the animation bug…….it got me……

I got inspired by some of the rough I saw for lackadaisy episode 1 and decided to animate a scene from the comic. That thought slowly snowballed into this shot, which—while it technically doesn’t exist in canon—is inspired by Rocky’s demeanour in Breakdown.

I may or may not have been grabbing the air like a baby reaching for a mobile trying to figure out how someone would turn a steering wheel.

But to answer your question seriously, she was running away from a man who caught her stealing his watch. Unfortunately, she was not really paying attention to what was in front of her and she collided with Mordecai, sending both sprawling to the ground. He barely had time to process what had happened before she quickly ran away again. This is their first encounter because I thought it would be funny when they meet again and they’re like “IT WAS YOU”, and their beef would start before they even officially meet ^^

Oh yeah and I imagined Viktor just staring blankly at the scene without saying a word 😭

I actually found out about him a while ago and I just knew I had to draw him someday, and that day has come 😌 Benjamin is such a sweetheart and I can’t wait to see more of him 💕

- Credit to the og art inspiration and reference !!! I was looking everywhere for a decent Ferris wheel reference when this century old magazine cover crossed my path and was what I had in my mind (coincidentally being from the roaring 20s, as well!), and I could hardly help myself. The further I got in my drawing, the more ✨ artistic liberties ✨ I ended up taking, and I, uh… I guess you can say I like carnival lights. A lot.

I have this idea of Michael wearing a Victorian maid dress huhu so I drew it to reality. For context, he lost a bet and he's not happy about it.

He's still happy to serve the Humble family though, even with some funsies or not. As this dress is already humiliating him, he, however, doesn't have a fragile masculinity for him to crash out destructively.

Should I add part 2?

Some more valentines art, and an introduction of Åse's childhood ''gal pal'' Nora. Nora being the daughter of a wealthier family couldn't openly be Åse's friend but they hung out a lot in secret, and held hands, and kissed sometimes. looking back as an adult Åse views it as her first relationship but at the time they were just special friends. Each others most precious secret.

Nora was adopted and is originally from Greece, this often makes her feel out of place in her family. Being outsiders in a sense is something she and Åse bond over. She wants to be an actor or an opera singer when she grows up, and writes little plays but she has only ever showed them to Åse. She has always fancied girls over boys, even if she wasn't aware. Though looking back there were some signs, like that one time she started crying uncontrollably after having a dream she was married to a man.
