Goodbye Charlotte! We had a great 4 days here! Daddy not so much, we are putting our Prius on a cargo truck & flying home! That spider bite is too bad to travel! Poor daddy! Be home in 24 hours!

Today we had fun at Carowinds, but we got rained out at 5, stayed until 6:30, but the thunder & lightning wouldn't stop!

Yesterday was JW's 9th Birthday! It didn't turn out exactly like he wanted due to our arrival in Charlotte and Bill's Quick Care visit. We did manage to find him some NY Pizza and a bounce place to bounce in in the evening! Today we are headed to Defying Gravity which is what he wanted to do last night.

Spider Bite!

Ripley's believe it or not...Bill got bit by a spider on his ass, yes you read that correctly! It became an abscess, and now he has to lie in bed for the next 48 hours to avoid further infection! He even needed sutures! He's hanging in there but the pain is unbearable!

Took the Honey Island Swamp Tour today! It was fantastic! An hour and forty-five minute tour so we saw plenty of the bayou and lots of gators!

Checked into The Waldorf Astoria! It's 7:33 p.m. and nobody is swimming here! JW has the whole pool to himself! My sunburn hurts to much to go in this very warm pool! 😭

We stayed at the hotel pool to relax from all our site seeing this week. I got burnt like a lobster because I only use #15 Coppertone, & my higher sunscreen was left in the car! Two thunderstorms on both nights that pales Buffalo Thinderstorms, and in that one really cool pic, the camera somehow captured 1/2 of the sky as it lit up! Breakfast served up waffles to remind us where we were. I wonder if they do this for all the states at La Quinta Inns?
