I have not forgotten @ vlog squad
Just remembered I had this blog and I just want to say that while Jeff is getting better press I have not forgotten about the accusations against them.
David’s half ass apology meant nothing to me, the inaction of many Vlog Squad members is questionable, Jason Nash is still weird, and the culture of peer pressure in the VS has still not been called out. Seth’s SA has not been acknowledged and Jason Nash has faced little to no scrutiny.

Jeff’s stance on Palestine
I started this blog during the SA accusations of the Vlog Squad but I feel I have to comment on what Jeff said on Jeff FM. Like many other fans have pointed out, Jeff is basically taking the side of the oppressor (Israel) by agreeing with Mike S. Jeff is almost notorious for being uninformed but he could do better. Being uninformed is not inherently bad but it requires action. During Skotcast Jeff would say the first thing that came to his mind on news topics and Jay would them educate him.
It would be interesting if Jeff said his original thoughts on a topic and spent time researching it then coming to a new conclusion. This would be a great way to show how one can educate themselves which is a buzz word that gets thrown around a lot. It’s not a good look but it’s redeemable with the right response and action

My take on Frenemies # 26
A question I think should have been asked is “Are you defending David because you have the same manager?” just to see the reaction Jeff would have to that. I feel like Jack Reed is the real problem here as far as why this hasn’t been addressed properly along with the Seth incident. I think he’s trying to protect David at all cost because he’s the main cash flow for his business. If you look at his talent (linked below) you can see that David is the biggest name along with Jason, Jeff and Cierra Ramirez (an actress and Jeff’s ex and why he’s signed with Jack Reed).
If David is the reason for Jeff’s eye accident which someone posted the description on David’s Reddit months ago (linked). It could be the reason why he hasn’t said anything. It would be a PR nightmare for David who BTW has been on Nickelodeon many times and won Nickelodeon Awards even knowing his content isn’t made for children. But Viacom (they own Nick and MTV along with many other tv networks) also has Nick Cannon on payroll so go figure.
To refocus back on Jeff here, I think Jeff knows a lot more than he’s saying but is trying to protect David and Todd but doesn’t understand that they won’t protect him in the end. Trisha is a great example of that along with Seth and Big Nick. If Jeff would like to keep his career he should get rid of Jack Reed and hire a really good lawyer and a whole new management team. All he had to say was “I didn’t purchase the alcohol, I was unaware of the incident, and I’m so sorry that this happened. I’ll do better.” I don’t know why he chose to grab a shovel and start digging a hole for himself by trying to discredit everyone involved.
It’s not Kat’s fault it’s behind a paywall she just wrote the article to tell the story. I also hate paywalled content so I get his point and also why news outlets put paywalls up. If he went with Todd to buy the alcohol then just say it.
I also feel the need to say I’ve watched Trisha since 2014 and the Vlog Squad since early 2017 and at this point I of course keep up with Trisha but Jeff is the only one I do still keep up with as far as watching content with the Vlog Squad. I stopped listening to Views 2 years ago. Even though I do love Zane and Heath I just don’t really watch their podcast.

Advice for Jeff’s Lawyers #06: reading the article
Disclaimer: I’m not a lawyer so take everything I say with a grain of salt
-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/
I would say that going on the H3H3 podcast was kind of a good idea because now we know that you’re not afraid to speak up but it was a whole mess. Going on without being prepared was honestly stupid but it happened
The next thing to do right now is to read the article. While you read it you should do a live update of your thoughts at certain places to let people know what you think and that you read it.
Since the article is behind a pay wall it may be illegal to post screenshots that show what parts you’re talking about so put the phrase in quotes. If the quote is too long use the notes app and add the photo to the tweet.
Again it was stupid to go on unprepared but you can grow from it.

Advice for Jeff’s Lawyers #05: texting Dom
Disclaimer: I’m not a lawyer so take everything I say with a grain of salt
-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/
As much as you want a response from Dom it is possible that he could sue you for harassment. Considering all the other charges he could possibly be facing I doubt he’ll press charges but he could. The laws about texting harassment are as follows.
One text message does not count as harassment, even if it’s intended to distress you. But two unanswered and unwanted text messages can be considered harassment. One text message and one phone call can also count as harassment.
Source
Seeing as you’ve sent multiple you could be in some hot water. While what you said may have been said in the heat of the moment there are rules about what can and can’t be said.
Repeated or unwanted contact
Threats of violence or harm
Threats of property damages
If he decides press charges it would first start with with a restraining order. If the judge decides, the case would then go to civil court. I doubt this’ll happen but be prepared if it does.

Advice for Jeff’s Lawyers #04: renouncing friends
Disclaimer: I’m not a lawyer so take everything I say with a grain of salt
We are now in the court of public opinion and not the law. This is a matter of re establishing credibility
-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/
It’s time to renounce your friends at this point. The boat is sinking and now’s the last chance to get off.
Your career may have arguably been jumpstarted by David but you owe him nothing. You as are a fundamentally different than David & company. The support you have is based on you and the guests you bring.
I think that what’s about to happen to David a is more than just bad press but possible criminal indictment. I think that this is David’s fall from grace and whatever pull you think he has is now gone. This situation is not comparable to anything that has happened in the past. This the age of #metoo and those in power (ie. David) will be taken down.
I suggest you start a Patreon to make up for lost sponsors. It would give you a steady stream of monthly income. Other YouTubers use it so just use a similar business model. Sponsors may leave but most fans will stay and be open to paying a bit of money. You’ll be fine without David

Advice for Jeff’s Lawyers #03: establishing location
Disclaimer: I’m not a lawyer so take everything I say with a grain of salt
We are now in the court of public opinion and not the law. This is a matter of re establishing credibility
-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/
I watched most of the Frenemies Podcast live video and I think that people don’t know where you were so it looks suspicious. Using technology is the best way to prove where you were instead of a friends testimony. I’ve listed different ways you can do that below.
One thing to be aware of is that it may begin to look suspicious. Think “the lady doth protest too much”.
1. Google Maps location history
Google Maps saves your past locations for several years so there won’t be an issue with that. Due to the locations being so close it might be difficult to show where you were.
2. Building Access Records
Since your building has a security/checking in desk the doorman or security footage can show what time you came and left. I’m not sure how long they keep that footage or who can access that but that’s a question for your actual lawyer.
Good luck getting sponsors, I think most fans and even Trisha are with you

Advice for Jeff’s Lawyers #02: recording the reporter
Disclaimer: I’m not a lawyer so take everything I say with a grain of salt
-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/
Based on this video and a comment that was on it
TL;DR: recording someone without their consent is illegal in California and not admissible in court but right now we’re in the court of public opinion
Tumblr media
California is a two party state meaning both parties must consent to being recorded. I don’t know if you had the reporter’s consent but if you didn’t there might be an issue.
California's wiretapping law is a "two-party consent" law. California makes it a crime to record or eavesdrop on any confidential communication, including a private conversation or telephone call, without the consent of all parties to the conversation. See Cal. Penal Code § 632.
Source
California has some of the strongest laws in the country on wiretapping. Put simply, absent consent of all parties, they are not only not admissible into evidence, but a crime to obtain and allow the “injured party” to sue. Admittedly, damages are hard to prove in these cases. Recognizing this, the statutes provide for a multiplier of damages should the civil case be proven. Further, given the cost of litigation and the fact that the act is a crime, the exposure can be significant.
Source
At this point you are being tried in the court of public opinion so anything is fair game. If your case goes to court it is not admissible and you may face charges. There is an exception though.
In California, for example, you can record a conversation without the other person knowing if you believe it will collect evidence of a serious crime.

Advice for Jeff’s Lawyers #01: being a felon
Disclaimer: I’m not a lawyer so take everything I say with a grain of salt
-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/
As everyone knows Jeff is a felon but no one truly knows the nature of those crimes. Explaining what those are and having people you knew at the time corroborate what you say looks better.
If you don’t explain what your crimes were people will come to their own conclusions. The conclusion they’ll come to will most likely be worse than what truly happened. People such as drama channels, fans, haters, and Trisha.
Do a video with your lawyer so you don’t accidentally incriminate yourself and just talk. Explain why you did it, what you gained, the stakes, and stuff like that. I would recommend you watch the documentary Oxy King that was screened at the South by Southwest film festival. In that documentary there is a drug dealer who talks about what he did but the audience feels sympathy for him. Other similar documentaries might help as well.
Just to go the extra mile doing videos with organizations working to help inmates like you did with Petco is a bad idea. Because of the character that you played in David’s videos no one knows who you are or what you stand for. That must be defined so people can form an opinion with more facts.

He does feel a little better now but, if you've seen his video, he's literally struggling to a point where it makes me cry.// he’s definitely upset by it, and it hurts to fucking watch..there was one point in the video where I genuinely thought he was gonna start crying. It’s so awful that he’s had his name dragged throught the mud like this and that he feels like he has to be more open with us 😔
I did watch his video and I know he’s been very upset but he does appreciate his supporters standing by his side through all of this. I’ve said this so many times today but it does break my heart seeing him like this. He’s such a caring, genuine man and he’s been trying to simply get his point across and tell the truth/make sure people know he’s not involved in any crime that had taken place that night only to have thousands of people attack him. Imagine being innocent and wanting nothing but let people know that you are innocent yet have people drag your name through the dirt, bring up your past and hold it against you, have sponsorships being taken away from you... when you’ve been trying to tell the fucking truth. I want to give him a massive hug. For like 30 minutes at least.

I believe Jeff is going to come back stronger than ever from this. Idk how he could get his sponsors back, but I know he will get new ones. He’s has worked so hard and we are all here to support him. I’m beyond angry that he is going through this right now but I know it’ll be ok in the end .
He’s worked over a decade on himself, to better himself. He had so much shit thrown his way already and he’s way too determined to give up. I think most of all he’s just frustrated because what’s happening to him is simply unfair. He spoke up first because he didn’t want to be associated with a crime/didn’t want to be held accountable for something he didn’t do and this is the outcome. It’s un fucking fair. Again, he’s a workaholic and he won’t give up. I know it. It just pisses me off that it happened to him because he’s the best and he’s already going through so much.

What people think
He has such a big heart I’m proud of him. I just wish instead of defending his friends he would call them out too but that’s probably impossible for him to do. Everyone’s focus is on him meanwhile dom is living freely. Trisha should redirect her attention but she knows only Jeff will respond back to her. I get she was hurt by them but at this point she’s not even going after the rapist and the instigator, David.
The fact he called Trisha to talk this out privately just shows how big of a person he is. I don’t think Dom realises how serious the situation is. Didn’t he just go private on Instagram? What does that do for him? Does he think he’s just going to go off the radar with that? He tells Jeff to stop calling him because he can’t take fucking responsibility for something that he’s done? Doesn’t matter how many years ago it had taken place. There's still people who are genuinely traumatised. All of it disgusts me and I’m glad I chose to support Jeff instead of any of those people.

Legal Strategy for Jeff
-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/
Disclaimer: I am not licensed to practice law and anything I saw is just advice
Think of me as a shitty PR team, unaccredited lawyer, and fan rolled into one
At this point I would like to trust him but I don’t think he’s totally uninvolved. Right now I’ll be trusting Jeff and the victims but that’s not final. I think he knows who bought the alcohol and won’t say. I’ll be waiting for more info to make my decision.
I’ll be reblogging what people think and making my own posts with advice. My advice will go in a master list in description.
