Day one of Smaugust! Always found it fitting that my hatching day was this month. Been wanting to do this challenge for a while too. Wish me luck!

Day one, prompt was “Red”. And I actually ended up drawing a random attendee at Anthro Weekend Utah!

A 30 minute study I did a while ago. I want to get better at abstract realism, and while this isn't bad, it's a little too blurry I think. I have no idea how people manage to make backgrounds that appear so detailed when, in reality, there's next to nothing there.

Probably not gonna make posting daily a thing, but I did want to share this one. A more rendered picture of me, although I gotta say something about that previous sketch really hits different

Been WAAAAY too long since I posted anything. Finally getting back into the swing of things though, I think

So we'll kick it off with a sketch of myself I did the other day. Was out and about, near an apple store, so I decided to play around with one of the ipads. Managed to whip out this drawing in twenty or so minutes. Frankly it might be the best drawing I've done of myself.

I can't decide if I like it with color or without though. What do you think?

An instant.

Very, very loosely inspired by that one frame in arcane season 2, but mostly just playing around. Only spent about an hour on this one, and I definitely could have done better in so many ways, but still not bad.

I also accidentally drew it with the canvas upside down and didn't even realize until after I was ready to export it. But it works, so.

Loss

“I told you not to come back like this.” The pactkeeper whispers. “I told you to be careful.” The body had come to her war-mangled and bloody, like the rest. Now she rests peacefully on the table, as though only asleep. For the first time, she curses her black-and-white marked talons. What good, this miraculous power of restoration, if she could never see those eyes open again? Never again hear her voice? Feel her warmth? Laugh at her poor mimicry of the regent’s stern lectures? A single tear rolls down her face, joins the water flowing through the silent chamber. Then she stands, and fetches the others to help carry her love deeper into the dark.
