The Top You Need this Summer!
You Need This!
This is what I have been hearing in my head since I saw this style of top lately. I don’t particularly think is my style but I am always more than happy to try new things; and honestly I can not wait to try these tops. They are so romantic and feminine with a subtle sexyness to them; or at least that’s how I see them.
I love the the squarish cut, actually I don’t think I own tops or dresses with this cut, I may be wrong but I really don’t think so and this might be one of the reasons why I want one so bad. I am in the mood for something different than my usual and these tops are it. I see myself wearing them all summer long but specially on a vacation. I have not gone shopping but I have been eyeing several different ones, and YES they are in my shopping cart! I am trying to decide which ones to buy, there are so many and I wanted to share with someone my favorite maybe you can help me decide.
I also wanted to share some bloggers who have been wearing these and look amazing.
I love the buttons and sleeves of Marianna’s top, every detail in this top is so good. I like Danielle’s dress because of the polka-dots and neckline, so feminine!
I love Racquel’s style and this top is everything I want in a top right now.
Which top was your favorite?
let me know in the comments.
XOXO,
Yerenid

What to wear under: An open back top/dress
Hello Hello,
Welcome to this new series!
During spring and summer one of the most recurring questions I get asked is: “what do I wear under this?” This specially happens with open back pieces, plunging neckline pieces or see through ones.
As you may know during the weekends I work in retail, as a women’s clothing sales associate. To be honest I had no clue so many women didn’t know what to wear under such pieces, which is why I decided to start this series.
Open back dresses and tops are my FAVORITE! I honestly don’t know why but I love them, so I had to learn what to wear under as soon as I bought my first one. I had a little trouble because I was not used to not wearing a traditional bra but I easily adjusted to the options available because they worked and are super comfortable. I recommend buying a good quality sticky bra and taking good care of it; like cleaning it correctly and storing it correctly. In my experience it has made a huge difference in the way they make you feel and look, as well as their durability and number of times you can wear them.
If you are not sure about how you will feel or if you will like it and don’t want to spend full price you can find more accesible options on eBay and Amazon, but I will say the quality is different. I have found that its a hit or miss and they are often a lot thinner but they do work and will last a few times if they are taken care of properly.
Silicone Backless Bras
I have two favorite sticky bras, one is a silicone sticky bra which I purchased at Victoria Secret. Unfortunately I couldn’t find it on the website but as soon as I do will revise this post and link it. It was a transparent silicone sticky bra pretty thick silicone which in my case was a huge plus since I am pretty small in this area. I believe it was one of the most durable ones I have owned, the sticky part was long lasting and not painful at all when taking it off. I have experienced some that can be too sticky and hurts a bit when peeling it off.
The first option below is my favorite king of backless bra to wear, the following two options are options I found I would love to try and seem to have decent reviews for my chest size. I shared a link to nipple covers because I think these are a good option to have as an emergency in case my backless bra is not feeling sticky or comfortable anymore.
Fabric Stick On Bras
The other one that I absolutely loved and was the longest lasting was a fabric one. This one wasn’t as thick but it was definitely secure and did not move or show at all. I prefer the ones that are cups that can be put on individually and be attached at the middle; for both silicone and fabric sticky bras.
In my opinion the sticky bras that look like a butterfly and are laced in the middle are better for a bigger bust, like the last one I linked above. I bought both silicone and fabric I really wanted to like them but I personally didn’t like them because my size, A cup, was big on me and would show on most on my tops and dresses. But I do feel they would add a nice list for a bigger bust size.
I am recommending these options based on my body type and chest size, I am pretty small and often insecure about looking flat chested when I wear open back pieces and these options have allowed me to wear open back items securely and confidently. I feel like I can continue talking about this on and on but I think I shared with you the most important info. If you have any questions let me know in the comments below or send me a message you prefer that.
XOXO,
Yerenid

Travel Diary: Road Trip Along the California Coast
A weekend off, what to do? Without a doubt, a road trip was the only thing on my mind. A few weeks ago, during Easter weekend I went to Caramel by the Sea with my boyfriend and had the best time! I honestly had forgotten what having a weekend off felt like. I am so grateful for that weekend for many reasons.
Sometimes we get lost in our job, we get caught up with all the things on our to do list, that we stop giving priority to the most important things, with out even realizing it. This weekend helped me realize many things but specially that I have gotten so busy that I didn’t remember how important it was for me to get a weekend off every once in a while, but from now on I will be requesting a weekend off more often.
In this trip I reconnected with my self, my wants, needs and desires. I enjoyed every single minute of my road trip and I enjoyed every second spent with my boyfriend. This trip was simply refreshing and eye opening. My heart is full and smiling just thinking back to it.
Now let’s talk about my trip. First of all it was very short but that did not stop us or take anything away from it. We started at 7 am on Saturday morning with breakfast at our favorite place in Huntington Beach- Woodies. From their we started our journey driving along pacific coast highway all through Long Beach, we decided to take the freeway to get to Caramel by The Sea sooner, otherwise we would probably take many more hours.
As soon as we arrived to Caramel, we immediately went to the beach. It was pretty chilly that weekend, we were not very prepared for that but it did not stop us. Since we had not booked a hotel we did that next and checked into Best Western. We dropped off our things in the room and immediately started looking for a place to eat, and found CULTURA.
Cultura was super close to our hotel, it was an easy walk that we needed after being in the car for hours. We had a few drinks and lunch. We ordered a tlayuda which is a traditional Oaxacan dish made with a very large tortilla, beans, cheese, tomatoes and avocado. We forgot to ask for meat, but its delicious either way. Okay to be honest I didn’t try it because It has cheese but I always loved those before when I could have cheese. I had the torta it was pretty good but tortas are always good.
Ah and before I forget I tried Chapulines (toasted grasshoppers) for the first time. They were okay but I don’t think I will be ordering them again.
I liked Cultura but I did feel like it had a limited selection, we would have honestly liked to have a slightly bigger menu to order from, nonetheless it was good.
After Cultura we walked a bit and went back to the hotel, we were thinking of jumping in the pool but it was to cold so instead we jumped in the bath tub and relaxed for a little while.
At night time we walked without a destination in mind we were simply looking for some night life and found this pretty cool roof top lounge with the best drinks. Vesuvio. We hang out there because we liked the drinks and the vibe, it felt fresh and relaxed. After 2 drinks we continued walking, following the music and we came across Barmel. It seemed like that was the only place in the area open until 2 am, we danced the night away there.
We started Sunday Morning at Little Swiss Cafe. We have mixed feelings about this place because as we were eating we enjoyed the food, we loved the french toast and pancakes but once we left the food didn’t seem to sit well in my stomach. I wasn’t feeling very well, I am not sure if my french toast had any dairy but that was my fault for not asking.
We continued our journey by stopping at Pebble Beach and then doing the 17 mile drive. We started it the opposite way from most people, I think we enjoyed it more that way. I definitely recommend doing the 17 mile drive.
Our plan was to eat in Carmel before leaving but our stomachs were not feeling great yet so we started heading home. This time we drove all along the pacific coast and it was beautiful. I want to do it again. We stopped a lot to take pictures and enjoy the scenery.
One of our stops was at Big Sur River Restaurant, to eat something. I really liked my burger. The chicken had a shirwama taste and the burger had bacon and raisins, I had never had a burger with raisins but I Liked it it was different and interesting. I think both of our burgers were specially made for Easter Sunday. My boyfriend liked his but he liked mine more.
After this huge meal we continued our drive and enjoyed every bit of daylight. Our last stop was just after Big Sur to take some pictures. We will be back to Caramel and I would love to make this drive again just with a bit more time next time. Until next time.
XOXO,
Yerenid
P.S. Our next trip is in July.

Happy Monday!
Lets make this week a great one, I hope you start this week in the best way possible. Today I decided to share quotes about peace because it’s easy to lose peace in the midst of this fast paced life.
The more peace we have with in the better we are able to live life, make decisions and enjoy every moment we experience.

90 Day Challenge Again
Hey there,
I am doing my 90 day challenge once again. If you don’t know what my 90 day challenge is let me tell you about it. In this 90 day challenge I strive to wear a different outfit every single day of the 90 days. My goal is to not repeat any item because I tend to wear a lot of basics and I also tend to repeat the same clothes over and over again. I get attached to the clothes that I love and I forget about other items that are in my closet. My goal is to wear as much of what I have in my closet as possible because. For this occasion jackets might be repeated because I am always so cold and even though I will try my best not to repeat them I know that will be impossible specially when I go to work. But other than than my daily outfits shall all be different.
I am doing this challenge because it encourages me to have a little more fun with my outfits as well as be more creative as opposed to always wearing basics. Wish me luck this is hard for me because I love to wear a number of jeans on a regular basis.
Yesterday was my first day and this is what I wore. A lot of what I will share are items that have been in my closet and are not necessarily available for sale but I will do my best to share similar items I find online with which you could recreate the look if you like.
Let’s talk about my outfit a little… I loved it. Its such a good feeling when you wear something you feel super comfortable with and it is not sweat pants lol. Yesterday I was really loving this outfit, it had been a while since I last wore these corduroy pants. I had forgot how much I liked them. These are pretty old but I found some that look exactly the same I will link them below. I paired it with another really old piece in my closet. I have tried getting rid of this top a couple of times but somehow it always makes it back into my closet. I think it’s a timeless piece that is perfect for winter season.
I am going to tell you a little secret, since I am always cold I often have to bundle up with big bulky items or layer up. Over the years I have mastered the art of layering and since I knew I was going to be outdoors yesterday I decided to layer up. Yup! I know you can’t tell, right? I am wearing a long sleeve under my top. In order for layering to not make me feel or look bulky or thinker I always look for thing long sleeves and they always help. I tend to wear lots of tops that are made with modal under. These types of tops are pretty seamless, they are stretchy and most of the time they don’t rise up or move around; there is always the exception and when this happens I try to tuck them into my panties if possible. I love layering with these tops under because they allow me to wear something I love and feel confident with, without ruining or changing my outfit.
Last things I want to talk about are my purse and shoes. I love this purse, crossbody are my go to at the moment and this one is the perfect size. It’s actually very spacious. It is from the SEE by Chloe Collection.
The Shoes
These boots are my favorite shoes to wear at the moment. I am so in love with them! The are super comfortable and I just love the style. I will be linking them below. Sorry for the quality of the pictures this time.
XOXO,
Yerenid
P.S. This post was not sponsored by asos I just happened to find so many items I liked from there.

10 Things You Didn't Know About Me
Get to know me a little more…
Hey there, I don't think I have ever done a post were I talk about myself directly. Too be honest I feel a little weird because I prefer to talk about fashion, motivation or travel here on the blog, but today I thought I’d share a little about me. So here are 10 things I don’t think you know about me.
I am a very emotional person.
I can’t help it, I’ve tried controlling it but I have learned to accept it.
I love listening to Shakira, specially her first albums.
It doesn’t matter how I am feeling her music always makes me feel happy.
I was probably one of the worst dressed in high school.
I started changing my style more once I was graduating from high school when I started working in the fashion industry.
I have a huge sweet tooth
I love all kinds of sweets but ice cream, chocolate, paistries and tamarind are my favorite.
I can’t have anything with milk or dairy
This is one of the hardest things for me since I found out because of my sweet tooth
I have two brothers, no sisters.
I am the middle child.
I love fruit
All kinds, mangos, berries and peaches are at the top of my list.
I love rollercoasters.
The adrenaline and being able to scream my lungs out are the best.
I love to travel.
Who doesn’t right? I love to experience different cultures, ways of life and taste different food.
I loved to dance since I was very small.
When I was very small maybe 4 years old I loved dancing with my older brother. I danced until maybe eight or nine years old and I completely stopped until I was 21. I started dancing again, I am not very good but I love it.
I might do more of these in the future. Tell me something about you in the comments. Let’s get to know each other.
XOXO,
Yerenid
p.s. in case you didn’t notice in the pictures I love to wear short clothes

Monday Motivation Series
Hey there, I hope you are having a great start to your week. Today I thought I could share quotes that are about kindness. It appears to me that we sometimes forget how far a little bit of kindness can go. I understand we are all human and we have our moments but even just a smile can brighten up someone’s day; it doesn't cost us a thing but the value it can bring is immense.

Quick OOTD
Hey there, sharing a quick outfit from last week.
This has been one of my favorite sweaters this winter. It’s a bit thin but it’s oversized so it’s perfect if I need to add a layer under.
The fit of this jeans is so good. These are high waisted and a thicker kind of denim than what I have been wearing lately, which actually feels great because it feels like holds everything in the right place.
This bag immediately grabbed my attention because of its shape. Sometimes you just have to go for what is different than the usual. Don’t you think?
I don’t know if you will be able to find these boots anywhere because I have had them for two or three years and they are still one of my favorites.
I got these earring at an outdoor flea market, I loved the shape texture and size.
Outfit Details
Sweater: Kerisma
Jeans: J Brand
Boots: Coach
Purse: Melie Bianco
Hope you have a great week.
Talk to you soon!

Motivation Monday Series
Self Awareness
It is Monday, which means its my day to share some quotes I have found along the way. Today the topic is self awareness for several reasons. I feel like so many of us lack self awareness and we can all use a little help in this field. But in reality, I am sharing this because I have been trying to grow and better myself in every way I can; and in my process I recently realized that sometimes I lack this virtue.
I think self awareness is important because you keep yourself on check, also I think it tends to make you a more conscious human being. But another thing - very important by the way, once you are self aware and honest with yourself no one can hold anything on you. The thoughts, words or criticism any body has about you, no longer bother you. As long as you hold your self accountable for your actions no one’s thoughts or words will shake you, make you loose balance or control. No one will hurt you, take advantage of you or have any power over you. At the same time I believe this makes you more empathetic to other people. In my opinion, it’s a win win and something we should all learn and practice. These quotes are just a little reminder for when we loose track, or at least thats what they are for me.
XOXO,
Yerenid

Earrings Earrings Earrings
Hey there,
So lately I have had a really hard time coming back to the blog but today I decided to take advantage of a few minutes I had and tell you about my current infatuation with earrings.
I have no idea where it came from but now that I am thinking about it, I guess its crazy for me to see how over time earrings just drew me in more and more. Today I guess i am just a little more obsessed with them, a lot more than I ever thought I would be.
I really want to add more piercings and maybe this month I get the chance to actually do it. I currently have two piercings on my ears and just up to recent years I never liked changing my earrings. I simply preferred to wear tiny ones that I thought would go with everything and I would never have to take off but right now I am so into doing something like the picture below.
But I am also so into wearing big and small earrings and changing them all the time. I guess we can say that I learn to have more fun with these accessories.
I have been saving a bunch on Pinterest as well as just going online to order some. I really thought I should share some since I am really into them but I didn’t realize how into them I was until I started wanting to shop online for them. I am in LOVE! I went crazy and saved sooo many of them, I am having a really hard time choosing but her are s lot of them.
Statement Earrings
I don’t wear statement earrings very often but I am so attracted to them. Sometimes I hold back on wearing them because they are too heavy and I have long days or they will stand out too much (which is the whole point right) but they just are not right for the particular activity I am doing even though they go with my outfit. Okay okay these are all excuses, it’s time to start earring them period.
I have to admit some of the ones I am showing to you are to pricy for me but they are so so pretty, I had to show you.
Hoop Earrings
HOOP EARRINGS- They are currently my favorite to wear. Why? I have no idea, they just are. I am sure you have noticed, I think I lately I either wear hoop earrings or I don’t wear any. I tend to wear the classic hoop in different sizes but I have been wanting to incorporate different shapes. I love the the star ones above as well as the pearl ones, and I want to try some heart ones.
Me wanting to wear hoop earrings and try different shapes is definitely something completely out of the ordinary. I guess I decided to embrace change and creativity, and hoop earrings are one way of me doing that.
Dangle & Drop Earrings
Dangle, thread, drop earrings or however you call these are something new to me; well maybe not the drop ones but the thread ones - I am just fascinated with them. The drop earrings I am sharing with you above are some really like, I think I would wear three of them on a regular basis. The other one (Keegan Drop Earrings) of them I like for special occasions or when I am wearing something white. But let’s talk about the Thread Earrings; I want them all and I can’t decide which one is my favorite. One thing about the threaders I shared above is that the Minimalist Stone Drop Threaders are offered in different type of stones that help cleanse your energy and purify it like the amethyst one; I am eyeing that one. the other ones are super cool in my opinion because I feel like they are different and well I have never worn of these.
CUff earrings
Ear cuffs- I had no clue they existed until I came across first picture I showed you above. After that I feel like I have been living under a rock, but I like the way they look and what I like more about them is that you do not have to get a piercing!!! I am a cry baby when it comes to needles and if I can avoid them I will so these cuff earrings are going to make it in my list with out a doubt.
Small Earrings
Small earrings have always been my go to. I used to only wear a white rhinestone but I want to change it up and I love finding different shapes now.
I tried sharing earrings from different price points and different stores but ultimately only earrings I absolutely loved. We each have our go to stores and I know lots of the earrings I shared are from big stores but I always try to make sure to support small businesses because I come from a long line of family owned small businesses and I know how hard it can be. This time I made sure I shared some from etsy. I guess I am sharing this because I want to shine some light on small businesses and bring awareness to you if you can shop and support small and local businesses do it! These people work so hard to make it and support themselves and their families, and doesn’t hurt to try to support them once in a while the way we support big brands with prestige and a large following.
XOXO,
Yerenid

Motivation Monday series
It has been such a long time since my last Motivation Monday. Today I woke up and I knew it was going to be the day I get back into this. It’s a good day! Busy and maybe a bit overwhelming but overall good! I hope you are having a good day and you have an amazing week. I will be back to sharing seven quotes next week. Today all I want to share is this….
I wanted my first Motivation Monday to be strong, it may be simple but STRONG. Sometimes, specially in tough times it takes a lot of strength to be positive. But when you maintain this positivity, it’s not only positivity; you have faith. Being positive often gives you courage, it pushes you to go towards your goals it gives you a little confidence or and if you don’t feel confident but you are positive it takes a bit of the fear away and it just makes you a little more brave. It may even make you more cheerful and overall happy, motivated and open minded. So my message today is BE POSITIVE!
XOXO,
Yerenid

Polka Dots & J Brand Jeans
Today I am sharing yesterday’s outfit because you can never go wrong with classic high rise medium blue skinny jeans and black. I love love this top, I am still very much into polka dots. These velvety dots on this sheer top bring texture and a subtle fun to the outfit and the sheerness brings just the right amount of sexiness to the outfit.
The best outfits are the ones you want to wear over and over again, not only because of how they look on you but because of the way they make you feel. This top is from Forever 21 I wasn’t able to find it on their website but I will link similar options I love below.
