something i’m noticing pretty consistently about the episodes so far in season 6 are two things:

1. marinette is hyperfixating on certain aspects of the relationship. this is likely so she doesn’t need to think about the fact that she’s keeping secrets from adrien.

and more importantly, 2. maribug seems to be the one more making the mistakes, not the akumatized victims.

in illustrhater, we see her brushing off a kid and then ditching adrien, leading the kid to being akumatized and adrien’s abandonment issues coming into play.

in sublimation, maribug made the mistake of assuming that sublime hated her instead of just going to talk to her, resulting in her legs breaking and causing issues all around.

so far, it seems the season is very much leading towards the theory of making ladybug public enemy #1, which is ironic considering that doesn’t seem to be lila’s plan in the first place.

i’m very much hoping the season goes into maribugs trauma and explores it, and we see actual improvement and honesty.
