Something about the blustery wind of this carve always reminds me of fall 🍁💨😍. This cow was found in the Wilds of Kauai, near an old pasture overlooking the ocean. How now, carved cows! 🐄 I adore how different each skull's voice is. I never start a carve with a design in mind. Generally one element will come to the surface, be it a flower branch, a lotus succulent, a ship, or a cascading waterfall. I'll start carving each component as it comes to the surface, and slowly but surely the entire carve emerges piece by piece. Some skulls have strong voices throughout, and others taper off, leaving me to compete the design on my own (hence a homage to Jungle Julie!). I never expected to be down this rabbit hole, but I'm going to keep falling as long as the skulls keep taking 🖤💀🖤 . .
