What I think about Selena Gomez’s last album.

Before I start sharing my opinion on Rare, I just wanted to say that this is my opinion as a LOCAL and not as someone who loves Selena. My reviews will be based on how I personally take the songs. Maybe it’s not what Selena meant with the lyrics but anyways. I’ve already heard the album, it’s not my first listening. I think there are a lot of things that need to be talked about. Be careful with the spoilers even though I don’t think I’ll spoil too much. Enjoy!

1. Rare

Rare is a cute song that talks about self-love and being confused about a love story and its consequences. I would definitely name it "Bad Liar’s little sister". It’s a great opening to the album. I personally do know that Selena is obsessed with the 80s and I get some Talking Heads vibes out of it. While concentrating on the song, I do think the lyrics are repetitive but if I don’t concentrate on it, I wouldn’t notice. This song did not suprised me, like I mentioned I think it’s a replica of Bad Liar. So there was nothing in the record that made me surprised. It’s definitely a 8/10.

2. Dance Again

Dance Again is about overcoming sadness and being happy again. It gives me some MAJOR Prince vibes. I like the disco and 80s vibes about it. Again, I think she could’ve got a lot deeper in the lyrics. When you know what Selena went through, I think she could’ve explored it more. I do think it should be the third single, I mean it’s definitely a song that makes you dance. I can see it being a radio hit. This song surprised a lot, I’ve never thought that Selena would and could explore the Disco genre. And I really love it. It’s a 9/10.

5. Ring

I’m so sorry for all the Ring stans out here. Bur what the fuck is this? I wanna say mean things about this record. I don’t think the album needed it even though I think it makes it more versatile. Again, I’m not a fan of the lyrics. But if there’s something about the song that caught my attention is Selena’s voice. She completely took a different tone and challenged her sound. I don’t want Selena to EVER make a song like this one. I really hate it. I don’t know about y’all, but I would rate it a 3/10.

6. Vulnerable

THIS IS WHAT I WANT! This is exactly what I want and need from Selena. First of all, thank you Jesus for these amazing lyrics. I needed it after listening to Dance Again and Ring. I love her soft voice, it makes the record so much better. I think the song is an amazing representation of wanting something that makes you bad. It’s literally my favorite track on the album, it tells a story and a story that I fully understand. BUT, I wish that she could’ve added a verse that makes the song more relatable for the outro. 10/10!

7. People You Know

Again, this is exactly what I want from Selena. I love the lyrics of the first parts. I don’t like how the song ended though. AGAIN, she could’ve ended the song with a different verse than the chorus that we just didn’t need. Thank God, the production saved that small detail that lowkey got on my nerves. I can also imagine it as a third single, I think the music video could be interesting. I just don’t want her to make the song something that we all know isn’t about, for example what she did with Fetish or Same Old Love. Again, it’s a perfect description of regretting a love that became toxic. I don’t know if the song talks about relationships or friendships. But I personally think it’s about a relationship, I take it that way. I love the record, 8.5/10!

8. Let Me Get Me

It’s gonna be a similar description to the ones I wrote for Vulnerable and People You Know. I don’t like how she finished the song, the production is perfect though. It’s a song that surprised me. And I love the pop-Middle Eastern vibes to it, the chorus is so CATCHY. It makes me want to get up and dance. I still think she stayed in her basic sound when it comes to the vocals. I can definitely feel what she is feeling while listening to the song, it radiates freedom and relief. I love it. 9/10!

10. Crowded Room (ft. 6LACK)

I love R&Bish Selena. I think her voice sounds so good, I love seeing my two words on a song together. 6LACK’s verse in the song was NEEDED. I can’t imagine the song without his part, and I love how Selena uses her head voice. I love the chorus because it reminds me of Me & U by Cassie, a fucking classic. I mean I’m so hypnotized by Selena and 6LACK’s voices that I don’t pay attention to the lyrics. For the hundredth time, I really want Selena to add high notes or something that makes me jump from my chair or whatever the fuck I’m sitting on. It’s a 9.5/10.

11. Kinda Crazy

It’s... cute? I mean I love the production, I think the producers did an amazing job with the song. It’s a not a reliable song to me, I mean I don’t have a lot of things to say about that song. I’ve heard it in 2016, and I’m hearing it again. What I think is interesting though is that it sounds like she’s talking about Charlie Puth’s weird obsession with her? Or maybe I’m being delusional lol? But yeah, please Selena get deeper into your lyrics, like come on... It’s a 6/10.

12. Fun

0/10. Please Selena, once but not twice.

13. Cut You Off

Not a fan of this song. I don’t think it’s a skip though, it’s interesting to listen to because the lyrics are reliable. But a-fucking-gain, the lyrics are not enough for me. I wanted something deeper, you’re talking about a love that drained you during 4 years. I don’t think it was needed on the album. But hey, it’s cute. It’s a 5/10.

14. A Sweeter Place (ft. Kid Cudi)

This song is definitely one of my favorite ones on the album. The first time I heard it, I cried. I think the production makes it cool and soft but it’s actually sad. It talks about Selena’s experience with almost dying and what it felt like to be almost dead. And I think she decribes it in a good way, because it really feels like that. I love Kid Cudi’s verse, if you’re not into his vibe then you won’t like it I guess. Again, I love seeing my two worlds collaborating. Perhaps it could be a good single, I definitely can see some awesome visuals for the music video. I love the fact that this song is the last song on the album, in a way, we’re saying goodbye to Rare after our first listening. But to me, the song sounded like a goodbye but like FOREVER. And I just love it. 10/10!

My overall opinion:

Rare is an amazing album that sounds so fresh. I think the Pop industry needed this album, it gives me hope for what this generation is about to listen. Rare is a perfect description of a versatile and cohesive album. The collaborations were interesting, the only skip of this album is Fun which I really hate. The way I’d rate this album is kinda harsh but Selena didn’t release an album since 2015, there are some songs that she could’ve scrapped instead of scrapping her best songs. I definitely think Stained and Feel Me (I mean with different lyrics for Feel Me lmao) had a place in this album, if we wouldn’t have heard them. I think this album is a grower and I can’t stop listening to it. I haven’t heard such a good Pop album since 1989 by Taylor Swift. I think the wait for Rare was definitely needed and it was worth waiting. If Rare isn’t nominated at the GRAMMYs, I will be mad. It’s a masterpiece. It’s just the songwriting that ruined everything on a couple of songs. I do not understand why Lose You To Love Me and Look At Her Now are on the album, they sound so different from the tracks. But honestly, good work from Selena. I’m madly impressed. I rated it a 6.5/10 on my Twitter account, but I guess it’s a 7/10 now. Bravo Selena!

What happened between Madison Beer and Chantel’s squad?

In April 2019, Madison Beer unfollowed Cindy Kimberly after Cindy was twerking in front of her ex-boyfriend Zack Bia. But what did really happen? Why did Madison also unfollowed Chantel Jeffries?

Before we start, let me introduce you a few people I’m gonna name:

Madison and Chantel were friends during years. They were always together, always taking pictures of each other. When it comes to the other side, Cindy Kimberly and Alissa Violet already knew each other because Alissa was dating Jake Paul and Cindy was dating Neels Visser and they were all part of the group, Team 10 (except Cindy lol). Alissa started getting friends with Ricegum who she met at a few parties, Ricegum was already friends with Chantel so he introduced Chantel and Alissa to each other.

Chantel and Alissa’s friendship took another level, they started living with each other after Jake Paul kicked out Alissa from the Team 10 house. But why did Madison and Alissa never seemed close? Well, Alissa had a problem with Madison and started attacking her on certain things. Alissa and Madison were NEVER friends.

Since Alissa moved in with Chantel, Chantel and Cindy became friends. But they were never close as much as they are now. So what happened for them to become besties?

The girls started creating a little squad of "Instagram models", Madison was really part of it. Cindy and Madison started getting close, they were really all getting along. Alissa Violet wasn’t part of it though, she preferred spending time with her ex-boyfriend, FaZe Banks. Bonds got created and they were inseparable.

Madison Beer then started her now ex-boyfriend Zack Bia, so Zack also started to get close to the girls. But not a long time, a video of Cindy Kimberly twerking in front of Zack Bia got posted, they were always hanging out which seemed a little bit weird for Madison.

But did it seem that serious if you watch that video? No. Zack isn’t even paying attention to Cindy. But that’s not the reason why Madison liked this shady post posted by checkthehighlight. Madison heard from her friends Isabella Jones and Charlotte D’Alessio who were also friends with Cindy that her and Zack were getting close.

But as far as I know, Cindy and Zack never hooked up or something like that. Because Zack started dating Sarah Snyder. But why did Chantel Jeffries and Alissa Violet get involved?

Well, if you didn’t know, these girls like sharing boyfriends. For example, Madison Beer had a secret thing with Presley Gerber, yet Charlotte D’Alessio also started dating him. And there are other things of that type that happened, except that it was dirtier and nastier (orgies). Chantel and Alissa didn’t like Madison’s hypocrisy and they let her know. It started making Madison extremely mad so she unfollowed Chantel.

But what I forgot to mention is, after all this time, Cindy became way closer to Madison Beer than the other girls. There was a sister bond between them. And if Cindy started getting closer to Zack, it’s because Madison got into contact with Jack Gilinsky (her ex-boyfriend but now they’re back together).

After that fight, Cindy Kimberly left Madison’s little group to go back with Chantel Jeffries and Alissa Violet because nobody wanted to talk to her anymore.

Here’s what I think about Camila’s situation:

As a Black person, I don’t think Camila is racist or anti black. I just think she was very uneducated and hella ignorant. Her Tumblr reblogs are disgusting and no one can deny that. I don’t know much about Camila, I just know she’s Cuban and was raised in Miami. I mean, why is anyone surprised? Do you know how many people think they can say the N-word because they’re Latino? While reading the thread, I looked more about Camila’s charity work. Does she help Black Africans? Did she tweet about BLM? And yes, she did all those things. I also looked up more about the Normani drama and I found some tweets from her fans saying they’re lying about the Facebook messages and that they photoshopped it. I tried to understand more about what happened between Normani and Camila, and in all her interviews, Normani talks in a good way about Camila and so does she. I didn’t know that while Normani and Camila were in Fifth Harmony, they already had their own fandoms and some Camila stans started being racist towards Normani. I also recently saw people saying "Camila never defended Normani" but she actually did and I found her tweets. I also looked deeper into "Camila’s racism" and I saw some old tweets of her on her stan account where she was saying the N-word. It was around the same period of her Tumblr reblogs 2011-2013. She got exposed A LONG ASS TIME ago and she tweeted her apologies. But what really bothered me in this story is the reactions. I mean, trying to force someone to make a VIDEO apologizing when she already wrote an essay. I don’t even think that some of the reactions were actually genuine, sincere or honest. Some people didn’t sound hurt or disgusted, it was more like "Let’s pretend we’re [blank] because we want our girl Normani to shine" and this leaves me speechless. I don’t think that attacking someone for being ignorant will make everything better. But I also saw some good reactions, black people tried to look more into this situation and actually shared how shocked and sad they were after seeing what she reblogged in the most respectful way. Now let’s talk about Camila stans’ reactions which were absolutely DISGUSTING and DISTURBING. First of all, how can some white people come into this drama and being like "We forgive you" or "We don’t forgive you". First of all, all these things weren’t directed to YOU. They were directed to BLACK PEOPLE. Some people don’t have their words to say in this story. {A}

The Ace Family - What Happened?

INTRO

Welcome back on my Tumblr, if you’re reading this, it’s probably because you wanna know the truth about The Ace Family.

The Ace Family stands for Austin McBroom, Catherine Paiz and their daughters, Elle and Alaïa. They began on YouTube in 2016, after the birth of their first daughter. Everything was perfect, they were making funny videos, they were showing their love for each other, they were humble and real, without forgetting that their daughter was beautiful.

Everyone immediately fell in love with them, they hit 1 million subscribers very quickly and their videos on Instagram were really helping them, it was just a beautiful family wanting to share their life.

But all this joy and perfection disappeared also very quickly, people started realizing how fake they are and how they were lying about who they really were. Austin and Catherine are SCAMMERS and LIARS who stole their fans’ money but I’ll get deeper into that later.

WHO ARE THEY?

Now, let’s all prepare tea. Since they first started, there were a lot of rumors on Catherine Paiz, from stripper to escort, but all these rumors were denied.

Well first let me tell you the truth about Catherine and her mother’s relationship, Catherine got kicked out of her house at a young age after dropping school. Catherine stopped her studies to go through a gap year, which didn’t make her mother happy at all. Catherine had to look out for a job, but in 2013/2014, she met the Taz’s Angelz and Chantel Jeffries in Miami and became friends with them. She didn’t join the Taz’s Angelz but found a job related to escorting during a very short time.

Austin McBroom, in contrary, went to college for basketball, but he didn’t stop to focus on his family and on his YouTube channel, he stopped because he got in trouble with two of his friends for trashing a hotel room and had to pay the whole hotel but his father refused to help him paying the hotel. But he still continued playing basketball until 2016.

Catherine and Austin did meet at a dinner party, but they knew each other because Chantel Jeffries was sleeping with Austin’s friend aka Christian (they played basketball together). Austin and his friends liked hooking up with sex workers. Catherine and Austin’s relationship wasn’t serious at first, it was more a fling than a serious relationship. It became serious not too long before she gets pregnant.

Now let’s talk about her ex-relationship with Michael B. Jordan in 2014. Catherine was Michael’s escort, yes, you read it right. They never dated, but they were friendly. I would even call them "friends with benefits". This is how her "Instagram model" career started. Many of her "relationships" were biased on that.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE ACE FAMILY?

Now let’s talk about what everyone wants to know. Why after all these scandals, they’ve never lost subscribers? Well, their followers are actually fake. Once you unsubscribe to their channel, it doesn’t count.

If you actually watched their YouTube videos in December 2018, they were inviting a few YouTubers to appear in their videos. The script was Austin going at someone’s house to steal them Christmas presents. Well, Austin actually made a call to some YouTubers and it was kinda like a contest: "who’ll get the chance to appear in our videos?". But the real truth is YouTubers had to pay to collab with them, and you’re probably thinking "It doesn’t make sense". Well SAME, that’s why some of these YouTubers stopped talking to Austin right after it because he asked for money to SOME of them.

What about their Charity Basketball Event? Well everyone got scammed, the money was never given to the charity they chose. Austin and Catherine took the money to build their new house. If you google "The Ace Family charity work" and you’ll find nothing but their stupid Basketball event.

Now let’s talk about their "documentary", Austin mentions that him and Catherine never been rich, well it’s false. Austin’s mother lived in Malibu and his dad lives in a rich neighborhood in Los Angeles, Austin grew up in a very good conditions and so did Catherine. Yes, Austin had money to pay hospital bills, yes Austin and Catherine had water in their first apartment. They live in LA.

DRUG ABUSE IN THE INDUSTRY.

Before I start, if you’re too overprotective to your idols, this Tumblr is definitely not for you. I’m also not trying to shame anyone, everyone can do whatever the hell they want and R.I.P to all the people who died from an overdose.

Doing drugs became so common, especially in the music industry, everyone at least tried even the innocent ones. For example, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Lindsey Lohan, Amy Winehouse, Halsey, Cory Monteith, Mac Miller and more...

Drugs can ruin your life, some people don’t become addicted but others do. Some people overdose and live, others unfortunately die. Cocaine has been in the "showbiz" since years, but who sells drugs to celebrities and where?

Drugs dealers usually sell drugs at Hollywood parties or at Coachella. Sometimes, celebrities’ friends pick up the weed, the cocaine or the pills for them. In extreme cases, they have a personal phone with their drug dealers’ phone number, like Demi Lovato. You can read more about it there.

I know you guys waited for this part, which celebrities do drugs without anyone knowing? I remind you that if you’re sensitive, it’s not for you. I know exactly what I’m talking about, and it’s not because they used to do drugs that they still do.

What is Anxiety?

Anxiety. You probably heard this word somewhere, noticed how this word is becoming more and more used everyday... But why? What is it? Where does that come from? Why do people have anxiety? There are so many questions about it.

Anxiety is a normal emotion, it can be healthy too. But now, it’s becoming a medical disorder. There are a lot of symptoms, most likely negative ones:

- always feeling worried.

- sleep difficulties.

- problems with thinking and concentration.

You might think that these symptoms are extremely normal, and to be honest, they are. But there are different anxiety types. I won’t get deeper into that, but you might have panic disorder. It is the most common anxiety disorder.

Why do we have anxiety?

I wanna get deeper into anxiety, but I feel like it’s such a huge debate. It can come from anything.

school

family

abuse

self-criticism

financial problems...

Do you have bad symptoms?

That would be extremely ignorant to classify good/normal/bad symptoms. I feel like we all deal with our own trauma and emotions.

Yes, I did call the first symptoms normal, because this is what everyone says. But sometimes, it can make a big change in your life. You go from feeling healthy and happy to feeling unhealthy and miserable.

Now, when I say bad symptoms, I’m talking about:

Panic attacks.

Skin disorders (psoriasis, urticaria, eczama, acne...)

Feeling extremely lonely.

Heart problems.

Memory loss.

I obviously can’t name all, but around me, that’s what people have. I have anxiety since I’m 14, and it all started with self-critism. It might be different for everyone, I didn’t know what anxiety is, I was 14, it was 9 years ago. Anxiety wasn’t really talked about, you knew about stress but not anxiety. I had the chance to have parents who immediately saw that someone was weird with me. I got diagnosed with it and it changed my life forever.

Can it get better?

In most case, anxiety never goes away, at least not completely. There’s not one day of the week where I don’t feel anxious. Sometimes, you don’t even notice that you have anxiety because it becomes a normal emotion to you. It’s like you have to deal with it.

In my opinion, it gets better, I can have days where I feel like my old self again. I can go out without feeling anxious to talk to my friends, I can go out without having my heart beating extremely fast. Years later, I started feeling more confident, more passionate about life, about God. I had Faith, I knew everything would be okay one day.

My advices

My advices will probably not help everyone, because you probably didn’t experience what I experienced. What really helped me is therapy, talking to a therapist about what I went through in my life. Talking to someone is helpful, but sometimes we might feel ashamed. A lot of people are still uneducated on mental illnesses, that’s why it’s better to talk to someone who doesn’t know you but knows about mental illnesses.

You have to be patient, when you start therapy, you think that one week later, everything will go away. But that’s not true, it can take months or years because as I mentioned, it can get better but it won’t go away.

I don’t recommend this to anyone unless they have the permission from a doctor, but sometimes meds help a lot. It helped me with my sleep, my concentration and my heart beats. It’s not for everyone though, sometimes you might gain or lose weight in an unhealthy way, it might make you feel weird... Ask to a doctor.

We already knew that technology is crazy and how people have a lot of creativity, but I found out that there are so many applications that helps with anxiety, mine is Sanvello. I stopped using it though.

You can also try to find out what you like. I started playing violin when I got diagnosed with anxiety and depression, I had something else to do than watching music videos on YouTube in my room, or sleeping... Music can change your mood too, make a playlist with funny songs, get inspired by things.

I also have 7 journals, they talk about everything that I went through, it’s also a better way of healing than taking meds. Do not lock yourself up, try to do new things, express yourself with art.

Shawn & Camila – PR?

Before we start, we just wanted to tell you that everything that is going to be said and mentioned are 100% true. If you have trust issues, try to find someone who KNOWS about the industry and ask them if it’s true.

We won’t make a timeline of Shawn and Camila’s relationship because it’s too long and you can find it on Google.

Here are some facts that you need to know:

Shawn and Camila first met in 2014 at Austin Mahone’s tour.

They started talking in 2015 when Shawn Mendes was an opening act for Taylor Swift’s tour and Camila Cabello (and her group Fifth Harmony) were special guests.

They wrote their hit song "I Know What You Did Last Summer" backstage for fun.

Since this day, Shawn and Camila are friends and many people started thinking they were dating.

Shawn and Camila HAVE always said they are friends and their relationship was purely platonic.

4 years later, Shawn and Camila release their second collaboration together, Señorita. It’s a sexy song with a steamy music video. This song was released when Camila Cabello was still dating Matthew Hussey but people wanted to see them dating.

Like we just mentioned, Camila Cabello was dating the famous British YouTuber, Matthew Hussey from February 2018 to June 2019 (right after Señorita).

On July 3rd, Shawn and Camila were pictured holding hands and these pictures broke the Internet.

There is also a picture of them "kissing" but there is a cactus hiding their mouths.

They spent the night together and went to a party on July 4th together, they looked very close.

Even though fans have been waiting for this moment to happen during years, people found it weird that Shawn and Camila start dating right after releasing a collab. Now, everyone thinks their relationship is PR (fake).

But here’s why their relationship is REAL.

Shawn and Camila’s friendship began in 2015, they weren’t as famous as they are now. If they needed promo, they should’ve started "dating" in 2015 to promote IKWYDLS.

A PR relationship (only for musicians) starts to promote a collaboration that flopped, meaning that it didn’t make it in the Top 10.

A PR relationship is based on the artists’ agreements, meaning that if Shawmila is promo, Camila and Shawn AGREED to fake this relationship and lie to their fans.

Señorita is #2, the music video has 228M views (after 3 weeks), people still talk about it. It doesn’t need promo AT ALL.

PR relationships most likely ruin a friendship.

PR relationships are not only created to promote a song, but also two careers.

Do Shawn and Camila really need to boost their career? No.

Here’s more common signs that Shawn and Camila are not PR:

Shawn refused to talk about his relationship with Camila at his tour.

They went out together at 5AM and asked fans to NOT take pictures of them.

PR relationships are protected by the media, meaning that they know it’s promo but they still protect it. Journalists don’t, Hollywood Life (unreliable sources by the way) stated they were PR, same with E! (Not evidence that they are PR, those are just theories).

If Shawn and Camila were PR, they would’ve posted selfies together, literally exposing their relationship.

A photo of them at the 4th of July party got posted, but the account is private.

I will expose PR relationships and talk more about it in another post. Just know that Shawn and Camila’s relationship is 100% REAL.
