A few years ago, I discovered that our gas company had a database of their customers- my brother had a job interview and was curious about what it said about us.

We were rated as pleasant, owning a dog that barked at strangers but not for long. Plus the details of prior issues, make and models etc, but knowing the company warns their employees about things like that makes me pleased, but also I want to keep up our good reputation.

Like, I'd never be rude to someone in general, but I'm a little more conscious about bribing the dog into quiet and offering cups of tea, because we have a good rating as customers and I'm not going to be the one to mess it up.

Not just the gas company- any tradesman who comes in the house.

The window cleaners are a lost cause though- the dog freaks out at them whenever they appear. All we can do is have the money ready to go and smile brightly as we apologise for the noise.

This has got to be where the stolen tools from all the van theft crime that's going on. I really don't know how the thieves sleep at night with the crime career they have chosen.

  Like many other tradespeople, I have been a victim of van theft. Although I have upgraded the van security after the 1st time. 

There are tried and tested methods to keeping your van secure, van deadlocks are one of the things I will always put on my vans from now on.
