I keep forgetting to post on Tumblr, but Chapter 32 of The Death of the Phoenix is up!

Zuko wakes up (literally), Huang takes a leap of faith, and the Fire Siblings get a fairly unsettling letter. Quite a long chapter as we buid towards a pair of high points in both the Ba Sing Se and the Fire Sibs arcs!

So I was productive for once and actually wrote for a fair bit! Here's chapter 31 of The Death of the Phoenix, in which the Fire Siblings make a mad dash, Zuko has a breakthrough, and Iroh meets a certain someone.

Hi! I'm back after an 8 months-long hiatus.

It's the first drawing I've made in 8 months too. I struggled a lot for a result far from perfect but I wanted to train myself with comics-writing.

It's a part of chapter 14, Book 2 of my fic, Black Sun or the Taste of Ashes. For context: *Spoiler* : the Fire Siblings are lost in the Forgetful Valley for several days and starting to despair of finding a way out. Zuko wakes up from a...hum... sexy dream, involving his sister, and since he woke her up, they go for a little chat with a LOT of tenderness and a LOT of unresolved zucest tension! *Spoiler end*

It's only handmade, I added a blue filter on the complete board to create a night atmosphere, but in details, you can see the original work.

I forgot to post it on here, but I put up Chapter 30 of The Death of Phoenix a few days ago! I can hardly believe I've posted thirty of these already, and I'm still going (mostly) strong!

The reception has been wonderful and really helped me when I'm down. I'm glad so many people seem to enjoy the outlandish ideas that wouldn't leave my head and I eventually decided to write down.

Iroh and Appa travel to Ba Sing Se looking for Aang, we meet Kuei and someone who might be special to Huang, and Azula and Zuko bicker and are also so in love and in denial about it they're frankly sickening.

I went back and forth on a few scenes for this chapter, but was ultimately pretty happy with the end result. Iroh is a fairly central character in this chapter (he is the main secondary character) and the Fire Siblings get to experience a few new things!

(the most boring headcanon. Yes, Katara's writing in tlok was bad, it has a LOT of flaws and many times she was forgotten (like the rest of the gaang, i have a lot to say about Sokka, Suki, Toph and yes even Aang) but when and how she was reduced to "Aang's wife"? She was never treated as the "avatar's wife" and they didn't have a single scene together in that series. Stop imagining things 🤦‍♂️)

Here's Chapter 27 of The Death of the Phoenix! I love that I'm getting to write interactions between characters that didn't come across each other in canon at all.

(Also, we're 260k words in and both sides of the main ship haven't even realized they're in love yet. I accept any anger towards me for writing a story that truly needs such a slow pace in order to work!)

Here's Chapter 26 of The Death of the Phoenix, "Anger, Shame, Adoration". Zuko has a radical realization, the Fire Siblings come across a village, and Aang reaches Ba Sing Se.

This chapter went longer than I expected, but I just kept writing and it came out quite well! Hope you all enjoy it.
