I take it back I think using Krita for gifs of pixel art particularly is very fraught. It's spat out some weird results. Sometimes transparency works and sometimes it doesn't, it's harder to modify. It's just not really cut out for fine-tuning stuff like that.

Good to know what the limits are.

I think it's alright. It's a bit more weird when you throw animation into the mix, but it's workable.

ok I think the one thing that really kills me is that there's no setting to turn off anti-aliasing for pixel fonts, so scaling things down just makes them look like ass.

this is probably worth knowing - I wasn't sure how the game over screen text is triggered in Friendship Test, but it looks like it's been hard-coded; that is to say, whenever you get a cutscene it's because it was written to trigger during a game over in a certain phase in a certain fight rather than at random or under other conditions.

I don't think it's been documented already so I'll be working on compiling it all, possibly both in text format and video format (Silvio finds a machine with a TTS voice cute what else is new) and also probably worth adding to the wiki too.

I feel like the thing thats really different about the polish trans experience is that because the language is heavily gendered and asking about a persons gender is very much not normalized, now that my body looks mostly androgynous people started referring to me with grammatical forms that have never been uttered by human tongue before. Last week a woman couldn’t decide what gender I was so after trying several she settled on speaking to me in plural and infinitive
