ended up officially moving after all. that’s what happens when two capricorns share a goal; they get shit done 😂 thankful christmas is over. still so many boxes to empty, things to organize and figure out where shit’s gonna go. painting rooms to go. one day at a time.

there’s a ✨chance✨ i’ll be able to type up some replies tomorrow. i’ll be working from home BUT still got a shit ton to pack & take over to our new home on top of still needing to stain floors 😭

this whole week i’ve done nothing but go to work and deal with whiny men, then go to our new house to rip carpet, sand floors, stain hardwood, etc. so extremely exhausted and it’s only wednesday 😭 tomorrow we have my daughter’s pre-op appointment (she’s getting hip surgery beginning of january) in between work and home renovations 😭😭😭 we tired fam

Gently stepping around Hasani, Cassie took in a quick breath of air. While this was done to try and sort out her thoughts to properly explain her return, all Cassie got was the delicious scent of his cologne. It almost made her eyes roll back, lids fluttering shut to bask in the smell. But the sound of a patron putting coins in the jukebox and a small group of praising the song choice brought her back.

"I would love to," Cassie started as she began pouring his next drink. "But believe it or not, I'm a sober bartender. I'll still join you. My shift is almost done anyway." Once she placed the glass in front of her old friend, Cass beckoned for him to follow her to one of the booths toward the back.

As they settled in, Cassie gave him another once over, suddenly remembering all teh trouble they'd used to get in back in their high school days. "So, tell me, Hasani - what have you been getting yourself into lately?" If asked, Cassie would deny trying to avert the conversation away from her and her past. That information was not exactly her favorite thing to talk about. "I don't see a wedding band or a tan line. There's no way someone hasn't come and swooped you up yet."

A playful chuckle escaped his lips at her accusation though he knew she was just mocking him. “I would never - not in that sense anyway.” Hasani winked teasingly at Cassie; unable to fight the unique banter they’d once shared and apparently still possessed. “But seriously, Cas, you do look stunning. And I mean that honestly.” He leaned in to deepen the eye contact further, almost as if trying to say could these eyes lie? “What brought you back? If you don’t mind me asking.” It wasn’t like he wanted to be nosy but for some reason he thought he’d never see her here again and now there she was - living and breathing. Call it gut feeling but he was sure there must have been a pretty damn good reason for her to return.

“You guess? Well you didn’t get any better at making compliments, that’s for sure” Hasani teased jokingly, his eyes shifting towards his now empty drink before he nodded quickly. “Why not? But only if you’ll be my guest. What do you say, Cassie? Join me for the good old times?”

callum hid the smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as he closed the trash can, giving it a light pat to show wren the little pest was taken care of. "a poisonous spider?" a brow arched at the woman as his tongue swiped across his bottom lip. welp, we did it. we signed for our house. now comes the fun part of renovating our daughter’s room so we can move in ASAP. long and tedious process ahead but….IM OFFICIALLY A HOMEOWNER!!!
