Idk why but I feel like I have to start with the basics.
There's no rules here. I'm making them up.
But it feels like a place to start.
Soooooo. Astrology is basically taking a map of the sky and interpreting it to apply to real life. To me. In my head this is what I'm doing.
I'm looking at that big circle and making judgements on the weather. You know folks have a tendency to be somewhat predictable. So I look at how what they've got interacts with what I've got or what's going on.
I find that I like to read from 1-12. I realized after a few readings this is kind of like reading the chart backwards. It was taught to me like this but I think that I am already making adjustments to my technique.
For anyone who wonders why the map is a big circle. That's because it is the earth. And the placements of the planets is not so much where they are in reference to the sun but more in reference to where they project when you are looking up at them from earth.
I use placedus for this reason and not whole sign. Idk it's what makes sense to me. I don't have a need to dictate what others do. Use whole sign if it's easier for you.
On the map. Your ascendant is the horizon of the sky outside when you were born. That's a straight line and the map is a circle so it cuts the circle in half. When it's daytime. The sun passes through the houses 12-7 in backward order.
Once the sun has passed over the horizon it's set. Well you're still in the same place so when the sun passes through 6-1 it's night time.
Where is the sun when you were born? This is what people are referring to when they say day chart or night chart.
I myself have a night chart. I was born at 9:14 pm. Most of my native specific planets are concentrated in my 5th house.

I've been experiencing a transit of Jupiter in my 9th house.
The 9th house is the house of travel expanding horizons and higher learning sometimes even religion.
I'm definitely going through a time where I am learning a lot of things new but it's so unexpected how it's turning out.
This blog is a part of that transit. As I have been studying astrology for the past few years and just recently realized that it's a real interest of mine and so many of my astrology related ideas were bouncing around in my head.
So hopefully this will be a nice place to air them out.
A toast to higher learning 🥂

The Sun is in ♉
The moon is in ♌
Today is the day of the Uranus cazimi. A Cazimi is when a planet temporarily receives the dignity of the sun as it appears to cross the over the sun on our charts. The energy of the planet is amplified.
This morning I woke up with inspiration. I think that I had a dream I was throwing a huge party. Now determined to make that happen I have been looking for whatever small steps will lead to a splash.
This is a day for trailblazing and making a difference. Don't be afraid to dream.
The cazimi is accompanied by Venus and Jupiter's energies. Making something quite dramatic and beautiful. Inspiration is piqued and cycles are renewing.
I'm finding in my life that as things change sometimes it brings us back around. As many things as I've tried. I'll keep trying.
