[I love when Amanda‘s co-workers and other people who aren‘t part of fandom gush about Amanda. It's kind of reassuring to see that my perception of her is not just me seeing her through rose-colored glasses and putting her on a pedestal due to being a fangirl, but that there actually is something very special about her.]

[In the SG1 episode Rite of Passage, when Cassie is in the infirmary. Sam tells her "I see you…and until your head starts spinning around, and probably even then, I will still see…you." I am so grateful to Amanda for fighting for Sam and asking the writers to show more facets to her character and that line is indicative of not just Sam's compassion but Amanda's as well and I'm so grateful she brought that to the character of Samantha Carter.]

[Amanda's giggle brings me so much joy and my day is always better whenever I hear it!]

[I‘m deeply touched by Amanda‘s strength and courage. I‘m amazed by her courage to talk about difficult issues such as her miscarriages and her struggle with self-esteem. I‘m in awe by her strength to go through that while still managing to give so much joy and love and light to others. She truly is an inspiring role model.]

[I adore how Amanda just totally owns her goofiness. Her sense of humor is so infectious that it's impossible not to smile while she's cracking a joke.]

[At my first convention I was struck by how very humble Amanda was. Several conventions later it’s still one of the things that impresses me most about her: her humility and her genuine, deep gratitude towards fans.]

Even after nine AT conventions, she keeps leaving the closing ceremony with tears in her eyes if she hasn’t already broken down in tears on stage. Even after years of experience with fans, she keeps getting touched and becomes emotional, again and again, when fans get emotional in front of her or when they share personal stories and she keeps thanking the fans for the support and for sharing their emotions and stories and you notice in her voice and by her word choice how she truly means it, from the bottom of her heart.

[Sometimes I think about how much Amanda has influenced my life positively and I get very emotional.  Words cannot express the level of gratitude I feel.]

[I hate having to save my pennies. Not being able to attend cons and get my dose of Amanda hugs feels like i'm going cold turkey.]

[Not only does Amanda give the best hugs, ever, but they have an added quality of making you feel like nothing could possibly go wrong. And there's a few moments, where you feel a little silly for thinking that things ever could. <3]

[When you meet Amanda you realise that her positivity is infectious. I wish more people were like that.]

[Amanda Tapping has ruined me for any other woman, no other can possibly measure up. I'd be sad about that if I wasn't so in love!]

[I love that Amanda lives by mottos such as ‚Live Peace‘ or ‚Treat Everyone with Respect and Kindness. Everyone.‘ I sometimes get laughed at for having such mottos. It's reassuring to see that it’s not weak nor absurd nor naïve to think that way.]
