Orgasm Death Gimmick
Lutz Schramm, Grunge podcast, published 2006
The link contains a song by the band (love it, particularly the guitar 💜)
"At the request of Ninja there is an encore from Orgasm Death Gimmick. I have edited all the tapes that I have and transferred them to the wiki.
While researching, I noticed that guitarist Sven Kruspe is apparently identical to Richard Kruspe von Rammstein. The world is so small ... But that's no surprise either - both bands are just good."
Also some photos from this page's wiki

rammstein’s earlyish and relevant performances
I thought it would be pretty cool to compile some sort of coherent set of links to decently filmed early-ish Rammstein concerts, especially for newer fans (and for older ones who haven’t seen everything yet.) anything post 2009 is God tier easy to find, so I figured I’d try to gather all the pro shoot concerts/concert films I could, and also some decently filmed bootlegs. there’s a lot of bootlegs, of course, and I ain’t even seen them all, probably. I only linked bootlegs here that I’ve seen and whose filming I, as someone who’s done some work in the arts, think is watchable.
bootlegs are bolded, everything else is a pro-shoot or concert film. Worth mentioning that it’s 2:50 am here, and if I’m missing anything particularly great, then you should add it.
JAHRE 1996
KOLN (rockpalast) 1996
DER ARENA 1996 I think this is the concert that they show clips from in the Rammstein: who are they video, and it’s also the last concert where they had unprofessional pyrotechnics, because of the accident that happened (nobody died) during this concert. Schneider’s shirtless a lot and they play Das Alte Leid
DUSSELDORF 1997 Robocop concert
AMSTERDAM 1997
PHOENIX 1998 like the only Rammstein concert where they don’t seem sober. the gif of Schneider thrusting rly lewdly is from this
LAKEFRONT 1998 This is obvi not the full thing, but we post what is available
KOLN 1998
LIVE AUS BERLIN 1998
SAN FRANCISCO 1999 I’m from sf and we have the highest population of gays in the country and you can literally hear the gays screaming whenever anyone does anything attractive during this which is why I included it
ST PAUL 2001 the shirtless Mutter reesh gifs you have probably seen are from here
HAMBURG 2001 RED HAIR
VOLKERBALL//NIMES 2005 schneider has fishnets, paul has leederhosen, representation is key
ALSO this guy has a load of bootlegs if anyone is interested in the less well filmed ones
have fun

Are there any interesting Rammstein facts I should know?
See this question is incredibly difficult. There are so many Rammstein facts one ought to know, potentially even if one doesn’t care for Rammstein at all. I mean literally so goddamn many I don’t even know where to start. When I was asked this with Daft Punk I could bullet-point a few interesting tidbits with more ease and just call it a day, but I’ve been digging so deep into the historical/literary background of R+ for so long that there’s probably enough there to participate in a school of Rammsteinology. (I can even recommend the textbooks.) So it’s hard for me to single out certain ‘facts’ as if they didn’t keep on leading to another fact and another speculation and so on until one has a whole article in their hands.
But that’s my situation and not a response to anything. I’ll give it a go. Please forgive that the facts seem disjointed. If I tried to put categories to those (era/individual/etc) we’d be here forever. I have sources for all of those so if you need something cited in more detail, do ask. I’ll point you the way.
The Stasi wanted to have Paul around as an informer in East Germany. Paul knew lots of people, was well-liked, and had witnessed a significant event in… I want to say Ostpunk, but it was actually a serious sociopolitical incident in the country, full stop. It was a Neo-Nazi raid on a concert held in a church. If he’d ever talked, the effects would have been devastating. He did not. This was an era where probably one in six people in East Germany were informers. Someone else would likely have sold him out eventually if not for the fall of the Wall, if he chose not to co-operate, but that’s what he did anyway. He was very brave.
his mic is too damn high
MTV London treated Rammstein very very badly at their first scheduled appearance, when they were still a young band starting out. Only two songs with very downplayed pyrotechnics were allowed to them, and they were just very condescending overall to the band. As a fuck you to MTV Till hid blood capsules and popped them in his mouth during the performance, spitting them out deliberately during their second song. They were kicked out and banned immediately afterwards. Nowadays MTV would lick their boots to have R+ anywhere near them in the rare blue moons when they play real music so they can suck it
Till used to run over rabbits with his Trabant for food, usually with Paul and Flake in the same car. He did not do this with deliberate malicious intent to rid his village of fuzzy critters, he only did this when the rabbits were on his path. Considering the time and place they were in, this was not unusual nor particularly cruel.
Neither was Schneider reluctantly having to drown a cat after he came back from his military service. Ain’t no easily accessible vet in a people’s republic of tyranny
I think it is downplayed, or not well known, just how badly Schneider was fucked over by the government. Studying music at a proper university, and likely making something out of himself academically, was the only reason why he behaved and dutifully did his 18-month military service. He was given a place in computer technology, but a potential switch in major to music was rejected basically for him not being civilized enough, because he didn’t know enough instruments and anyhow drums weren’t going to be of any use. Would you not be pissed if that was what was driving you to work so hard, and your bandmates were messing around lackadaisically with no concern for the future
but grandmama, what a tasty wineglass you have
Richard’s flight to West Germany. Tracking his route is probably the one piece of original research that I am most proud of doing in this fandom. Please read up on it.
Olli once stole a boat as a boy in East Germany. He felt bad.
‘Scholle’ (’plaice’/’flounder’), Richard’s nickname among the R+ members in their earlier days, likely originated from a time spent in Schwerin where Paul/Flake were introduced to Richard ‘alongside the ones who cleared fishing nets’. He might have been doing some work around those parts. I think it is a far more wholesome nickname than anything fandom has come up with and we should return to it
Flake is the gentle, tol, catte-loving trashlord we all aspire to be deep in our hearts. We all know that. The thing I didn’t tell you in this post in that the kitten he’s talking about died a cruel and unusual death, likely from being preyed upon by something else ;_;
what the fuck are y’alls doing in my house (applicable MULTIPLE TIMES, the entire band once broke into a random house by accident)
“… Richard helped out every once in a while… he attracted my attention because of his funny haircut: he had a long ponytail, short at the front with blond streaks - basically, he looked like a stripy squirrel.” (Till, from the R+ Autobiography)
this happened, literal quote:
I hope that was useful, anon.

“Well… he looks really good up close as well. This is me and ReiseReise with Paul last night. We went out to a place in my neighbourhood and Paul was there with his whole family. His wife, his son and daughter, his tiny little lapdog (a brown miniature pincher with a jacket on). We introduced ourselves as we left, he was happy to take some pics with us. It was so funny, Paul was a bit tipsy, he still had food in his mouth and was trying to chew as fast as possible before the photo… which is why his mouth looks a bit weird in the photo. :D (No, we didn’t bother him while he was eating, Paul just decided to continue eating as he is leaving. :D) He was cross-eyed for a moment and checking ReiseReises muscles out before RR put his jacket on, then tried to tense his own muscles to look bigger. :D He made sure to stand one step higher than us and stretched up so much he almost fell forward. :D ReiseReise is actually a few inches taller than him and Paul and I are the same hight. Then he checked out ReiseReise a bit more and his wife got sick of him, gave them both a dirty look and left. She said hi to me though. She’s really beautiful. Paul was very sweet to us. Vielen Dank Paul! ♥ He didn’t leave right after the photos and when he smiled at us RR told him that we look forward to seing them live again. “Me too” Paul said, waved goodbye and ran after his family. The barman (a friend of R+) gave us free shots afterwards. Insane, awesome night.“
