I think that Victim and Kings motivations are different. While both started with the loss of someone close to them, King wanted revenge on behalf of his son. He’s fueled by anger for a death he feels he could have prevented.

Victim spiraled into a depression and became dormant for years. There was no motivation, there was no anger, only grief. Only depression. The only reason he starts his journey of revenge is because the cursor that abused, humiliated and destroyed him for years came to his world, his territory. Yeah Chosen was there and was associated with Mitsi’s death, but at the end of the day Victim wants the Cursor. Beating Chosen up is just the cherry on top.

TLDR: King wants revenge for his son, Victim wants revenge for himself.
