Don’t get me wrong I love a good dominant Simon (big man tossing me around like a sack of flour) but I always find myself going back to service dog Simon.

He has a Job and that Job has Tasks and He Must Do Those Tasks. Taking care of his partner is the thing that keeps him sane when he’s home, because he needs a reason for living that isn’t killing. It’s harder to pretend that Simon Riley is dead when he’s walking through a grocery store picking up canned veggies, and if Simon Riley is alive then there needs to be someone to take care of. That’s what he was made for.
