A global congress was needed for the Shias of the time of the Imams. That rendezvous is the day of Arbaeen; the place is the land of Karbala; because the spirit of Shiism is the spirit of Karbala, the spirit of Ashura. The pulse of Ashura is evident within the body of Shia.

Shiism was a community that lived dispersedly in various lands and territories. It was an organization and a union with calculated submission, commanded speakouts, and planned silence: everything was thought out. There was only one shortcoming: they did not meet often!

#Arbaeen pilgrimage is the convention of the Shias at a global congress on a memorable land: a land with glorious memories, the land of martyrs & the resting place of those martyred for the sake of God. Followers of Shiism gather there to pledge brotherhood and stronger loyalty.

The enemy had come close to the tomb of Imam Hussain in Karbala, to Kadhimiya and also to Zeinabiyeh; they had actually seized those places. Your and other families' youth went to deter this plight from Islam and Muslims.

Had a group of people not made that sacrifice then, today the glory of the love for #ImamHussain would not sweep the world in such a manner. Today you can see people from various nations-- including Persian, Azeri, Urdu and Europeans and Americans join the #ArbaeenWalk.

What martyred defenders of the shrine did is like the sacrifice by those who gave their lives to protect #ImamHussain's tomb. There was a day when Abbasid caliphs wanted to destroy Imam Hussain's tomb and probably other sacred graves but some gave their lives to prevent them. https://t.co/52AovgyiYg

The authorities in the Islamic establishment must know that, being grateful to God for the position they have received requires that they get closer to the people, interact with them and show more kindness and care for them.

In #ImamAli's logic anyone who becomes prominent and respected for his position must not start treating people differently, distancing himself from the people. https://t.co/dMw9xAmspe

Some people are into the habit of crediting the Westerners for whatever good in the Islamic society. One is truly appalled by their low-mindedness! They say, "yes, they taught us this transparency;" no, Imam Ali (a.s.) has taught us transparency. https://t.co/QbivgP8MKY

For the academics, the way to combat Domineering system’s tricks is to strengthen national identity and idealism among them. Our young elites should take pride in being Iranian, being Muslim, in their outstanding national identity, ideals and history.

Human Resources make a great treasure and wealth that enemy seeks to grab away from the country. Among arrogant powers’ methods to so are physical removal of scientific elites, culturally deviating them or making them busy with irrelevant affairs.

The enemy seeks to exclusively possess science &wealth-producing, power-producing knowledge; hence they assassinate nation’s scientists. This didn’t occur only to Iran. When US dominated over Iraq, it identified&killed 10s of scientists so that Iraq wouldn’t develop after Saddam.

The reason behind country's scientific, moral and political backwardness during that dark era was incompetent, avaricious, dependent and inept rulers who were arrogant towards the nation and didn’t care for people’s welfares, yet bowed down before foreigners.

Since 1935, when the first university was built in Iran, till 44 years onwards—in 1979, Iran had a total of 150k university students but today we have over 4 million university students. One should be thankful to the Islamic Republic for this great move.

During the Qajar and Pahlavi eras, Iran was among the most backward countries in up-to-date knowledge. Our share of science production during Pahlavis hardly made 1/10 of a percent, but today Islamic Republic of Iran's share has increased to about 2%. We shouldn't stop there. https://t.co/MQ9TFuUBlb

It is necessary to have scientific ties with nations that are progressing rapidly. These countries are mainly in Asia; hence, we should look to the East not the West. Likewise, to look to the West and Europe lead to nothings but lagging behind, begging them and being humiliated.
