The new era of leadership: Induction ceremony of new University Student Officials a night of Socialization
"A great person attracts great people and knows how to hold them together."Stepping into a path of unknown, being mesmerized by the shadows of creativity as the new faces glistens with the purity of their beauty.
Last November 3, my school, Western Mindanao State University-Pagadian Campus, held an event. It was the oath-taking turn-over ceremony and socialization night. Oath taking a way of promising oneself to support a cause or an entity by the new USC officials. The event started at 5:30 PM and continued until 12 AM. The night was fun; many contests were prepared by the new elected USC officials. The old USC appointees were given an award for their hardworks.
All students' were mandated to join the event and wear clothes in the shades of black and white, but if they wanted to portray a character, any color would do. I wore a simple black jump skirt paired with a white long-sleeve off-shoulder top.
Students' flaunted their wonderful costumes prepared with their creative imaginations. Their beauty sparkles as they walk with elegance and confidence on the red carpet. Representatives from each department participated in each contest. Pop dance, horror story telling, singing, and horror movie trailer, skills from the students we're showcased.
The night of the oath-taking and the turn-over ceremony of the new USC officials were other highlights of the event. In a speech, the late USC president expressed gratitude to his supporters for helping him managed the school all year long. Socialization began following the competitions and prize presentations. The socialization process resembled a disco; the students got excited and started dancing with each other, fun and enjoyment plastered in each faces.
Colorful lights made the night wild. It only last more than half an hour before the celebration ended. I signed for the attendance and left right away, not waiting for it to end. I enjoyed the event and realized how talented the students were, especially our seniors.
In conclusion the oath-taking turn-over ceremony and socialization night was a celebration of success of the new elected officials, meeting new people and exhibition of creativity and talents. The night was full of fun and big laughter's from each and everyone.
A night to remember!!!
