ALLRIGHTT i am working on a synopsis for the story of my game "SoulShattered"!!

The spirit world is a strange place in between earth and the afterlife, when a human is both alive and dead at the same time, they get trapped in the spirit world, A place with no sun or moon but stars lighting up the pitch dark sky. The spirit world is filled with.. spirits, humanoid creatures who just live their lives, but it is also filled with monsters. One day a human named Luca woke up in the spirit world, their soul shattered into pieces not being able to remember who they are. There they meet Rae a girl who has been looking for a way to leave the spirit world for years, Rae helps Luca  To try and find all the pieces of their soul together they will travel the spirit world trying to fix Luca's soul and find a way to get back to the human world.

TOP 5 TWO-DIMENSIONAL SHAPES

(this is my own top 5 and is 100% subjective, i am not trying to offend anyone with my personal shape choices, i am aware that t his is a sensitive subject for people in the 2D shape fandom)

ALLLRIGHT ON 5th PLACE I HAVE THE CARDIOID!!!!!

even tho this shape is only fifth place it is still rly good, its nicely shaped and smooth, the wiki page says it was studied a lot, and i agree this type of shape should be studied just ass much as any other shape.

ON 4TH PLACE IS THE RHOMBUS!!!!

BEAUTIFUL NAME AND BEAUTIFUL SHAPE, the name is so great i could just say rhombus every single moment of my life and stay happy. the plurals a Rhombi also its a 4 sided shape with all 4 sides being the same length, just like a square.

3TH PLACE IS THE INTEGER TRIANGLE!!

OUTOF ALLL the triangles the integer is my fav triangle of all time, all sides are.. integers, and it is perfect for doing some pythagoring in your free time!

FOR SECOND PLACE IT IS THE ONE THE ONLY

this is one of my more controversial picks, a lot of people in the shape fandom would have chosen hexagon as first place! but i think it is a great second, don't think i dislike the hexagon btw it is a great shape!! amazing repitition!! bee's know the deal. but it could never be as amazing as the amazing, the famous

OKAY I HAVE THIS INSANELY COOL VISUAL IDEA okay so i was watching some vids and some cool audio came along and i had a story playing in my head, and then had the COOLEST idea for a visual shot if i ever do detailed cutscenes for my game!!! (okay i only have pixel art sprites for these characters but imagine them being high detailed designs and animated)

this guy here is god in the image, and is standing/floating idk has black inky tentacles to make him float/high up like god in the painting

and then this kid, does this gravity punch attack, but get stopped by the finger of the guy from above. idk i thought that would be rly cool and i needed to share it

ALLRIGHT i added a new tilemap and map/level design concept! some of the shading is a bit funky.. but it works!

SO i am making a 1 tile wide wall design so i can make rooms with bars between them to make it look more like a prison! but idk which version of the front wall i like best.

So i was just watching some video's about ai angst, saying about how realisticly i will probably be replaced in anything i do. i am currently working on my indie game, and like, bot the art, the programming the music, all of it is probably going to be replaced by ai in big corporations. and even if i don't think about my hobbies/dream job, and i go study in biology and become a doctor or smth, that might also be replaced by ai chatboxes or smth. it doesn't rly matter wtf i do caus anything i pick, anything i might want to do with my life can and will probably be replaced by ai for big money bajilionairs who don't rly give a shit anymore. and i have 2 ways i cope with this ai angst

-1 Human workers will become a novelty/more quality? in a way that people prefer to know that the thing they buy/consume is made by a person -2 Ai actually takes all of our jobs, massive amounts of people get fired and become homeless, and we just fucking rise up and kill it? idfk i wouldn't mind an apocalypse rn, just kill like 80% of the people and gimmie a gang of friends, a bunch of dogs and empty cities to travel through that would be fun. but it is kinda fucked that one of the ways i cope is with the fact that an apocalypse isn't even that bad?

either i will become a wage slave, or homeless and i don't rly know which one is worse.

i made a little slideshow, of how strong shading i could do from a lot to 0 shading idk which one looks best because i am bad at shading cause i can't rly imagine how light works? idk how to explain it in english but i want y'all to tell me which looks best!

i tried making some shading for these wall designs? idk how i feel about them after i made this i tried shading the lower part as well

but idk how light works? so idk if this is realistic at all should the top part be darker as well??

so i realized the bricks in the prison map we're using the same grays as the player... which is kinda fucked so i am now gonna switch to this way more dungeony color for bricks!!!

ALLLRIGHT!! i finished the first attack in the new player scene! its a basic attack that just shoots a projectile, its the same as in the old version but now it is way better!

any thoughts on this tilemap/level design? i think it sucks idk why its to bright but also to dark?? idfk its rlyy weird i need to fix this somehow but idk how yet, i'l figure this out later.
