“And I’m Katie Killjoy. That’s right folks, I’m back from vacation after that freak accident with the rabbit. While Tom was in the studio sitting on his ass, yours truly went into the field to get you an exclusive sneak peak at the happenings of one hellish masquerade ball.”

“No Katie, I was there too.”

“Heh? You could have fooled me Tom. An extensive list of guest ranging from Deadly sins to heavenly royalty to sinners were spotted at the event.”

“Why yes Katie. Leviathan opened access to the Court of Envy to practically anyone for their auction event where a painting, a sackbut and a dance was auctioned off to the highest bidder”

“The auction was quickly followed by two spider demons getting frisky on the dance floor. A sinner was shot to death, an Angel was kidnapped and Leviathan has a weird rubber chicken fetish. Am I missing anything Tom?”

Tom raises their hand and opens their mouth to begin speaking. Killjoy cuts them off.

“Well there you have it folks. Tune in next time for an interview with Lusts very own embodiment, Ass-modius.”

She looks down at the heart shaped card in disgust.

Katie pats Asmodius on the chest and walks away leaving him to wonder what she meant by that.

~The Dance~

Leviathan stands from their throne. Behind them servants move Leviathan’s throne and the waterfall behind it splits open revealing grand doors wide enough to fit a crowd through.

“Congratulations to the auction winners and thank you to those who donated, Emily the seraphim for the sackbut that you won back so… valiantly, and Asmodeus for your best dancer! Payment will be accepted through the clerk of the court and then the first dance will commence! Please, enjoy the open bar and hors d’oeuvres, they’re special treats sent in from Gluttony and Wrath. May tonight bring you everything you want and nothing you deserve!”

Leviathan spins, his dress twirling behind him as he makes his way through the split falls and enters through doors as they open, as if parting solely for him.

On the other side of the threshold is the ballroom. A simple platform is set with a chair where the first dance will commence, though few notice. Many looking to the ceiling, an ocean in the sky filled with bioluminescence swirling above the crowd.

“Hit it DJ Slime!”

Killjoy pulls her mask on a stick down from her face to get a better look at Asmodius.

Tell you what, I’ll tell you all about the little shit storm at the station if you give me an interview. Deal?

Killjoy flashes her press badge to Karen. Karen, frankly not giving a shit, let’s Katie walk in with her stolen invitation.

“Well that was easy!”

Killjoy takes note of guests at the party angels, demons, winners and sinners and starts thinking about her next News Conference. She knows one thing for sure, this will be ground breaking.

As you step forth into the large arch of the entry door for the Court of Envy, you hear a loud man from a bus pulling in.

“EY! Thanks for riding the Ernest party bus™️! This is you. I’ll be going back and forth all night so I’ll catch you when I see you. Don’t forget to tip your driver.”

A crowd of sinners stumble out of the party bus and begin their ascent to the front door with invitations in hand. Karen, the clerk of the court, stands at the door with a clipboard.

“Invitation?” She says in an apathetic, monotone voice. You hand her the black card. “Welcome to the court of envy… we’re so glad you could make it…” she says in a rehearsed, raspy manner tilting her head slightly to the side. “NEXT!”

As you enter the palace there is a hallway ((first image shown)) where you are able to hand off your coat and personal effects. As you glide eagerly through the palace, you are able to follow signs pointing to a large room ((second image shown)) where you are able to begin mingling freely.

Katie looks up from her slot machine to see an intern holding a small stolen invitation.

Killjoy cashed out her machine and stands.

Vox raises a brow but can't help but smile. While Katie's... mercurial attitude was good for viral clips, Tom's dedication to the craft kept 666 news somewhat focused on the news. But, that little twink had a habit of being a bit... thirsty.

He sets the flowers down on his desk and pulls up his calendar. Yeah... he can do lunch...

He sits at his desk and quickly pulls up a restaurant he's been meaning to try- it's always good to keep an eye on nice places popping up in the Pride Ring. He makes a reservation, then forwards the details to Tom.

Now cautious of the many cameras around her, she refrains from fully shifting into her demonic form. Cracking can still be heard throughout the studio as she seethes.

Firstly, boss… she stands from her seat.

You asked ME for an interview with the understanding that I would provide ratings and boost your little show. Did I not deliver?

Tom watches as he sips on his coffee.

Secondly, calling smiles and putting the radio demons number on the air was a stroke of genius for this station. This type of content is exactly what the sinners and hellions of Pride look forward to when they tune in to our show. Who would I be if I didn’t deliver? I’m doing my JOB.

Tom backs away slowly from the desk as Katie inches closer to Vox.
