I wanted to use Sonamy Week as a chance to work on a comic about their "first kiss" in my AU. With a bit more context from the things I had pre-established, Amy's honest and passionate confession made Sonic act on impulse in the heat of the moment. Not only because he wanted to reassure her, but also as a possible "last thing I’ll do… in case I don’t make it back." But don’t worry! In context, Sonic and Amy spent a lot of time traveling together (just the two of them) around the world. Their relationship has progressed to a "situationship" and Sonic doesn't know how to handle his heart and the fear of hurting Amy. SonAmy Week 2025 - Day 3: Rain!

I was inspired by the song "Quando a chuva Passar" by Brazilian singer Ivete Sangalo. Instead of creating a moment with an umbrella, I had them dancing in the rain!

I wanted to write a one-shot for this, but since I ran out of time, maybe I'll do it another time. But Amy was feeling down. She and Sonic watched a romantic scene in the rain, and Sonic quickly connected the dots: Maybe this could cheer her up! And he wasn't wrong. I ended up rereading the Archie Issue #290 and i think is SO adorable that Sonic reaffirms they were ''destined to meet'' even if they didn’t realize it at the time.

to me, the way they first met is incredibly special! not just for Amy, who decided to follow Sonic everywhere and grow stronger so she could keep up with him on every adventure, but also for Sonic, who found his first friend. Someone who would be there for him through everything in life. I wanted to portray their excited side when it comes to adventures! Both of them enjoy danger, the feeling of freedom, and the fun of smashing badniks. They even get so lost in it that they don’t realize how connected they become! (Their synergy is so strong they even end up striking similar poses and expressions haha)

I'm back + Updates!

Hi guys! It’s been a while since I showed up around here and I’m really sorry about that, but I’ll say this up front: I’m planning to come back!

Over the past few months, I’ve been way more active on my Twitter. Some people who already followed me here were also there, so I ended up focusing too much on just one platform. (I have social anxiety, which makes it hard for me to stay active in multiple places or keep in touch. Plus, I’m usually only online during the night in my country.)

But I’ve decided to try organizing myself better so I can return here, because Tumblr has always been a space where I feel more comfortable expressing my thoughts, sharing my stories, and enjoying content from people I admire too!

“Does that mean you’ll be active here again?”

Well, yes and no. I do plan to return, but not with the same frequency as before. Twitter is still going to be my main space for activity, but Tumblr will have some longer posts, thoughts, and of course, my art!

“Aside from Twitter, are you using any other social media?”

Yes! I’ll also be using my BlueSky account as a portfolio space. Notifications will be off, so if you want to contact me, please do so in my Twitter (recommended) or Tumblr.

“But why come back just now?”

Aside from the social anxiety and my difficulty staying active on more than two platforms at once... This week is Sonamy Week. I’ve prepared a few things for it, so I wanted to come back and share something with y'all as well! That’s why I’ll take some time to catch up on everything I’ve missed. I’ll be focusing on completing Sonamy Week and slowly getting back up to date with everything I’ve left behind here. Please be patient if I haven’t replied to you yet :,)

Skyler The Hedgehog - The Stormy Sky!

I'm finally bringing Sky's redesign! The eldest daughter of Sonic and Amy in my AU ( TheSonicFutureAU ) and one of the protagonists of the upcoming story I plan to tell. So without further delay...

Here are some things about her in my AU:

Sonic never really liked the idea of becoming a father someday. He felt it was a huge step to take - just like the idea of getting married. Although Amy had always dreamed of becoming a mother, she understood his thoughts and never forced or pressured him about it.

But that changed the moment Sonic was put in charge of babysitting Jade Jasper while Rouge and Knuckles returned to their usual routines. Sonic started to enjoy the idea of caring for someone, running, playing, and exploring the world with a mini version of himself. That’s when he decided to be brave and talk to Amy about having a child.

Amy had her own doubts, uncertain if she’d be a good mother and wondering if Sonic might regret the decision. But he always reassured her, telling her that the one thing he wanted most when the baby was born was to travel and explore the entire world with their child, showing all the good the world had to offer.

When they revealed the news to their friends that Amy was expecting a baby, Knuckles, Tails, and Cream were the most excited - finally, they were going to be uncles and an aunt.

During the pregnancy, Amy constantly felt strong jolts and chills through her fur, caused by the power naturally inherited by Skyler: Energy Manipulation.

Even while pregnant, Amy didn’t stop working at Dulce Amy’s. Sonic ended up helping her at the restaurant for a while, worried she might overwork herself.

Sonic and Amy didn’t know the baby’s gender. Skyler’s powers interfered with the medical scans, making it a surprise until the day of birth.

Skyler was born after a massive storm.

Her name was chosen by Sonic, inspired by the color of her fur and the bright blue sky that appeared after the rain.

Skyler was a baby who cried a lot. Because of her abilities, the lights would flicker and sometimes even burn out during her fits.

The only thing that calmed her was when Sonic held her in his arms and sing to her. She would always fall asleep to the song Can You Feel the Sunshine? (Yes, from Sonic R! > That cover < is exactly how I imagine Sonic’s calm singing voice.)

That song became the reason behind her nicknames "Sunshine" and "Shiny" - given lovingly by her parents.

It didn’t take long before Amy had to return to work at her restaurant, leaving Sonic in charge of taking care of the house and Skyler.

While Skyler was still just a baby, a Familiar Figure invaded her room in the middle of the night. After hearing their daughter's desperate cries, Sonic and Amy rushed in to see what was happening. They came face to face with the old known enemy, with Skyler in his arms.

During a fight to recover their daughter, Sonic ends up being teleported along with Skyler, who overloaded the Chaos Emeralds that the Familiar Figure had, due to her uncontrolled powers.

Now, Sonic, with the help of Sage, has the mission to return home with Skyler and prevent the old enemy's revenge plan from being completed, which aims to end all their friends and the world.

And so begins, The End of the World Incident.

The tear in Skyler's left ear happened during this event.

CHILDHOOD:

Even without knowing it, Skyler's Energy abilities drastically decreased after this event, almost like an instinctive block for her protection.

Sonic and Amy became much more protective after this. Amy was the one who made this most noticeable, being extremely protective and wanting to avoid at all costs that Skyler get into dangerous situations (whether they were severe or minor) and often letting herself be carried away by the paranoia of her excessive worry. Sonic, on the other hand, always gave her his trust and appeared to be more calm, constantly encouraging her to explore on her own, even though he was always nearby, staying alert in case he needed to act.

Even with all the care from her parents, Skyler was very clumsy. She would often hurt herself when she was alone.

She cried about almost everything. Being emotional was a very strong trait in her when she was a child.

Despite this, Sonic kept his promise. Whenever possible, he would take Skyler to new places in a matter of seconds, just to spend time with her and show her new things. Skyler was raised with the same morals as her father: the feeling of running against the wind and exploring new places was amazing, and she loved the freedom.

When not working at the restaurant, Amy enjoyed spending time with Skyler. Whether it was picking out cute outfits for them, cooking together, or watching movies. She would invite Cream and Rouge to join in on this time, which also included Jasper.

Jasper and Skyler are considered cousins, raised almost like siblings. Jasper was responsible for Sonic taking care of Skyler when he wasn’t around, and he always did so, whether it was preventing her from getting hurt or offering advice.

TEENAGER:

With the birth of her siblings (Zack and Lilly), Skyler found herself a little left out, which affected her emotionally.

As she was heading into her pre-teen years, she felt she needed to be stronger so that her parents (especially her father) would see her as capable of taking care of herself.

During this time, she became close to Aura, who was now in town with her father and studying at the same school as Skyler.

Aura was being bullied by bullies. Until one day, Skyler let her emotions take over and unlocked the fury of her Energy abilities again to protect her best friend. Causing damage and hurting the bullies as well as herself.

After this incident, her Uncle Tails analyzed her and designed prototypes for Energy Inhibitors. These were meant to ease the discharges that Skyler absorbed and released. Regularly, she would go on tests to assess the power of her abilities.

Sonic and Amy weren’t fully sure about it yet. But at Amy's suggestion, they decided to put Skyler through training to learn how to control her powers at the Resilience HQ Training Academy - Run by Surge and Kitsunami.

Due to having similar abilities, Surge quickly became Skyler's main mentor. Helping her control her abilities and serving as a guide to build more self-confidence (along with a little rebelliousness.)

Sonic often talked to her, and although Skyler was changing, he remained a safe point for her to remember that her main goal in becoming strong was to make him proud.

YOUNG ADULT:

Skyler grew up helping with small tasks within the Resilience HQ.

Her quills darkened over time, something common for Hedgehogs.

Her Energy Inhibitors are in their final stage and upgraded to prevent overloading.

The glasses she wears are digital, functioning as a communication device, heat vision, map guide, and data display.

Despite being hot-headed and stubborn, her sense of justice and determination make her make decisions to protect others, regardless of whether she gets hurt in the process.

Skyler learned to ride Extreme Gear at Aura's request, just so she would have an alternative method of transportation during their outings - Aura uses her roller-skate.

When mentally overwhelmed, Skyler prefers to lie on her Extreme Gear up high, just looking at the sky.

She feels intimidated by Shadow.

Skyler tends to see Eggman as a sort of grandfather, even though he occasionally continues with his crazy plans.

Skyler has always wanted to go on a mission as a Resilience fighter, but at her mother's request, Surge and the Diamond Cutters don’t call her up for any.

And then, one day, she disobeys orders and decides to investigate a call for help from a fire near a vacation camp zone on her own. She is accompanied by Jasper and Aura.

Conclusion...

And the rest is history… I'll tell you more at some point :)

Jade Jasper - The Shrewd Hunter!

The only son of Knuckles and Rouge in my AU! And the oldest in his team. I'll share some fun facts about this lazy bat!

Some facts about him from my AU:

At first, when Rouge found out about her pregnancy, she acted nervously. She never expected to become a mother someday, and pregnancy between species is risky for both the baby and the mother, which made her anxious on its own. But Rouge was also worried about how Knuckles would react to the news.

With the support of Amy and Cream, she gathered the courage and told him. When she revealed it to Knuckles, she was surprised by his contagious happiness. Knuckles promised Rouge that if she was comfortable with the idea of them becoming parents, he would do everything to protect her and the child at all costs, and would give all the love she deserved. Upon hearing this response, Rouge felt much less tense and allowed herself to be more positive about the idea of becoming a mother, feeling very happy that Knuckles was willing to take a new step in their lives.

Amy and Tails proclaimed themselves as his aunt and uncle - leading Sonic to accept the role as well.

As soon as Jasper opened his eyes for the first time, Rouge was moved with all her heart (something that, for her, was hard to do in front of so many people) and gave him the nickname "My Treasure" for the first time.

Jasper was a baby who slept a lot and had very heavy sleep.

Knuckles was always a proud father and couldn’t stop showing his son to other people. He was also a very protective father – whenever he heard a strange noise, he would rush to check on Jasper.

Rouge always talked to him, babbling and being somewhat aggressive in her affection, sometimes ignoring other people or the surroundings.

As a baby, Jasper had Sonic as his babysitter while his parents got back to their work routine.

Despite sleeping a lot, Jasper gave Sonic a hard time. He always seemed to enjoy watching his uncle struggle and run around trying to catch him while he was flying.

Over time, spending time with his Uncle Sonic taught him a few things, sparking an interest in mischief and making him more of a troublemaker.

He liked to "borrow" some of Tails' gears and tools just because they were shiny. When Tails found out, he already had a pile of Tails' things hidden on Angel Island.

Knuckles trained him while he had his time protecting the Master Emerald. He enjoyed spending time telling stories about his ancestors and recalling the inner strength he, as a future guardian, would have.

Despite this, Jasper is extremely lazy. He enjoys listening to his father, but he doesn't like the idea of becoming a guardian. For him, the less work = better.

During the World’s End Incident, Jasper and other children were cared for by Vanilla and Cream at the Resilience HQ. Even though he was scared, he was one of the children who comforted the others the most with his protective instinct.

It’s not uncommon to see Jasper sleeping lying down or upside down on a tree branch. He even prefers it, as people usually don’t bother him that way.

His ability to stretch his claws was only discovered close to his puberty, while he was on an adventure with the Team Chaotix.

He discovered a passion for fashion influenced by his mother and his Aunt Amy.

Just like his mother, he has a taste for jewelry. He followed this path by spending time analyzing, studying, and being part of T.H.A.

He loves nature for the sense of tranquility and peace it brings.

His combat techniques are a mix of his father's strength and close-range combat, combined with his mother's flexibility and cunning.

While there are moments when his parents are in heated arguments, Jasper is the only one who remains relaxed. He enjoys teasing them while watching the fight, thinking he’s the only one who truly acts like an adult sometimes.

Even after growing up, Rouge still treats him like a baby.

Jasper is very close to his honorary cousin Skyler. They have always been together, making them best friends. Many times, he is the voice of reason for her, guiding and giving advice when she needs it – whether good or bad.

Despite the working partnership between Rouge and Shadow, Jasper never really became close to Aura (Shadow's daughter), until Skyler got closer to her, making them friends and eventually a team.

Even with his relaxed and calm demeanor, he likes to make sharp and overly honest comments, which often annoys Skyler.

He calls himself "Sonic's favorite son" just to tease her.

Intertwined

The Future Team Dark is here!

Team Dark during a moment of my AU - TheSonicFutureAU.

I finally managed to finish them. I confess that although Omega didn’t have many changes, I needed to draw him to complete the whole team, and here it is!

Here are some things about them in my AU:

After a great universal conflict against Dr. Eggman, Sonic and his friends joined forces with the Resistance to defeat the evil genius once and for all. With Sonic's victory, Eggman mysteriously disappeared along with his allies, leaving behind widespread destruction around the world.

With the mysterious disappearance of the villain, Team Dark is recruited by G.U.N to track down Dr. Eggman's whereabouts and gather data from his bases, deactivating all of them and eliminating any remaining threatening technology.

During these events, Shadow encounters a Dark Chao destroying Badniks that were still active on its own. They end up working together to leave the base and find the rest of the team.

Despite being small, the chaotic Dark Chao begins to follow them and becomes a new member of the team, being nicknamed Kuro by Shadow.

At the end of the mission, Rouge convinces Shadow and Omega to join as secret agents and intermediaries for G.U.N., since they would now have recurring missions to investigate all the technology used by Eggman and help with the security of humanity when needed.

5 years later:

Rouge and Knuckles are now together. In addition to being the owner of a famous jewelry store in the center of Station Square, she also works as a business decoy for T.H.A – a group of professionals who search for treasures and artifacts for research purposes, created by Knuckles. Although she is a very busy entrepreneur, Rouge secretly maintains her work as a secret agent for the President and for G.U.N. occasionally.

Shadow continued working as a G.U.N. Special Agent, investing his rewards into the creation of the MARIA Institute, with the goal of helping children with chronic or severe illnesses make their greatest dreams come true, with Cream being the primary person responsible for helping manage the institution.

Omega, just like Kuro, stayed with Shadow throughout all these years, both also working as Special Agents. (The two share a chaotic love for destroying robots and finishing off what remains of Eggman.)

When they weren’t working, Shadow enjoyed spending most of his time doing simple tasks. Shopping, reading books, tidying up his apartment, helping some acquaintances when they needed it, or even visiting the Institute and other charitable organizations.

With the return of Sonic and Amy, Rouge and Knuckles decided to go ahead with their wedding, now that all their friends could be present at the celebration.

2 years later:

Rouge finds out she’s pregnant.

At first, she feels hesitant to tell Knuckles, as the idea of becoming a mother had never crossed her mind. A pregnancy between species is highly risky for both the child and the mother, which made her even more nervous about what Knuckles would think.

Rouge tried to hide it, but Amy and Cream soon found out. Both of them talked to her to calm her down and told her that Knuckles deserved to know, reassuring her that he would not only be happy with the news but would also support her no matter what decision she made.

The Incident of the End of the World begins. A familiar figure takes control of Eggman's lost technologies, leading a global army to destroy the Earth and all who inhabit it.

During this event, Shadow encounters a father being attacked and cornered with a baby in his arms. He protects him from the robots, but the father explains that he is too weak to resist any longer. Even though Shadow tries to find other ways to help him, he eventually gives in to the man’s last request. The father hands the child to Shadow and begs him to protect and care for her. Shadow takes the child.

Despite struggling a lot during these events, Shadow eventually forms a protective bond with the baby and ends up adopting her as his daughter, Aura the Porcupine.

About the Designs:

Shadow no longer grows, so he chooses to wear his Air Shoes with slightly higher heels.

Rouge only wears this outfit during missions and at T.H.A; at her jewelry store, she wears a different outfit that is less revealing of her secret profession.

Omega painted the symbol that Shadow frequently uses in his honor.

Kuro is a mix of the original DARK CHAO design and the SHADOW CHAO design.

Conclusion…

And for now, that's it! I hope to bring more about them in the future :)

Zack & Lilly The Hedgehog - The Gremlins Twins!

I was trying to hold off on them until I finished Skyler's redesign, but I couldn't.

I had mentioned some time ago that I wanted to give Sonic and Amy chaotic twins because I can totally see them causing trouble and getting into a lot of mischief, and well: Here they are!

Some facts about them in my AU:

When Amy was pregnant, she constantly felt tremors in her body and headaches. These effects were caused by the abilities they were naturally born with – the Supersonic Scream.

Zack was born seconds before Lilly.

When they were babies, they couldn’t control their abilities, which is why there were constantly broken windows around the house. They would even get scared by the sound of their own 'super-cries' when they were in the crib, which occasionally led to some hearing impairments.

Lilly is the thinker of the duo. She always comes up with foolproof plans and strategies to start a chaos zone. Zack has a more innocent mind, but still, he loves causing trouble too.

Lilly has a shorter temper, with assertiveness, leadership, and perfectionism. She likes it when everything is going as planned, and when things don’t go as expected, she knows how to play the 'helpless girl' to avoid facing the consequences. She dreams of not only dominate the world but also becoming a famous actress.

Although he causes trouble too, Zack is more soft-hearted. He tends to be more affectionate and empathetic, with a strong sense of protection and courage. He would love to have the chance to perform a heroic act like his father someday.

Zack loves stories of romance and fantasy. Every night before bed, he would ask his father to tell the story of King Arthur, where Sonic would give so many details that it made him wonder if he had been there when the story happened.

Lilly has a great taste for mystical and magical things – thanks to her mother's Tarot cards. She eventually discovers that she can cast some spells, but only when she's an adult.

Both have the ability to summon weapons. However, Lilly has always chosen to design a cute umbrella that could help her glide and be more defensive, while her brother, who dreams of protecting others and being a great knight, opts for a sword.

Lilly and Zack will rarely be seen apart; she is the shield to his attacks. They highly honor their own sibling code.

Zack doesn't have super speed like his father, but his Uncle Tails designed technologies that use his movements as energy, making him faster.

Both love playing pranks on their older sister – Skyler. This always irritates her, as she usually ends up having to fix the problems they cause.

They are 6 years younger than Skyler - If something happened to her siblings, she would feel guilty.

In Amy's view, the twins are angels. They always pretend nothing is happening, because if she finds out, they’ll be in serious trouble. Sonic knows they cause a lot of mischief, so he scolds them without involving Amy, advising them and giving them moral lessons so they don’t do it again – which always happens.

Lilly is daddy's little girl, Zack is mommy's little boy.

Zack eats a lot, which gives him a more robust body when he’s an adult.

Both are extremely dramatic. They like to think they’re acting in an anime, saying impactful lines and making exaggerated gestures.

They are very close friends with their cousin - Tails and Zooey's daughter.

Their biggest goal is to dominate the world. However, when they become adults, this plan fades from Zack's path, as he wants to follow in his father's footsteps as a hero, but Lilly still has the desire to rule it in an evil way.

Zack has spikes similar to Sonic's deceased parents, while Lilly has bangs-like spikes similar to Amy's mother.

Conclusion...

For now, that's it. Some of the characters mentioned aren't finished yet, but as soon as I finish, I’ll be posting new information!

The Future Team Sonic has appeared!

Besides finally giving a name to the AU (TheSonicFutureAU), I finished the designs for the Main 4 during Sonic and Amy's return, and I confess that I’m happy with the result.

I tried to stay close to the original color palettes of the characters while making slight changes to convey the idea I originally wanted to express about them.

Here are some things about them in my AU:

After a great universal conflict against Dr. Eggman, Sonic and his friends joined forces with the Resistance to defeat the evil genius once and for all. With Sonic's victory, Eggman mysteriously disappeared along with his allies, leaving behind widespread destruction around the world.

The Resistance was tasked with helping the local residents and investigating Eggman's whereabouts, while Sonic committed to helping each affected city around the world. But this time, he wouldn’t go alone, finally accepting Amy's company, who, throughout the calamity, confessed her true feelings for Sonic and saved him from death.

During these events, Tails became a distinguished aerial combat pilot and proved to be capable of being a great strategist in the skies.

Knuckles was the main pillar for organizing the attacks and positioning defenses. He believed that if necessary, he would sacrifice himself for the good of everyone, which resulted in deep scars on his body but saved many lives in the process.

5 years later:

Sonic and Amy return to the city. They developed a 'situational' relationship where their friendship was stronger than ever, but there were also affections (and kisses) beyond that. They both knew each other's feelings and talked about it a lot, but Sonic didn’t feel comfortable with the idea of starting a relationship, and Amy respected his time. This made their 'something more' status a secret just between them.

Tails kept in touch with them frequently through calls, keeping them updated on the latest news and enjoying sharing every change happening in his life. Yet, when Sonic and Amy returned, they were shocked by how much Tails had changed.

Tails was starting to sell his inventions to Scientific Centers, but he aspired to go further and establish his own Technology Research Corporation.

Knuckles was now dating Rouge, being the founder of the Treasure Hunters Association (T.H.A), a group of professionals who search for treasures and artifacts for research purposes, aiming to learn more about the stories of their ancestors, and becoming an excellent historian and explorer. Of course, he also continued to protect Angel Island and the Master Emerald.

Throughout all these years, in addition to helping each city she visited, Amy wrote in a Logbook all the cultures, memories, feelings, landscapes, and photographs she encountered. The most important were the different recipes each place could offer her, which motivated her to think about opening her own restaurant, turning it into a goal.

With the return of their friends, Rouge and Knuckles decided it was the perfect time to proceed with their wedding. Unknowingly, the celebration became a torture for Sonic regarding his relationship with Amy. But during an honest conversation with Knuckles, he realized that being with someone in that position should never be a weakness, but rather the strength of the desire to be by someone's side and grow together. This reflection helped Sonic understand his true feelings about being with someone and gave him the push to propose to Amy. (With a yes!)

Amy and Sonic get married 1 year later.

With her efforts and help, Amy finally opens Dulce Amy's Restaurant.

Knuckles and Rouge have a child - Jade Jasper.

Now with someone else to protect, Tails helps Knuckles in guarding Angel Island by creating a highly precise security system around the entire Island. This same system led to Tails' recognition during a competition developed by one of his greatest inspirations in the field, securing him an opportunity to work on a major project with his idol.

When routine returned to normal, Rouge and Knuckles asked Sonic to take care of Jasper while they worked. (Since he was taking care of the house while Amy worked at the restaurant). At first, Sonic felt clearly uncomfortable, but he began to grow more and more fond of the idea of having someone to care for – and wanting to have a child.

About the Designs:

Everyone has one (or more) rings in their gear and outfits, symbolizing the idea that the four of them are a team and share a strong bond.

Foxes usually tend to orange their fur as they get older, but Tails only had some areas of his fur like that.

Both Knuckles' and Sonic's scars were caused during the Calamity against Eggman.

Sonic's red jacket was a gift from Amy.

Reencounter. - My Future!Sonic AU;

[ Notes: I don’t usually post what I write, especially because most of my writings are in my language, but I want to start showing what I’m planning for my AU (which still doesn’t have a name...) and slowly improve over time! ]

[ IMPORTANT: English is not my native language, so there might be some mistakes. ] [ Context: After the disappearance and defeat of Dr. Eggman, Sonic and Amy joined forces to finally travel the world together. Over the years, while being apart from their friends, they maintained a "situational" relationship, with nothing clearly defined about what they truly are. But now, they've returned and reunited with two old friends who share a surprising piece of news. ]

“I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!” The lemur exclaimed with excitement. “SONIC!! AMY!!” she shouted at the top of her lungs, waving her hands in the air.

The pair of hedgehogs looked in the direction of the call, and after noticing the two friendly figures, they both smiled widely in surprise.

“TANGLE!! WHISPER!!” Amy rushed to approach the two women with the same enthusiasm as the lemur, "IT’S BEEN SO LONG!”

Sonic nodded, still smiling, standing next to the pink hedgehog.

“HEY! WE SHOULD BE THE ONES SAYING THAT!”

Without wasting much time, the lemur threw her arms around the pair of hedgehogs, hugging them tightly. Sonic showed visible discomfort while Amy reciprocated the hug with the same intensity.

“We had no idea you were back,” the mysterious wolf whispered briefly, but returned a warm smile.

“Well... Heheh, we wanted to surprise y'all,” the cobalt hedgehog began. “We didn’t even tell Tails about it.”

“Oh man, he’s going to be so happy to know you’re back!” Tangle pulled away, now resting her hands on the couple’s shoulders. “You guys missed so much while you were gone!”

“We can imagine...” Amy let out a light sigh, but soon changed her expression. “But it looks like you two stayed pretty close~”

Tangle stepped back, exchanging glances with Whisper. A laugh escaped both of them while the hedgehogs looked confused.

“Well... Things have changed.” The lemur walked over to her partner, holding her hand and intertwining their fingers.

“We’re married now.” Whisper said, gently caressing her wife’s hand. Subtle laughter escaped.

“E-Excuse me... WHAT?!” Amy exclaimed, and in the blink of an eye, she rushed over to Tangle, giving her a tight hug. “I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!! AAAH!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!”

Tangle grunted as she was lifted off the ground during the hug. She could feel her bones crack all at once, causing her tail to stretch out in a startled manner.

“I’M SO HAPPY FOR YOU TWO!!!” The smile that lit up the pink hedgehog’s face in a cute way quickly turned into a killer stare. “But why didn’t you invite me?”

“Actually, we invited...” Whisper was still smiling. “But Tails told us that Sonic said you wouldn’t be able to make it in time."

“Y-YEAH! A-And we understand-” Tangle was suddenly let go, causing her to fall to the ground.

“YOU DID WHAT!?” The pink hedgehog immediately turned to Sonic, who raised his hands in front of him in defense.

“C-Calm down A-Amy! I-I just told them we couldn’t make it...” The cobalt hedgehog took a step back, his quills standing up from the way Amy was staring at him. “I-I didn’t see the message in time and... And we were really far from here in any c-”

“It was OUR friends' wedding, Sonic! We couldn’t miss it!” Amy stomped her foot aggressively and grabbed Sonic by his jacket, lifting him off the ground.

Her glare could have burned him alive, that much he was sure of.

The hedgehog let out a nervous laugh, trying not to show that he was afraid of his own partner.

“No, no, Amy!” Attention shifted to Tangle’s voice, who had already gotten up from the fall. “It’s fine!”

“We have no hard feelings about it.” Whisper added, bringing her hand to intertwine with Tangle’s once again. A loving smile was shared between them.

“Yeah! After all, we didn’t want to interrupt your honeymoon!” Tangle smiled, caressing her wife’s hand, causing her to laugh. “Now that we’re married, we’ve realized how important it is!”

Silence.

The hedgehogs stared at each other in silence, frozen in their positions. Until they turned their gaze back to the couple in front of them.

“Honeymoon...?” Sonic murmured, feeling his cheeks and ears heat up all at once.

“Oh, yes... You... You two are married, right?” Whisper murmured, slightly opening her half-closed eyes.

Once again, the couple froze. The redness now covered not just Sonic but Amy too.

“W-Well... T-This is... It’s complicated.” Amy grabbed her own arm, pulling back slightly out of embarrassment.

“Heh... W-We... We don’t...” Sonic also looked away, scratching his nose. His discomfort was visible, while beads of sweat climbed up his forehead.

“Oh.” Whisper said.

“This is really a surprise.” Tangle was more direct.

“W-what?” The pink hedgehog turned to her, confused by the mention.

“Well... Sonic can dodge a lot of things, but it’s pretty obvious he’s already chosen you!” The lemur said while Whisper briefly nodded in agreement. “But since you haven’t... When do you plan to propose, Sonic?”

“P-P-PROPOSE!?”

The red hue now overtook both hedgehogs faces in an even more intense way.

If Amy could compare the heat she felt, it would easily be equivalent to the temperature of the sun.

Sonic now felt like he needed to crawl into a hole and never come out.

“Uh... Are you both alright?” Whisper asked.

“SURE! W-We... A-Amy and I have to... WE NEED TO HURRY!” The desperate look was shifted between the women in front and the smaller hedgehog, who was nearly boiling over. “T-Tails is waiting for us! It’s so-good-to-see-you-again-see-you-later!”

The speed at which the words left his mouth before grabbing Amy’s wrist and running was a matter of seconds.

The couple stood still, watching the blue blur get farther and farther away.

“See you... Later.” Tangle raised her hand, waving slowly, a confused expression crossing her face. “Did I say something wrong?”

Whisper looked at her back, also confused. [ . . . ]

“S-Sonic, slow down!” The hedgehog shouted, trying to break free from the grip on her wrist. Her cheeks were visibly puffed, and she looked quite angry. “I thought we were going to enjoy seeing everything we missed in the city before reaching Tails!”

She managed to break free, causing him to stop running. A sigh escaped her lungs as she straightened her clothes before walking up to him.

“...Sorry, Ames.”

He was scratching under his nose, trying to ease the discomfort he felt all at once. The beads of sweat were still visible on his forehead, while his peach-colored cheeks took on a subtle red hue that only Amy could see.

She thought it was cute when he got like this.

A loving smile was planted on her lips.

“I know how uncomfortable you get when... People mention stuff like that.” She murmured, getting closer to him. “And it’s o-okay! We’ve talked about it, and you know how I feel.”

Amy stood face to face, still watching the hedgehog avoid looking at her. Her red lips curled into a teasing smile.

She wasn’t going to let this opportunity slip by.

“I think it’s cute when you get like this.”

Immediately, the emerald eyes shifted to meet her jade ones.

Sonic felt his quills stand up when, unexpectedly, Amy stroked his chest fur, just as she always did for effective flirting.

He felt his face turn an intense shade of red, far more intense than before.

“A-A-AMY!” His voice cracked louder than he wanted it to, causing a few people passing by in the busy city area to look at the scene, startled.

Sonic bit his lip and gently held her hand over his chest. “N-Not in front of people...”

“Funny, because it seems like someone doesn’t want me to stop~” The smaller hedgehog wagged her tail aggressively, her face still wearing a playful smile. Sonic knew she loved his reactions, and at this exact moment, she would do more if necessary.

“N-NO! I mean...” A heavy sigh escaped his lungs as he gently lowered her hand to her side. “L-Look... Let’s go see Tails first. After that, I’ll let you do whatever you want, okay?”

“So someone really wants to relax...” She teased again, placing her hand on her own hip. “Alright, I’ll give you the best cuddles in the world!”

“Heh, are you sure it’s going to be the best?” The hedgehog smirked, now also placing his hands on his hips. “I might not always offer it, but I assure you mine are superior.”

“Oh! Sonic The Hedgehog!” Amy pretended to be offended, leaning forward. “Challenging this refined woman to give more violent cuddles? Don’t make me laugh...”

“Maybe yes, maybe not.” The hedgehog leaned forward, now sporting a mischievous grin. “Who knows, maybe I’ll do the same?”

Both of their gazes were sharp, the playful teasing awakening their competitive sides. Now, an overwhelming desire grew in their hearts, with only the wish to jump on each other and exchange a series of desperate kisses while rolling on the grass, feeling the heat of desire rise more and more.

But that couldn’t happen.

Sonic remembered they were in public.

With a LOT of people.

As they were focused on their teasing, a crowd began to approach, noticing that Sonic The Hedgehog, the Fastest Hero that ever existed and the one responsible for saving the Universe from many destructive threats, and Amy Rose, the Great Hammer Heroine with a benevolent and kind heart, were there.

Together.

“OH, MY GAIA!” “IS IT REALLY THEM!?” “CAN I TAKE A PICTURE!?” “SONIC THE HEDGEHOG HERE? I'M DREAMING!!” “AMY ROSE TOO!? I NEED TO TALK TO HER!!” “THEY'RE TOGETHER!!”

Both of their quills stood up as they quickly shifted to waves and light greetings.

“Eheheh! H-Hello!” Amy tried to sound sweet, though she was more embarrassed.

Sonic tried to sound normal, giving winks and confident smiles, but he felt like he was screaming inside for almost being caught kissing Amy.

“Well... I guess we should get going... fast, don’t you think?” Sonic murmured softly for his partner to hear, receiving a discreet nod from her.

“If you don’t mind...” Sonic quickly grabbed Amy by the wrist and stepped forward. “We need to go, bye!”

And once again, the blue blur was moving away, leaving the crowd surrounded by the wind created by their speed. [ Final Notes: Although it's brief, I confess that I like adding a more "sillie" side. I'm still not sure if I should add some angst here… hmmmm ]
