30 Days of Character Building
Day 3) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason?
Adwin has several scars on his body due to near death encounters with wild beasts or bandits. The one he takes the most pride in however is a scar that is located on his lower chest region where a large gash is slightly visible. A bear rushed towards the hunter and was upon him before he could get let an arrow fly. Seeing no choice, Adwin took it upon himself to stab the bear several times in the eye with his dagger while the bear attacked his chest. Luckily, the wounds were grave but not lethal as the young noble was able to return to tell hi tale...accompanied by a big bear pelt as his trophy of that conquest.

"Was that you escorting Lady Charlotte Lancastir around the other day?"
The noble looked over his shoulder at the comment, narrowing his eyes in order to see who had spoken. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t recognize the figure nor the voice who uttered those words. “She was in need of assistance and I helped her, that was all.” He stated flatly, “Though she is quite good looking is she? Oh well....” he added as an afterthought, slowly walking away from the man or woman who asked him such a personal question. Adwin wasn’t surprised in the slightest that such news had broken out. Both him and Charlotte weren’t exactly quiet nor were they being subtle after the dozen or so bottles of liquor....much less after they left Divinity’s Reach In order to find a quiet place to ‘rest’. Shaking his head at the constant rumor mill that kept churning every day; hopefully it would be dismissed rather than taken as an absolute truth. One thing was for certain however, Adwin’s life was about to get more interesting...for better or worse.

30 Days of Character Building
Day 2) What are your characters most prominent physical feature
For Adwin, it must be his eyes. His family has always talked about how he could express himself with just a look which he uses to his advantage. Whether it be for intimidation, flirtation or just to prove a point...just a glance in a general direction is more than sufficient. But there is also a mesmerizing look to them, as if you could get lost in their depths if one isn’t careful enough.

30 Days of Character Building
1.) Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?
Adwin has always preferred his mother over his father for several reasons. The first is that Gastone is a selfish bastard that uses his sons to increase his own power. Once Adwin found out about Gastone’s motives, he became distant and strived to become his own man. It was around this time that his rebelious streak started and he has been a thorn to his family’s side ever since. His mother was always kind to him and prefered him and his sister over her two other sons. He always went to her for advice and council and to this day, she has great influence over him. While his father only saw him as a piece of a grander puzzle, she saw him as her son. His overal upbringing was mostly of being ignored while also being able to get away with things that other noble children, including his brothers, wouldn’t get away with.

Archetype for Adwin
Take the quiz here
our archetype is the doppelgänger.
(disclaimer: the doppelgänger archetype is not a reflection of what a horrible person you are. ie: luke castellan, and regulus black were both extremely brave people. your choices and actions define you)
traits: manipulative, self deprecating, intelligent, knowledgable, ambiguous, caring
the doppelgänger is most commonly used to symbolize the divide between two egos, or a the grey line between good and bad. doppelgängers are extremely intelligent, and are able to manipulate a persons thoughts and feelings for their own benefit. while they are seen as a darker character, they are closer to being morally ambiguous, if not, someone who has been forced into a position they never agreed upon. doppelgängers wish they could do better, and often find themselves regretting not doing something. while they are capable of manipulating others, they are vulnerable, making themselves susceptible to being manipulated as well. although many of their traits are negative, they crave attention, validation, and wish they could be a better version of themselves. if you can get under their hard exterior, you'll find a true friend, and a loyalist.
fictional characters that are doppelgängers: severus snape, draco malfoy, credence barebone, luke castellan, sherlock holmes, anakin skywalker, bruce wayne, spike (btvs), angel (btvs), faith lehane, daryl dixon, selina kyle, natasha romanoff, regulus black
other personality types that go with this: hades, wampus, horned serpent, slytherin
