And is such an interesting topic, the fact that Rafayel is only truly loved wholly, and allows himself to be by MC, even though we've encountered lemurians and they always seem fond of him. Rafayel may be loved, but he can't be understood by the people he's supposed to watch over, his people, they can't see his weaknesses or his struggles or his mortality. Hence why it took a human, MC, for him to be seen from a completely different perspective, he was always lemurian Rafayel before he was any kind of god or protector, he is just a man in love when he's with her.

Understanding is also such a big deal when it comes to him, phrases like "she thinks she understands me" are a constant with him, is clearly a tricky subject for Raf and an important one. How could a god be understood? how can she understand him when he's hiding all the time? when he's so afraid of being left again for simply being himself? the easiest way would be for her to just remember magically, but she can't. He loves her but can she love him? truly? again? without any memory of their past?

Rafayel and MC Headcanon

(I've only been playing LADs for a few days and I'm having a blast. Quickly came to find out that Rafayel is one of my favorites, as well as Sylus. Here's a cute headcanon that's been bouncing around in my head :P)

You and Rafael can go #bratforbrat, but sometimes you’re the first one to give in.

It’s fun and cute, honestly. Rafael gives you that little pout-and-red-cheeks combo, and you’ll melt into a puddle. He’s been a victim of your cuteness aggression, where you squeal and pat his hair or rub his cheeks like he’s a cat. He pretends to hate it but he absolutely loves the attention. 

(When you stop after he complains, he glares at you. “Hey! I said you’re annoying! I didn’t say to stop!”)

You guys love trash talking each other. Remember when you showed him a keychain and he said ‘It’s round, like you’? He’d make comments like that time to time, not serious comments—just being playful. More often than not, you’d burst into laughter, making his heart flutter (but he’d pretend to be irritated with you and roll his eyes), and you’d either give as good as you get or just say “Boy fuck you *eye roll*”.

But if you’re ever having an off day and you feel more insecure than normal, he’ll catch on and those comments will be null. If he accidentally says something that hurts your feelings, his eyes will widen and there will be that cute pout on his mouth and he’ll say “…You know I wasn’t serious right? Don’t be sad! I’m sorry :(” and then he’ll be the one doting on you and kissing your cheek and petting you.

Y’all are so obviously #bestiesinlove that it makes the people around you either smile in amusement or sick to their stomach.
