okay so it seems there was some disinformation happening. the person pictured below saying hackers were getting personal information seems to be untrue. the dev has said the most they can do is crash ur game but they cannot access IP addresses or Steam account info. that being said, i do believe they can still get into lobbys and cannot be kicked but it seems the dev is working on a fix. it seems they were targeting mostly people who were streaming the game as well.

i'm not really sure the motivations of the person who was posting real time the incident that happened with the vshojo vtuber but pls do not go bothering the person in question, i just simply wanted to alert people before if there was a risk of people getting into a situation over a 5 dollar game and now i want to correct it so people can choose for themselves what they feel is safest in regards to playing the game rn or not.

ADHD sucks cos i can literally think about something one second and the next its entirely the furthest thing from my mind

but what sucks more is live service games with fomo mechanics. i'd much rather instead of bs daily grinding for free currencies, they give a weekly cap (that equates to same amount u would get daily for a week) so i could actually enjoy a game at my leisure instead of being burnt out forced to play a game daily and call it my 'game chores' but also feel bad about focusing on doing something i enjoy for a night bc i forgot my game chores for it and being devasted for missing another day of free emonies

i've had webfishing all of 3 days and have logged over 30 hours on it in that time. i've played an average of 10 hours a day on that silly game alskdjf help

i think some of y'all are missing the point of webfishing.

it's a nice, chill, cozy, relaxing game. it's not about having timed events and fomo content (i've seen people wanting holiday events, seasons would be cool or maybe dlc of holiday items but not EVENTS that don't last, i'm so tired of babysitting and keeping up with games/events/limited content)

it's not about copying animal crossing's features (i wouldn't mind bug catching cos it's fun and there's a lot of bugs around water but i've seen people wanting houses, flower breeding, npcs, mini-games etc but also there's the legality of copying another game, especially a nintendo owned game who are currently in a lawsuit for copying game mechanics)

the reason why it's doing so well is it's just. hanging out with friends. like how the internet used to be before everything was about keeping everyone's attention/engagement and monetizing everything. if u want it to have features that copy all kinds of other games (animal crossing, tabletop simulator, horror games etc) just GO PLAY. THOSE OTHER GAMES WITH UR FRIENDS. even saw someone asking for a FRIEND LIST. just ask the people in chat.. to add them on steam or discord or wherever u keep ur friends, why does the game need an in game friend list?

anyway. make suggestions about adding to the game what it already is instead of making a copy of another game. personally, i'd like some more fish, cosmetics, and buffs for summoning rain or boosting catch rate around friends. also, a mini-map and a auto-run option to save my pinky finger. someone also suggested a chalk board prop to put up around friends to draw near fishing spots which i thought was really cute

also. if i see another straight person whine about THE VERY GAY FISHING GAME i'm gonna bite ur face off, allegedly. i highly doubt the devs are doing to add a 'straight' title in the game. go cry about it.

i was just browsing one of the library apps i used to use since i got my library card renewed and can use them again and i was like ooh i wonder what art resources they have:

but it's just supposed to be 'tools' to help artists, right? literally making books (probably with a/i so idk how.. ur getting ANY valuable info from that or why u would wanna spend ur money on it but also shame on libraries for having anything like this in their stock) on how to 'get rich quick' using theft machines. yuck.
