Who Are the Copper-Colored Aboriginals?
Who Are the Copper-Colored Aboriginals?

Afro-Cuban Dance Detroit
Pics and video of me from this summerâs Afro-Cuban dance class taught by Mama Lisa, founder of Iyawo Folkloric Dance Theater here in Detroit. Overall for me it was a liberating experience for me, tapping deeper into my divine feminine and embracing my sensual side.
We started off every dance session with meditation, breathing exercise, and prayer honoring our ancestors and the healing motherâŠ

Really enjoyed myself last Friday with Mama Ravin at the Winter Solstice Celebration hosted by the American Indian Health and Family Services. Very amazing experience and connected with some good-hearted people. The energy was empowering and healing as we set our intentions for the winter solstice and the full moon in Cancer. Iâm also loving my new shaman drum that I purchased from a man for only $60!

Ganhadeiras of Terreiro Dendezeiro (Sao Pedro, Bahia)
Ganhadeiras of Terreiro Dendezeiro (Sao Pedro, Bahia)
Terreiro Dendezeiro in Sao Pedro, Bahia(Note: I use the terms âBlackâ and âslaveâ loosely. I am aware that they are misnomers, however Iâm writing from the perspective of the academic sources Iâm referencing. Thank You!)
Ganhadeiras were women who worked in the ganho system (âearning systemâ) in Salvador (Bahia), Brazil. They mainly sold food items and worked other domestic job roles such asâŠ

My Cleanse with Chris & Crys Spiritual Concierge
My Cleanse with Chris & Crys Spiritual Concierge
This video is a testimonial of my experience with Detroitâs top shamanistas, Chrishara and her sister Crystle. I got a spiritual cleanse done to remove toxic entities from my aura. What I forgot to mention in the video is during the cleanse I hacked up a lot of phlegm and that I came to the conclusion that my granny was my gateâŠ

Broken Mirrors: Shattering Illusions
Broken Mirrors: Shattering Illusions
In the past few years Iâve shattered the illusion of politics realizing the power needed for change and liberation was within. Iâve shattered the illusion of organized religion and in place adopted universal laws and principles. I shattered the illusion of pharmaceuticals, seeing now that I can heal myself and that lives foods combined with the power of the Most High are my medicine. I shatteredâŠ

Last weekendâs Afro-Herbalism class was amazing! We tasted and took home samples of these ashwagandha droplets. Ashwagandha is an herb thatâs good for balancing the body, supporting the brain and nervous system. So if you have high anxiety, depression, sleeping problems, or any other nervous-related issues, this is said to help. When I tell you this herb is sooo potent! I took a few drops and I was instantly relaxed. We also tasted a lemongrass simple syrup and raw sassafras root as a sassafras decoction. Sassafras has long been used by our ancestors as a blood cleanser. So if you have high blood sugar or other toxins in your blood, sassafras is a go-to herb! đżđđș

Mr. Red's "High Sugar" Cocktail #Afro-Herbalism
Mr. Redâs âHigh Sugarâ Cocktail #Afro-Herbalism
In the past 2 months Iâve been going to a monthly Afro-Herbalism course at Exhalation Integrative Wellness here in Detroit, taugth by Dr. Karla Mitchell, ND., on the track to becoming a certified herbalist (ND). Hereâs a herbal recipe that I learned from my class last Saturday that treats high sugar (diabetes). This recipe was recorded in an interview in 1938, out of the WPA slave narrativeâŠ
