CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT THE FACT CHRIS HAS HIS FINGER ON THE TRIGGER AND WESKER DOESN'T, AND NEITHER OF THEM SHOOT?! WHEN THE ENTIRE GAME COULD'VE ENDED RIGHT THERE?!

There's something so ridiculously intimate about admiring your captain, who accepted you into the newly founded Special Tactics and Rescue Service (known as S.T.A.R.S.), despite being discharged from the Air Force due to misconduct. Then, having him study you and take notes on your abilities, making it known on numerous occasions how proud he is of you. And then, when his evil plan is revealed way later, instead of killing you, he goes on a nerdy rant about how much he likes tyrants and gets impaled in front of you, only to be revealed alive four games later and choke you in a leather suit.

(also kind of crazy how his first line of dialogue was chris and his last word was also chris)

I do, but minorly compared to Nicholai/Wesker and Nicholai/Sergei tbh; more of a 'pretty boytoy' situation lol. I can't see anything serious happening between them unless they ended up stuck together somehow. Namely I see Carlos as Nicholai outlet of 'normal' compared to Sergei and Wesker; Carlos is youthful and good-intentioned and quite naïve, he still believes in good and has no idea what's going on behind the curtains, and that contradiction to Nicholai's character is strangely attractive to him, as well as being a way for Nicholai to forget all the forces backing him into a corner for just a moment
