophia - "Ava's right. But right now, the unicorns need a good rest and grooming. We'll talk about it in the dormitory, but for now, let's get these guys back to the stables."
Layla - "Good idea."
Despite the agreement they had made about discussing the unicorn, the riders found themselves all thinking about how he was so aggressive and violent. Cinder wasn't necessarily the nicest unicorn at the academy, but he never went out of his way to intimidate someone. But this new unicorn was so territorial over the grove, and Ava could tell by the way Leaf was acting, that this wasn't just a rouge unicorn that they'd forget about tomorrow. Ms. Primrose and Ms. Furi walk into the stables, causing the six students to loose their focus on the previous events.
Ms. Primrose - "Good afternoon, students! I have some important tasks for you today! I need you guys to make sure that Unicorn Academy is spotless for tomorrow!"
Sophia - "What's going on tomorrow, Ms. Primrose?"
Ms. Furi - "We'll be having a new student joining us, and she'll be arriving by dawn tomorrow. This potential student is of high background and bloodlines, so we need to give our best impression."
Isabel - "I'm confused. I thought the freshman class was already full."
Valentina - "And why is this new student so important that we have to put off riding to clean the academy?"
Ms. Primrose - "Well, we were thinking of keeping it a surprise until tomorrow, but it'll probably be best to tell you now. We ask that tomorrow, you greet this student with the same respect that you give to your fellow classmates, but until we have her approval, we all need to address her by her proper title."
Rory - "Title? What is she, a princess? Haha!"
Ms. Primrose - "Actually, she is. Our new student joining us tomorrow is none other than Princess Talulah Fairchild, of the Eqeoneian Kingdom! Isn't that exciting?!"
Students - "...WHAT?!"
Valentina - "Hold on! You're telling me an actual princess will be coming to Unicorn Academy?! This is huge!"
Ava - "Ooh! I've never met royalty before!"
Layla - "But isn't Eqeoneian closed off from the rest of the world? I learned about the kingdom in my old history class, and my teacher said the royal family doesn't trust anyone outside of the island."
Ms. Primrose - "That's true, but we trust that we'll have the king and queen's permission for their daughter to attend our school, as long as they're notified in advance."
Ms. Furi - "Besides, I can't see the princess making it off the island without the entire kingdom knowing of her departure."
Isabel - "I heard the princess loves riding! She'll probably run circles around you, Valentina!"
Valentina - "Hmph! Well, if I were to expect any real competition, it would have to be from someone so regal as Princess Talulah!"
Sophia - "Don't worry, Ms. Primrose! We'll make she feels right at home here!"
Ms. Primrose - "Thank you, Sophia. I trust this will be a historical moment for Unicorn Academy!"
Ms. Furi - "You'll all be assigned different tasks throughout the day, and you'll receive your first ones after lunch. Make sure to keep your energy today. We have a lot to do before the princess gets here."
Ms. Furi - "Sophia and Valentina will be in charge of the welcoming committee."
Valentina - "Yes! Thank you, Auntie! You won't regret this!"
Sophia - "You can count on us, Ms. Primrose!"
Ms. Furi - "Isabel and Layla will be in charge of organizing and dividing the work between students, as well as preparing the unicorns."
Layla - "Organization is my specialty! Don't worry, Ms. Furi, everything is going to be organized perfectly! Ooh, I can't wait to get started!"
Valentina - "Make sure that the unicorns are spotless, you two! They need to look their best for the princess. We all do."
Isabel - "I see you looking at me!"
Ms. Primrose - "Anyways, Ava and Rory will be in charge of decorating the front of Unicorn Academy to make it as warm and welcoming as possible. Princess Talulah probably has high standards for what's given to her, so we have only one chance to impress her."
Ava - "Yippee! You can count on us, Ms. Primrose! We'll have the place looking friendly in no time!"
Rory - "Yeah, what she said!"
The teachers left the students to finish grooming their unicorns, who made their way to the main hall to gather and discuss their assignments. Everyone was excited to hear an actually princess was attending Unicorn Academy, but it left some of them on edge about making a good impression. One student wasn't that concerned though, ready to give his input to the group.
Rory - "I wouldn't sweat it. I mean, who wouldn't like it here?"
Valentina - "Maybe so, but we still need to give it our best."
Sophia - "As much as I hate to admit it, Valentina's right. The princess isn't gonna be a normal student here. She's probably used to higher standards."
Ava - "Aw, but that doesn't mean she'll be rude! Maybe she's really nice!"
Layla - "Not much is known about the kingdom of Eqeoneian, only that the royal family has cut off all contact with the outside world. All that's known is there are three princes, and one princess. There isn't really any credible source to interpret their personalities."
Isabel - "Come on, she can't be that bad if she rides horses! Unless she's anything like Valentina."
Valentina - "I heard that!"
Rory - "I wonder if she likes pranking people. I need a scheming buddy!"
Valentina - "I don't know whose sake I should pray for if that's true, mine or yours!"
Isabel - "Whatever! Come on, I'm starving!"
Rory - "You said it! Let's go!"
The six students bid a temporary farewell to their unicorns as they went off to the cafeteria. Having made their way to lunch, Sophia and Ava pushed the food around their plates, still thinking about the mysterious unicorn. Rory, noticing their distress, flung grapes in their direction to grab their attention, which proved to be successful. Sophia was annoyed by his antics, but at least Ava found them amusing.
Rory - "Hey, think fast!"
Sophia - "Ow! Rory! What was that for?!"
Ava - "Mmm! Grapes!"
Rory - "Sorry, but you guys have been sitting there for the past five minutes without so much as a single peep! What's wrong?"
Ava - "Oh, sorry about that, Rory. I guess Sophia and I are just..."
Sophia - "We're worried about the strange unicorn we saw. What if he comes back?"
Valentina - "Sophia, I don't know if you remember this, but we have bigger things to worry about right now! A real princess is coming to Unicorn Academy! We need to be getting ready for her arrival!"
Isabel - "Yeah, but that unicorn was strange, Dude."
Layla - "I've read that some unicorns are more closed off than others, but none have ever tried to attack us! What if he comes to the academy?"
Sophia - "Something tells me that unicorn isn't coming within fifty miles of Unicorn Academy as long as he's alive."
Ms. Furi - "What's this about a strange unicorn?"
Students - "Aah!"
Ms. Furi had suddenly teleported with her unicorn to the students' lunch table, and her usual stern face was mixed with caution. Ms. Primrose came over as well, though her expression was much more relaxed than the former. Explaining the situation they had when going out with their unicorns, the students watched as the teachers went from curious to horrified in just a matter of seconds.
Ms. Furi - "...What do you mean a unicorn tried to attack you?!"
Rory - "Uh, exactly what we said? He just came out of nowhere and chased us out of the woods!"
Ms. Primorse - "This unicorn...did he have two feathers behind his left ear?"
Ava - "Yeah! And he looked a lot like Leaf! It's like she knew him."
Ms. Furi - "None of you are to go near that unicorn ever again!"
Isabel - "What?!"
Valentina - "Auntie, what's wrong?"
Ms. Primrose - "That unicorn is wild and strayed himself away from the rest of the herds. He's a wild and violent animal, with no desire for a rider or any type of companionship. Since his birth, he's been stubborn."
Ms. Furi - "And as for his similarities to Leaf, that's because he's her twin brother."
Ava - "What?!"
Layla - "You're telling us that the sweetest unicorn on this island is...that unicorn's sister?! His twin, no less?!"
Sophia - "That explains why Leaf got so anxious when he appeared."
Isabel - "I think she knew he'd attack us."
Ms. Primrose - "Regardless of his relation to Leaf, that unicorn is dangerous. If you come into contact with him again, you are to report back to the school immediately! He won't tread onto the campus grounds."
Rory - "Sheesh, with the way he ran after us, you'd think he woke up on the wrong side of the grass this morning!"
As the lunch bell ran, the teachers gave out the instructions to the students, and sent them off to work. Isabel and Layla managed to organize and clean the unicorns without any problems. Sophia and Valentina, while they had a few...disagreements, they finished the meeting and set up of the welcoming committee with only a few bumps along the way. The next day, Ava and Rory stood at the front of the academy, Rory polishing the statues while Ava and Leaf used plant magic to decorate the walls. Looking over to his left, he saw Ava running her hand through Leaf's mane, who decorated the base of a statue with flowers while looking around anxiously.
Rory - "You alright, you two?"
Ava - "Huh? Oh, yeah! Sorry Rory, I think Leaf's just a little shaken up about what happened."
Rory - "Don't worry, Leaf! That unicorn is far away from here! He's probably like me and doesn't like studying! Haha!"
Ava - "Haha! Yeah, try not to worry, Leaf! You heard him, that mean old unicorn can't get you!"
Ms. Primrose - "Hello, Ava and Rory! The entrance looks amazing, I'm sure the princess will love it! In fact, Princess Talulah will be arriving in just a few moments!"
Ava - "Ooh! You hear that, Leaf! The princess is almost here!"
Rory - "Then what are we waiting for? Come on!"
Rory didn't know anything about this princess, but he was excited to see if she was good at riding. And little did he know, he would grow closer to this new student than he ever thought he would.

Hey, guys! I figured it was time I showed you more about Talulah! The photo above is an old design, but I figured it would still show the relationship between Talulah and Rory. Also, I would like to be known that Rory’s design was very complicated for me, but I promise I’m learning to draw different hair textures! I originally wanted to make a proper reference sheet, but there ended being too much to fit. So with that known, here’s some things to know about Talulah! (By the way, so everyone is aware of the timeline, this takes place before and during season two of Unicorn Academy!)
Name - Talulah Adeline Fortuna Fairchild
Gender - Female
Sexuality - Straight Ally
Age - 14
Birthday - June 12, 2009
Personality - Kind, Compassionate, Mature, Guarded, Inquisitive, Loyal, Fierce
Likes - Unicorn/Horseback riding, Flying, Snow, Baking, Strawberries, French toast, Romance, Family, Friendship, Fluffly/Soft things, Holidays, Aerial gymnastics
Dislikes - Ravenzella, Lazul, Grim magic, Bullies, Coconut milk, Most teas (Skyberry tea is an exception)
Fears - Fluffhoppers, Being abandoned, Thunder and lightning (She eventually gets over it)
Talulah is the daughter of the royal family of Eqeoneian, a kingdom that’s shut itself off from the world after…an incident that had happened decades ago. Born during the worst period of her kingdom’s economic crisis, Talulah found herself not getting any attention from her parents, since they spent all their time trying to bring the kingdom back to a stable economy. Talulah’s brothers also joined their parents in fixing the kingdom, and with a nineteen year age difference, Talulah didn’t have much she could bond with her brothers over to begin with. Talulah received her invitation to Unicorn Academy on her balcony when she was heading to bed, and without any delay, she packed her things and set off for her new school. This was what Talulah had wanted for so long, a chance to start a new life.
Knowing the kingdom would find out at some point that she had disappeared, Talulah didn’t tell anyone at Unicorn Academy that she didn’t technically have her parents’ permission to leave Eqeoneian. This resulted in her closing herself off from the rest of her dorm mates in Sapphires, but Rory was able to break her out of her shell. Seeing that she doesn’t exactly know how to have fun, Rory takes Talulah under his wing and “adopts” her as his honorary little sister. Although confused and nervous about it, Talulah eventually started getting used to her new life, and she enjoyed every moment she spent with her new brother. But when she learns about something going on in Eqeoneian, Talulah goes back to save the one person she considered her family from her old home.

Hey, everyone!
I have a Wattpad and Deviantart account, but I saw that most of the Unicorn Academy fandom is here on Tumblr. So why not share my poorly drawn fanart? I’ll just be posting fanart and chapters from my Unicorn Academy book on here, as well as a link to my account. I want a safe and respectful environment to post my art about these adorable unicorns! So please keep a sense of respect when posting any comments! Without further ado, let’s get this unicorn riding!
I’d like to introduce my OC Talulah, a rider with a kind heart and a love for all things family oriented! I’ll be making a post about her, but this is her design!…At least until my dumb brain decides I need to change it again. Talulah is the honorary brother of Rory Carmichael, and more will be explained on that in another post! Thank you for seeing this ridiculous drawing, and I hope everyone has a wonderful day/night!
