reddit post (dnd subreddit): hi im a dnd player and for some reason i almost exclusively play female characters even though im (ugh) a guy. should i be questioning my gender?

thinking about how slimes in some series can become freeform shapeshifters of whatever creature they "eat", with a few being able to become an exact replica of a human, memories and all

there's definitely a layer of tragedy there if the slime gobbles up a corpse that someone knows and takes not only the shape, but also the personality of that person. even worse if someone knows that that's the slime mimicking someone else, but everyone who doesn't know just thinks it's that person

there's also the scenarios where the slime in question was a person before, eats up someone's corpse, and now has to contend with not only their original personhood being stripped from them, but also mixing up their identity with the person they've consumed

all that said, forcefem by having a guy become a slime, eat a girl (preferably already dead for other reasons unless you want a more evil protag), and have no option but to become that girl 👍

ok one more thought before i go to sleep. zelda as a series would be massively more compelling if it wasn't basically always about reincarnations of the same 3 characters. the triforce simply winding up in the hands of whoever was most fitting to have each piece instead of Literally Link Zelda And Ganon Again Every Time would actually let them like. get creative with the core cast. but being creative isn't really a thing nintendo does anymore so it's a moot point
