Közi's cats in chronological order
Zaku (ザク) - male tabby cat
Adopted in 1997, közi introduced him in the first edition of the Ma Cherie fanclub. He passed away in 2009 (i'm pretty sure it was due to sickness, but I don't have any source for it so...)
Lala (ララ) - female gray tabby cat
Adopted in 1997, passed away in 2015.
Zeon (ヂヲン) - male tabby cat
Adopted in 2013. He is still alive to this day.
Duke (ヂーク) - male black and white cat
Adopted in 2015, passed away in 2023 due to sickness.
Hamon (ハモン) - female black and white cat
Adopted in 2024. Obviously she is still alive.
#they are all gundam references yes#except diek which may be from arc the lad but still a robot?#the way he messes with spelling though I can't be sure if he just wanted his two male cats to have the same character in their names#lalah and crowley hamon are both human women but still gundam!

Christ, I didn't even know they released a DVD with Acid Black Christmas on it back in 2017, I guess I should get a copy before it's lost forever.
I was there, but all I really remember is that I was with my good friend, we played Mario Party on DS before the show started (cheered on by some guys in the seats around us) and that it was VERY COLD especially for the girls who decided to wear bikinis and nothing else.
I guess I'm a little conflicted because I want to remember how happy I was then, but it's also painful to look back on considering, well, everything that has happened since.
The person I was then probably wasn't as happy as she looks in hindsight, though. I don't know.

Hello there! This may be sudden or random, I think I might have reached out to a few years ago: but I wanted to ask, if you still perhaps your old translations for Janne Da Arc saved? I downloaded their entire discography when I was a teenager, and I think I still have most of the lyrics saved on my songs on iTunes: but while I used to use the Wayback Machine to view it using www.papersnow.net/kiku) but unfortunately, I think it's become broken on the wayback machine. I was just curious if you still had them and if it was possible to ask for them at all! Regardless, ty so much for everything, your lyrics genuinely helped make out a part of my childhood almost 20 years ago <3
Surprisingly to everyone, my livejournal appears to still be active and contains the majority of my old work (with paragraphs of long-winded bullshit that I don't know I would agree with over a decade later):
https://kikuko-kamimura.livejournal.com/memories/
Thank you for your kind words, I'm glad to know that my years of dedicated effort has lingered so long in people's minds. It at least makes it easier to not want to scrub all that cringe off the earth (and just leave it as it was to look on fondly instead of obsessively thinking I should make corrections with more experience).
I'm sure I probably still have everything on an old computer somewhere but for now that's most of it. I'm sure the newer ABC stuff is either here or somewhere easier to find, but all the Janne should be on Livejournal.

It's always unfortunate how few people know about The Tithenai Chronicles by Foz Meadows.
It's only two books (both of which are out NOW!)
It's a queer Byzantine-inspired fantasy about a gay prince from a land that Frowns on that Kind of Thing who ends up Politically Married to a man from a nation that is the opposite. In addition to Political Intrigue, it's also an incredibly poignant story about finding yourself, how trauma never really quite goes away, and the complicated feelings of guilt and mourning what you never got to have in your youth once you find your People/are allowed to live as who you are. I could NOT put it down.
If you see this you are obligated to tell me your favorite book/series you've read this year (totally not using this as a way to get more book recs)

I would even go so far to say there's a tactile element to paper books that is (probably) pleasing to our little monkey brains. Holding a book isn't the same experience as a device, turning a page isn't the same as hitting a button or touching a screen. Progressing through something page by page, watching it move from one side to the other as proof of our effort? It feels so much BETTER than "number go up". Just like how creating something is as much about the process as it is the end result--to those who well and truly love it and don't just see it as a race of how many pieces one can make in x time or who can sell what they've made for the highest price.

Ok look. I’m an Elder Millennial and I know we have our quirks but I honestly want to know something.
#left handed so i use the right one#putting the handle also to the right so it doesn't get hot or get in the way of stirring#but saucepan goes to the left with handle facing left so it doesn't intrude on the right#also probably because that's how my right handed mother taught me

“In the war film, a soldier can hold his buddy—as long as his buddy is dying on the battlefield. In the western, Butch Cassidy can wash the Sundance Kid’s naked flesh—as long as it is wounded. In the boxing film, a trainer can rub the well-developed torso and sinewy back of his protege—as long as it is bruised. In the crime film, a mob lieutenant can embrace his boss like a lover—as long as he is riddled with bullets.
Violence makes the homo-eroticism of many “male” genres invisible; it is a structural mechanism of plausible deniability.”
–Tarantino’s Incarnational Theology: Reservoir Dogs, Crucifixions, and Spectacular Violence. Kent L. Brintnall.
