—- we’re mid zombie apocalypse!

the airport was chaotic, chaos would actually be an understatement. everyone was being evacuated, people were coming from everywhere, children were screaming for there parents.. despite the madness everyone had one thought: escape.

“what is going on?” esme muttered, she grabbed onto her twin’s hand allowing them both to be pulled, by amour, through the massive crowds.

“whatever it is, it doesn’t matter! we need to focus on getting out, hold on tight!” the scientist’s grip tightened by the second until the managed to reach the back emergency exit.

at first the door didn’t budge, king and amour both had to thro themselves at it. esme, with a sprained wrist was unable to contribute.

“ah!” a chill went down esme’s spine as amour let out a scream, filled with horror and disbelief.

“what’s going on?!” esme shouted while being pushed by the people who saw the open door. before she could here a reply those surrounding her started screaming as well. feeling trapped she tried to push through, screaming for her brother and cousin.

‘what would amour do? what would amour do?’ was the only thought that seemed clear in her clouded mind. ‘call someone..’ she reached for her phone and continued out of the crowd when she saw a bathroom. she barely managed to get into the family restroom. tears pouring down her face, she scrolled down her contacts.

“why isn’t anyone picking up?” she mumbled, looking for another number to call. she finally received the message that got everyone stirred up. a couple hours late cause of having airplane mode.

“esme!” familiar voices, among the unfamiliar screams, caught her attention. she swung the door open after a second of scanning faces she saw her brother rushing down the now less crowded airport.

“i’m right here!” she wasted no time reaching him, “where is aime?”

“she’s in the shop area. we have to hurry.” they took off, this time king pulling her by her not injured wrist.

once they arrived at their destination they immediately split up and searched for their cousin.

“amour!” esme called, careful not to trip over called tables. “amour, can you hear me?!”

“grrrr…” a rotted corpse, one that resembled a zombie from the internet, replied to her call. it was headed right towards her, leaving no time to waste. the reason her legs failed her was behind the monster.. cherie, her younger sister was propped up against the wall with parts of her flesh bitten off.

🎮 JEAN suspected as much when she met you. she knew who you were and why you were in mondstadt… she just refused to believe or acknowledge it. jean wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt, not say anything until it was completely necessary and unfortunately it had gotten to that point. you, the oh so mysterious midnight knight, were out on a mission assigned by the acting grandmaster herself after something you said to kaeya while you both were drunk. He too was suspicious and your comment pushed him off the edge. he convinced jean that she should check through you things and that’s exactly what she did. that’s how she found herself on the floor of your shared bedroom with an opened box and surrounded with letters, rereading all your reports sent to the harbingers and tsartisa about mondstast.

🎮 NOELLE had no idea of your fatui origin before she found you talking to a harbinger the day venti lost his gnosis. she listened to the conversation intently and brought the matter straight to jean. she didn’t process her emotions or what had happened until the next day when there wasn’t a trace of evidence of you ever being in mondstadt or her life. Everyone tried to convince her she did the right thing but she couldn't help but wonder if she kept quiet would you have stayed?

🎮 DIONA saw you as an older sibling so when you disappeared leaving the knights a letter but not her she was angry. she wasn’t to give you a disgusting glass of wine but you were gone. you contributed to her wanting to make the most disgusting drink teyvat’s ever tasted but in reality she just missed y/n, her big sibling.

🎮 SIGNORA was nothing short of proud. Sure, the work was dangerous but what she had to say really didn't matter now. she would discreetly line your schedules up so you’d pass one another while you’re on missions even if that meant no sleep just to get there on time. when you confront her about it though she’d just deny it.

🎮 SCARAMOUCHE, to get this over with, heard you scream but didn’t care nor did he check if everything was alright. after an hour, when he came to check on you, you were still hugging your human sized stuffed animal mumbling things like ‘ i-i killed it. ‘ after a second of unimpressed staring he left you to your mumbling.

🎮 DILUC was about to retribution the dam room. luckily only your wooden duck fought on fire and killed the roach. you looked at the burnt ashes with a proud smile. “ take that you ugly roach! and no one liked you anyway, mr. duck!” mhm, you were most certainly an interesting one.

🎮 BEIDOU’S ship is probably all nice and clean with no bugs on it but that didn’t mean there weren’t any in a bottle. the first couple months you didn’t notice but one of the crew mates seemed to be fascinated with the bug species so when someone broke the jar and the crickets came crawling out you almost fell off the railing. you hid behind kazuha, the only one with anemo who can blow them away before going to your girlfriend who’d kill any extras.

🎮 “ DISAPPEAR! ” yeah this one was interesting. your emo yaksha nuked the flowerbed in which you were picking flowers. getting him to talk to you after that was the challenging part.

🎮 ALBEDO most certainly surprised with how boldly you behaved. after learning that you had a huge god complex that surprise turned to concern. the amount of time you’ve been sent to dragonspine by jean grew by the week because you were in too much trouble in mondstadt. barbara even suggested they give you a guard but even that wasn’t enough. it wasn’t entirely the people’s fault; someone who felt they were sent by the gods to judge them and even get the knight's favour? almost everyone wanted you out.

🎮 FISHCL’S eccentric personality and you inferiority complex surprising went together better than expected. considering you both came from rough childhoods; fishcl, oz, and you would go out stargazing and talking. fishcl broke out of character and you acted as normal as you could, you could call it group therapy. moments like these were ones you all cherished and moments that made unbearable days a bit more bearable.

🎮 KAZUHA had met many people on his travels but none quite like you, someone with as guilt complex. whether that is good or bad, i'll leave that for you to decide. someone who saw that even a tiny injury from a harmless pillow fight was their fault? okay so maybe it isn’t good no matter how you put it. anyways this baby would try to keep you distracted in your shared room or whatever you call it on beidou’s ship. not in a dangerous yandere way but there was always someone getting hurt and the guilt on your face was just too depressing— even beidou supported his idea.
