Ok. I think it’s time we talked. About Uranium.

You see I actually know a thing or two about it. I love science. And the idea that rottmnt Donatello, can’t get any. Well… you can BUT it. And get more for your buck than you may assume. And it isn’t as dangerous as you think! (I’m not mad, I swear!) But! It IS a great, powerful source of energy.

Uranium comes in rock, and powder, yes powder. Uranium glassware that glows if you’re feeling fancy.

So we need to ask. Can Rise Donnie convert it, the price, and can he get enough of it?

First. Donnie is primarily an engineer. Plus he has a love for botany. BUT! He has stated “Geology stinks”. It’s a boring science to him. And we neurodiverse folks can’t focus on and forget things we aren’t interested in. So? He’s SMART! Surely he could get past this hurdle for something he’s clearly passionate about right?

What’s more, conversion is chemistry. Well we don’t see him so much of chemistry either. But! It is implied with the deleted episode where he was submitting a giant pumpkin into a contest, that he modified it. And THAT’S chemistry. So we’ll file this into “very likely”. Even if there was a LARGE chance it was gonna grow a mouth and attack everyone…

So. The price. US citizens are only allowed to legally purchase up to 3.3 pounds of uranium, and have a limited amount they can own. But for a low $50-100! You TOO! Can get a box of rocks!

Perhaps this is a main reason why he started his secret Stark tech company, WITH an apparel line! Considering he was counting a heap of cash. I think he was doing well off it. (Though perhaps he was struggling with it after Shredder wrecked the lab.) Plus with SHELLDON shown stealing from ATMs apparently being a thing. I don’t think money is an issue.

(Though considering he “didn’t have money” to give to Mantis, he could a. Been hiding his money so his bros wouldn’t find out/also not give a villain money. B. His company isn’t accessible to the public (yet?) and he actually stole it from an ATM or something.)

So. Can he get enough for what he needs? He probably needs a lot of it right?

The thing is. Uranium is abundant. REALLY abundant. You can mine for it yourself. So, surely a “reasonable” demand to ask for!

But perhaps this is why he spent so much time, and effort on a giant … drill.

So I can only conclude that: Donnie is banned from uranium by his family. “It’s not as dangerous as you think!” He shouts. But woe is the mad scientist with questionable intentions!

(Imagine him begging Leo to use his sword to teleport him to a mine. Pfft!)

And so, he’s been slowly, slowly, collecting uranium samples. Has him hidden away. Changing his information every time to hide his intentions from the FBI and government. While developing ways on mining it himself.

There’s literally no excuse for Donnie not to get his hands on uranium. It’s not a matter of IF. Just WHEN. He will get his hands on uranium.

So WHAT. Is his first use for this? Perhaps… a titanium Ironman suit fueled by a miniature nuclear reactor!

Donnie liked to tell everyone that he had gotten over his childish jealously. He would no longer stoop down to Casey’s level of petty fighting and name calling.

Now he just stared. From a distance. And bit on his pen. Because why in the world would you ever ask Casey Jones for help in math?

And you two were both in his lab. At least let him live in ignorance. But no. You two decided to be studying right here, right when he was in the same room.

He had to be in an alternate universe. There was no way this was real. He finally tore his gaze away.

He tried to focus on his own stuff but then you two had the audacity to laugh. He bit onto his pen a little too harshly this time and it burst, sending ink flying. He grimaced, looking at the black ink on his arms and chest.

He slowly got up and walked away, sending you two a withering glare. You blinked up at him innocently and his cold behavior melted immediately. Of course it wasn’t your fault he had exploded his pen… Casey on the other hand…

You followed him into the bathroom and wet a rag to wipe away the mess, frowning up at him curiously.

“How’d you manage this?”

“I was biting on a pen…” He muttered, a little embarrassed but way more pleased that you had followed him here instead of staying with Casey.

“You didn’t get it in your mouth, did you?”

“No.” He leaned into the hand that cupped his cheek worriedly.

“Anyways…” You continued. “Can you help me with my math later? Casey has no idea what he’s doing.”

He was unable to hold back a pleased churr at that.

Long day of commission work today. Feelin a tad drained. Have some doodles I did based off some ideas @alwerakoo and I were kicking around a while back.

Raph shows April his talent for pigeon whispering. In doing so, he finds out how insecure April is about her growing powers.

April and Raph go fishing in the creek outside the farmhouse, because… what can I say, they get shit done.

In short, wish we had more sibling bonding between April and the other turtles in the 2012 show.

Anyhoo sorry for bothering on such busy days (new years and all that) but I was wondering if you could write rottmnt boys x reader (separately😓) who writes them “anonymous” love letters?? Reader thinks they are super mysterious and secretive but the turtles have known from the beginning its them but just chose to stay quiet ^_^

Raph never tells you that he knows it’s you. He doesn’t want you to stop writing them. He loves them and keeps them safely tucked into a cardboard box so he can reread them whenever he wants. He always makes sure to hug you extra tight the next time he sees you.

He also likes how you shyly glance at him whenever he picks up a letter. And how you get all awkward around him afterward.

Leo tapes all of them to the walls of his room and even makes you read them out loud to him. You’re very suspicious that he knows but he always tells you that he doesn’t. He even decides to frame some of them.

Every time he gets a new one, he dances around the lair and shoves the letter into his family’s faces, just to rub it in. He also enjoys how embarrassed you get over it.

Donnie has no idea how you forgot about the cameras he had placed everywhere, but you somehow managed to. Of course he knows it was you who left him a letter every few months.

He never mentions it to you, you never mention it to him. Of course he keeps all of them. He makes digital copies of each one and safely files them away into the folder he has that is solely for you. It’s not creepy. He swears.

Mikey is overjoyed each time he gets them. He’ll try and do something nice for you each time he gets one, just so he doesn’t feel too guilty. He tries not to be too obvious about it either, but you somewhat catch on when he sends you secret flowers a day after writing him a heartfelt letter.

He’s all gooey and sweet to you after he reads one too, but when you get embarrassed at the chance that he might know it’s you and stop writing them, he gets all depressed. You two slowly develop a balance of ‘secretly’ sending each other stuff.

When he met you and started catching feelings for you, Raphael was lowkey insecure you'd prefer any of his brothers over him. Seriously - a pretty, kind, funny girl like you? He was sure you'd sooner fall for a human Prince Charming, and if you ever were to fall for a mutant, surely you'd go for the leader or the brains, or the funny guy.

Still, you surprised him by falling for him the way he'd fallen for you.

Raphael will always remember when you mutually confessed, mainly because he mentioned all the previous points to him and you still admitted to being in love with him. The cherry on top of the sundae was when he looked you dead in the eyes with a sly little smirk, his voice real low.

"Are you sure there's nothing wrong with you?" He asked you, and in response, you playfully rolled your eyes and broke out laughing. All Raphael could do was laugh too, and he pulled you in for a tight hug, gently brushing your cheek as you laughed.

Even months into the relationship, Raphael still looks at you like he can't fully believe you're with him, but it's more of a happy, grateful sort of disbelief.

He really does thank for you every day.

Raphael loves picking you up whenever he can - his strength and size are undeniably some of his greatest assets, and he knows you like that about him.

He'll pick you up to sit you down on his shoulder, or fling you over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes whenever you're alone and he's feeling particularly playful - he just loves the way you yelp and giggle when he does that. It really gets him going 👀

As for PDA, he likes to be sneaky. Raphael will brush his hand over your thigh or past your bottom whenever he gets a chance and no one's looking.

Raphael also loves showing off for you and won't lose an opportunity to lift something really heavy or train in front of you.

That being said, his brothers very quickly pick up on his habit of showing off for you and respond in one of two ways: they either facilitate things for Raph to show off properly, or they'll make it harder for him to do whatever it was he wanted to do. However the brothers will react depends on absolutely nothing and Raph has no way of predicting if they'll choose chaos, so after a few months, he tries to show off when they aren't around.

But you're a little force of chaos yourself - one of the many things Raphael loves about you - and pretty soon, you two think like one mind when it comes to teasing and playing pranks on the other turtles. Raphael lives for every smirk shared between you two whenever you successfully tease or prank someone, especially if it's Leonardo who, one time, literally said out loud, "Great, now there's two of them."

And Raphael loves doing pushups with you sitting on his shell.

One time, Raphael convinced you to hug and cling to him while he did pull-ups. Let's just say a very heated make-out followed that training session.

And his favorite part of any workout with you is, you guessed it - the post-workout shower 👀

Amazing at cuddles. Raph is the cuddle master. Always the big spoon, always holding you close where he can protect you and feel how warm and soft you are.

And you have absolutely made Raphael's anger levels go down, according to, well, everyone.

He's still a hothead, but being around him in general feels... calmer? No one really knows how to describe it, but Raph's entire family credits you for how much Raph has grown in the months you've been together.

Finally, as everyone expected, he is a huge softie, and he loves it when you call him that. The cuddling alone speaks for itself, from the way he holds you close to how gentle his normally gruff voice sounds when he's alone with you in his room.

He's also very big on nicknames, to no one's surprise.

The night was quieter than usual, and with the overall peace that surrounded you, you were all but falling asleep. Safe and warm and supported by a strong pair of arms, you were sure that your half-shelled boyfriend was infinitely more comfortable to be pressed against than any mattress. The sound of Raphael's breathing was quickly lulling you into slumber, but before you succumbed entirely to your dreams, a low and deep vibration emanated from him - he appeared to be laughing, and the sound of his laughter would always make you stand alert, expectant of only the best things you'd known in your life.

When you looked up at Raph, your eyes squinted at him, but they held no annoyance despite the fact that your sleep had been interrupted. When Raph saw he'd woken you, his embrace around you tightened, pronouncing an "Aww" that sounded unbelievably gentle in his husky voice.

"Sorry to wake you, doll," Raphael said, his voice hushed.

You shook your head in denial and shifted your position so that you were now facing him, and you snuggled even closer into his figure. "Don't apologize. Why did you laugh?"

Raphael smirked even if you couldn't see him in your current position. "Just thinkin'."

"'Bout what?" You mumbled into his chest.

Raphael chuckled again. "You're adorable, doll."

You looked up at him again. "That's it?"

"Yeah," Raphael answered.

"Seriously, that's it?" You raised a brow.

"Fine, don't believe me," he playfully dismissed.

You giggled and snuggled into him again. "Oh, I believe you. Ya big softie."

Raphael gave another laugh, this one arguably heartier than the last. "You're never gonna stop callin' me that, are ya?"

"Not as long as you have me here," you stated.

"Well, there's my answer," he said with a hint of peace in his voice, prompting you to look up at him yet again.

"Oh?" You beckoned.

"Well, in case you haven't noticed, doll, I like havin' you here," Raphael's voice hushed again - it was when his voice got that tone that you knew he truly meant what he was saying, but more importantly, that what he wasn't saying was also out of the sheerest adoration for you.

"Well, that's good," you said quietly, running your hand gently up his bicep. "Because I like being here with you, too. I feel warm here, safe. Protected."

The words you spoke seemed to stroke at Raphael's most primal instincts, those that wanted to keep you far away from all harm and to hold you dear and close for as long as he could possibly survive. He brought you in even closer, tightening his arms around you in a manner so careful - part of him feared he'd squeeze you too tight one day.

"Oh, I'll always protect you, baby doll," Raphael said quietly. "You know it."

You giggled into him again. "I do."

For a few seconds, you and Raph enjoyed each other's company in silence, until you decided to break it again.

"Big softie," you mumbled, earning another chuckle from him.

You lived for those moments with him.

It had been terrible.

Everything went wrong since the moment you awoke. Just remembering it was bringing you a headache.

You massage your forehead trying to soothe the pain a bit. 

It didn’t help that these past few weeks haven’t been any easier, clearly life decided it suddenly wanted to be funny and honestly, you were so sick of its jokes.

But, even though this was all on your plate, you knew that wasn’t the real reason for your current mood. 

It actually had to do with a certain someone.  

Worst part is, this certain someone, is non other your turtle boyfriend.

I mean, you always tried to be understanding. Knowing that sometimes he needs his space and just won’t be able to talk everyday, that’s totally okay with you. 

but him not even responding and leaving you on read when you need his support !?

now that’s a different story 

You’ve tried being reasonable, after all, he is someone of logic who will act accordingly. But this had been different.

he just suddenly decide that ghosting you was the best solution !? 

Now, you had been patient with him. But it’s been two whole months, and you still haven’t seen or heard from him once ! 

And you knew there wasn’t anything particularly wrong. You had been keeping contact with his whole family to make sure he was alright. 

In fact, they didn’t understand his actions any better than you did. 

And when it finally hit three months you decided you waited enough. 

On your way there you messaged April that you’d get in a few minutes, and she confirmed that Donnie was there.

The whole family had a group chat without you or Don so they could usually gossip about y’alls dates and stuff. Though these past few months it’s mainly been used to try to figure out what’s going on.

“Why are you all typing suspiciously on your phones at the same time?” 

Snapping the things off and quickly repositioning themselves in the most normal poses. “What are you talking about Don??? We weren’t on our phones.” Leo strains a smile as the sweat drops from his head 

“Yes, and i don’t have eyes. Don’t lie to me Nardo, it’s not funny.” Offended a bit that they were clearlylying to his face. 

Yet the only thing they could think of was buying you more time. They knew nothing was going to improve if these two didn’t speak to each other.

And at that, leo got an idea. 

“Nardo why are you looking at me like that?”  Questioning as his twin goes near him making him back up a bit. “What do ya mean Donnie, I ain’t doing nothing.”

He squints at his brother in distrust, knowing that smirk on his face. “Nardo, what ever you are planning i suggest you refrain this insistence.” 

Leo shrugs but not before striking to open a portal right under him, trapping him as he falls into a confined room.

“Sorry Dee, but trust us ! You both need this !” And the portal closed.

What was his brother thinking?! And what in the world did he mean by both? As far as he can see, he’s the only one in the room.

Well at least he has his phone. 

He kept spamming his family messages, yet wherever leo left him had the absolute worst signal. 

Honestly he was already planning his twin’s murder as he played some offline mobile game.

It wasn’t tell he saw the portal up again he stood up ready to give his brother and earful of his anger. 

“Nardo you crossed the line.” His nose scrunching a bit, “you won’t get away with this.”

But leo never came out the other side.

Instead he was shocked to see the person he hope he never saw again. 

You came through, and the portal closed behind.

All his emotions crashed as reality wrapped around his throat, preventing him to reach out or say anything.

That look on your face was harsh and cold. A lot more empty and tired than what he remembered. 

“What’s wrong Dee? Didn’t like my surprise.” You taunted him. He had expected your attitude, but it still hurt seeing how much you changed because of him. he didn’t plan on seeing you again this way. 

but, maybe you were right,…. maybe it was too late to save anything.

what if theres a universe where the reader is the fictional superhero the turtles are huge fans of? or maybe readers just amazed that the ninja turtles are freakin real?? like 'oh hey i know everything abt you guys...so...ya reckon that portal will open up again sometime soon or..?'
