I really do not understand why surrogacy is legal and normalized, it shouldn’t be. Surrogacy is literally renting out a woman’s womb. This is just another way society tells us they see women’s bodies as commodities. Women create life which is a beautiful thing and yet people figure out a way to profit off of that and exploit it. Pregnancy and giving birth takes a toll on the body and at the end of that the woman doesn’t even get to keep her baby. Don’t even get me started on the amount of women who change their minds because they’ve developed a connection to their baby. Can you imagine how traumatizing that must be? Having your baby taken away from you because someone purchased it and you can’t change your mind. Surrogacy needs to end now.
