ugh so I think I need to start over with this draft.

it's been festering for too many years now and my perspective on the story has shifted. I think trying to work with what I've written is going to get me nowhere.

but how does one start from scratch rewriting what one has already written (poorly) 🤔

this story continues to baffle me. the are words coming out, yes, but I have no idea if they're good or if the narrative flows and makes sense or if any of this is even readable.

still, I've struggled with it for so many years at this point that I think just getting a whole draft done is the only option now. I can't edit the living daylights out of it until it actually exists. then we'll really know what we're working with.
