Wanna hear about the worst day in the world?

TLDR; My car broke down,I was stranded alone for an hour, I failed on an exam, I saw my ex boyfriend, and then on my way to get my car fixed I got rear-ended.

So I'm a nanny and I took my girl to the mall to meet the Easter Bunny and when I tried to leave my car wouldn't start so I called the mom and she came and got the baby and said if I needed help to give her a call.

I called every single one of my friends and they either (1) were at work, (2) had dead phones, or (3) didn't answer because they were asleep. I ended up stranded at the mall for an hour, freaking out.

Finally, after about an hour of anxiously wandering the mall, my boyfriend called me back -- he had been the asleep friend. He immediately woke up when I told him what happened (the first question out of his mouth was "is the baby with you?") and he was there to pick me up within a few minutes.

By the time he picked me up, I had class in 20 minutes. I get to class a few minutes late and we had an exam. I'd studied but apparently not hard enough. It was so hard. I didn't do good on it. I'm not looking forward to getting my grade back at all.

Then I had to go teach ballet but since I didn't have a car, I had to wait for my boyfriend to get out of class so I went to his building and sat there for 2 hours. My laptop died after an hour and a half so for the last 30 minutes I just sat there waiting and stressing about being late to ballet and my car being broken.

While I was waiting, my ex boyfriend walked into the building being loud and obnoxious. I haven't seen him in over a year, so it was definitely a shock to me. We made eye contact but he luckily didn't try to talk to me until after he walked away, when he sent me a few text messages asking me to be his friend, which I ignored. Because (1) why would I want to be friends with someone who treated me so terribly for so long? and (2) why would I want to be friends with someone who tries to get with me every time he drinks alcohol?

Finally, my boyfriend gets out of class, so we stop by our house really fast so I can throw on my ballet clothes and then rush to the studio. I was supposed to teach the class on my own because the owner of the studio wasn't going to be there but when I walked in, she was already there. Her other plans got canceled. So I told her my car was broken and asked if I could leave class to go fix it.

My boyfriend and I went to the mall and he jump started my car. It worked, which meant it was my battery, so we drove, in separate cars, to the shop to get a new battery. On my way there, I made a wrong turn and ended up on a street near a school that was having an event so there was a lot of stop and go traffic. During one time of particularly hard stop, a little car rear-ended me. We pulled into a lot and checked our cars and they were basically fine (hers was worse than mine) so we left without exchanging information and I drove to the car shop and dropped $60 on a battery. (My boyfriend split the price with me.)

We drove to his mom's house to grab our clean laundry and while there, I played with the kids while he replaced my burnt out brake light and expired license plates. Then my uncle was in town for the day so I met up with him and my mom and sister at Starbucks for a couple hours. That was fun.
