My classics teacher got us to put Odysseus on trial.
The charges were:
1: Criminal negligence leading to the deaths of 6 men (In the cave of Polyphemus- the prosecution decided those deaths were the ones Odysseus was most responsible for)
2: One count of breaking and entering (Also in the cave of Polyphemus)
3: One count of theft (Polyphemus)
4: Three counts of kidnapping (when he forced his men to leave the island of the Lotus eaters)
He was initially also charged with trespass and theft against the Cicones, and with adultery. These were dropped as the former was linked to the Trojan war and the latter was both debatable and not a crime.
It was overall very fun and chaotic. I was a barrister for the defence.
We also had people playing characters to be called as witnesses. The person playing Odysseus had to be told to stop lying while under oath (we all swore and Oath to Zeus Horkios).

The Mykonos Vase (675 BC) is a "funeraria phitos" (funerary vessel) decorated with relief scenes of the capture of the city of Troy. Greek soldiers are seen in windows and getting off the famous horse before starting the massacre of the city.

i knew we shouldn't have come to the club on catharsis night. everyone is weeping and wailing as their negative feelings are cleansed through vicarious emotional experience and it's really bringing the mood down, which is simultaneously bringing the mood up. plus all the fake blood from that production of the agamemnon is making it too slippery to dance
