That was exactly the ending I wanted!
No one from the Batch died, even if there were some scares along the way. (Well, Hemlock and Rampart were killed, but I’m not that sad about it. Nala Se went out in an honorable fashion.)
The surviving clones and the kids are safe and get to live peaceful lives.
The Batch got to settle down and live a happy life on Pabu.
You know Wrecker finally got to fish full-time, like he was meant to do. After being a big bruiser for so long, he’s finally able to be somewhere his strength can be used to build, not destroy.
Crosshair gets to figure out who he is without his shooting hand, which is honestly the healthiest thing for him. He’s able to heal!
Echo is continuing his work for the clones. (Emerie is going with him as his adopted daughter sister and ally.)
We get to see a grown Omega choosing to leave to help the Rebellion, to help people. She’s going to be a pilot, and she took Tech’s goggles with her as a momento and as a token of good luck. (Not me getting teary and happy at her red headband.)
Also, big shoutout to Gonky for still being around and being a delight.
Older Hunter has a beard and a ponytail. (Hunter girlies, go off and thirst! He aged like fine wine.)
Hunter and Omega end this series being the emotional core connection that we’ve seen from the beginning. Yes, it’s sad to see her leave Pabu, but she’s got another fight in her. Hunter respects that.
And Batcher, of course, is always the best dog!
That ending, while bittersweet, was satisfying as fuck.
It also leaves open the possibility that the surviving members of the Batch (Echo included) fought with Rex to overthrow the Empire during the time of the OT. (That fits Sabine’s narration at the end of Rebels when she mentions clones (plural) fighting with Rex. At that point, the only other surviving Seelos Squad member was Wolffe, so the other clones had to come from somewhere.)
Anyway, the Bad Batch ended so well. I’m teary and very satisfied.

Something I really loved about the finale was Omega, Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, and Echo saving each other. It wasn’t just her saving the boys or vice versa, but all of them fighting for each other and the future they wanted.

A thought on Pabu:
I just realized something I haven’t seen anyone else comment on about the Batch all still living on Pabu in the epilogue.
1. It’s obvious that they helped build up and reinforce all of the dwellings and security measures on the island over the years. There appear to be protective sea walls on every level now, rather than just a couple, and it looks like the island is even more full with houses, cheerful lights, and occupants than when we see it during the majority of TBB.
2. The fact that Pabu is still standing, still flourishing, and still inhabited without interference from the Empire most likely by the beginning of A New Hope, means—the Empire never got their hands on Pabu 🤩 not only did the Batch get to live out their lives in peace, there is an entire planet that was never stripped of its resources, occupied, or destroyed by the Empire or various underworld factions. And it serves as a home for so many people displaced by the Empire’s actions.
How often have we gotten to see that!?!
Assuming that the Death Star was occupied with other worlds and that Pabu was never important enough to be taken over after Palpatine’s initial defeat like Mandalore was, it was left in peace and untouched through the whole story. What a unique and beautiful gift that is in the Star Wars universe.
(As to my thoughts on how, I believe that Hemlock was so paranoid/protective about everything related to his efforts on Tantiss that even though CX-2 found the island, the flight path and maps that he stole from Phee would have remained with the ships that went there, and would have been destroyed or lost along with everything else when Tantiss was destroyed. I don’t think anyone else in the Empire would have gotten those coordinates and Palpatine had clearly moved his attentions elsewhere. As for whether “Mark Omega” has to do with Omega being hunted down and that project is still noted in the general imperial archives, even if it is that doesn’t mean that Pabu’s coordinates ever got added to that file.)

"Clone Force 99 died with Tech"
Oh god, he's thought that the whole time, hasn't he? It's the reason he's convinced he's irredeemable. Because the worst happened while they were trying to rescue him from his choices and there's nothing he can do to make it unhappen. The glass can't be unshattered. His brother is still dead.

Omega got Tech’s brain cell.
You know that Echo’s wearing such a proud big brother face under his helmet upon hearing that she escaped with the kids and that the Zillo is out. The former Domino and 501st ARC Trooper is loving the chaos she’s causing.
