Sofia: Probably the only holiday where you're not expected to feel anything. Great for those of us who are dead inside.
Sofia: What are you going as this year?
Abbey: You're speaking to my heart right now.
Abbey: My frozen heart
Abbey: I can't decide. I was thinking Morticia because she is queen or maybe do a cool Persephone costume. I would have to figure out how to make it myself, but I think it would be cool.

Holden was exhausted. Another twelve hour swift but at least today was his off day. As usual, he couldn’t sleep, so he found himself at the coffee shop, waiting on his coffee. He scooped up the white mocha, far too sweet for his taste as he took a sip but he’d wanted to try something new. He made a slight face, then looked over at the female who was talking. He chuckled softly, reaching into his pocket for a pen. Stepping a bit closer, he crossed out the ‘T’ on her cup. “There you go. You’re Abby,” he murmured. “Unless this isn’t the correct spelling?” He laughed. “Don’t feel bad. I think Holden is a fairly easy one too, and they put ‘Holding’.” He showed her the cup and shook his head in amusement. He turned his head a bit with sudden recognition. “Oh, hey - I’ve seen you at the hospital. I’m a paramedic. I think we’ve met once a while back? I can’t remember which department. I guess you could say I’m in kind of a trance when I’m at work.” He narrowed his eyes, trying to remember. It had only been a brief moment and he didn’t think they’d exchanged many words.
As someone came up to her to cross out the T, the brunette couldn’t help but give a small smile as she looked to see who it was. It was a familiar face, but she couldn’t put a finger on it. Granted, she saw so many different people in a day that sometimes they all bled together. “There’s an E in it, but close enough. Like Abbey Road. Better than adding a random T in there, you know?” She thought it made sense, but who knows what her brain is doing at the moment. “I was trying to figure out if I knew you from somewhere, but I work in the NICU. Sometimes pediatrics if they need someone, but I prefer my babies. It makes sense now though. I couldn’t remember if I worked with you or if you were the parent of a patient. And I was way too tired to figure it out,” she smiled up at him.

“Tabby,” Jacob repeated, doing all he could to keep the smile that crossed his face contained. People’s names got misspelled all the time. Jacob found it hilarious every time. “That’s not so bad. I got –” Jacob lifted his cup and turned it until he found the black sharpie marked on the side. “Jacob. Oh. Well.” He glanced back towards Abigail. “Nothing else really sounds like Jacob, tough, does it?”
“The only thing that comes to mind when I hear Tabby is like the tabby cats? Is that a thing? Or maybe I just heard it on a movie and thought it was a thing,” she gave a small tilt of her head in thought. “Probably. But if you used Jake, i bet that you would have something like Jace or James”

A twelve hour overnight shift wasn’t Abbey’s favorite shift to do. Especially when she had errands that needed her to be awake for a few more hours. She was hoping that a cup of coffee would help, stopping at the coffee shop. Giving a small sigh when she saw the spelling, she shook her head as she ran her hand through her hair. “I just said Abbey and I got Tabby,” she furrowed her brows as she tilted her head.

@slchat
He’d come into work early that day, as he always did, to help open up the place along with his employees. It was his chance to look over what he needed to do before the crowds came in. Surprisingly, the place was busy quite often than not, those of them who were older remembering times when things weren’t all digital. That’s what he loves about the store, being able to hold and sell physical copies of the music from the past and to the present. For the moment, he found himself within one of the aisles, putting everything back in alphabetical order. That was until someone came up to him pulling him away from his task (which was honestly okay).
“Hm?” He hummed, “Oh, were you looking for something? Or had any questions?”
One of the things that Abigail loved was vinyl records. She collected them and played them while she read or did chores around the house. It was always a preferred way to listen to music. Going to the vinyl shop to find some more Nirvana records, the petite brunette ran a hand through her hair as she looked around. Maybe she was missing it, but she didn’t see anything. Which led her to walking up to one of the workers, giving a small smile as he spoke. “I was just wondering if you had any more Nirvana or maybe even Radiohead?”

Sofia: I can't wait for Halloween
Sofia: Finally a holiday that doesn't revolve around happy families
Sofia: And focuses on dressing slutty instead. Now that I can support...
Abbey: Girl, I totally understand. Any holiday that doesn't include family is my favorite holiday.

Career: NICU Nurse
tw: mental illness, bipolar disorder
Bio
Abbey was born in San Diego, California to a doctor and a shop owner. She’s the youngest of two girls.
Growing up, her mom was busy with the shop and her dad was always at the hospital, they had a nanny. The nanny soon became like a mother to Abigail, her own mother caring more about her work than her own kids.
At five, her dad got a job at USC as a professor in the medical school. Her mom decided to own a specialty shop that sells mainly Chanel. Her mother focusing on work more than anything else made Abbey resent her mom and Chanel.
Abbey was very intelligent. She graduated high school a year early, going to USC to start her future in Nursing.
Graduating nursing school with honors, Abbey got a job in the NICU at a hospital here in SIlver Lake. Moving to Silver Lake was the adjutment that she needed and decided to buy a home and live with two yorkies.
The kids in the hospital was what keeps her going. She loves them as if they were her own, but she knows she would never be the best parent.
Personality
Abbey is very outspoken. She doesn’t care about what other people think and has no filter.
She’s only been in one serious relationship. It lasted three years and she fled in fear of getting married.
After that one relationship, she just has been hooking up with people, accepting the fact that all people want from her is sex
She was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and is medicated for it. She still has highs and lows, but they are more controlled.
