my first long term job was cashiering at Kroger for 2 years. there was a Hardee's right across the street that I would frequent after work. after a shift one day, I was at the drive thru and the worker at the window asked me how I was doing. I responded with "I'm doing good, did you find everything all right today?"

I worked with toddlers and pre schoolers for three years. Sometimes I accidentally slip and tell a friend to say bye to an inanimate object (“say bye bus!”) & occasionally they unthinkingly just do it.
