I’m pretty bad at drawing realism hell even semi realism but I wanted to draw something for my mom and dads side of the family as a little gift for new years.

My grandma (dad’s side) died of ovarian cancer. She was supposed to be cancer free and then it returned 10 fold. My uncle died unexpectedly and suspiciously in his sleep. My family suspects foul play from the mother of his kids. I think the bright side to his passing is realizing he’s not hurting anymore from losing my grandma and they’ve reunited.

My aunt (mom’s twin) died on impact in a car crash. The police think she was drunk driving but an autopsy couldn’t be done because the car caught fire and burned most of her.

It hurts a lot losing someone I grew up with, like a part of my childhood is no longer there. You share memories with people and once they’re gone, you only share them with yourself. I think that’s what hurts the most about moving on without them. But I’m so happy I got those memories in the first place.
