"Joséphine Amoureuse" and "Marie Walewska" are two French TV productions from the 1970s. Where can I see these films? I think Pierre Arditi's performance as "Bonaparte" is worth seeing! 🥰

But what interests me most is William Sabatier's performance; he appears in both productions: as Napoleon in "Joséphine amoureuse" and as Duroc in "Marie Walewska"!

In the biography "Napoleon & Joséphine," Evangeline Bruce writes about Napoleon's stay in Finkenstein in 1807 (when he had sex with Walewska). Bruce quotes a letter the Emperor wrote to his brother-in-law Murat, King of Naples: "...my erotic urge (sex drive) has never been greater!"

Did Napoleon actually wrote this to Murat? Can anyone confirm this? I have never read this sentence in any other book! 🙄

Hot Henriette 🔥

This is simply awesome! This portrait by Antoine Gros, painted in 1813, shows Countess Henriette Legrand, born in 1795, married at the age of fifteen to General Legrand!

On May 24, 1817, Napoléon told Gourgaud: "For a while, I had a great lust for Madame Legrand. But out of consideration for her husband, I held back. I liked Legrand very much; he was a good divisional general. He had the 'sacred fire' within him. He also refused to sign my dismissal." Napoléon has a different kind of 'fire' 🔥🍆 within him. When he sees Henriette (who is dancing in a quadrille at court, 1811) he wants to sleep with her. She's sixteen!!! She's absolutely the type of woman who sexually excites him! (Augerau makes a remark about Henriette, which is narrated by Gräfin Kielmannsegge.) But this story shows wonderfully what Napoléon's love life was really about...sex! He told Caulaincourt - no romance, no longing for love: "It all happens only in the loins!" (just f🖕ck!) 😏
