(Thats why I also reread after I post anything)

writers when they’re proofreading their works for the 34th time *find zero mistakes, there’s no typo, no grammatical error. everything looks good. hit the post button*

writers when they’re reading said works after they’ve been published like proud parents *find 52 mistakes at first glance, 38 typos and 14 grammatical errors with a bunch of inconsistencies and plot holes*

Solangelo Headcanon (3): Confessing

(Slight angst?)

I've seen a lot of fics where Will doesn't confess first because he's oblivious to Nico's reciprocated feelings, or he's too self-deprecating to the point where he doesn't think Nico would ever like him back.

But think: he would be the one to confess first because he knows how short demigod lives can be

He had seen the death of so many of his siblings first-hand, and many of them had crushes of their own and stuff but never got to confess because they died.

And, well, he didn't want the same to happen to him.

So he confesses to Nico, even if there was a possible chance that Nico didn't like him back.

Obviously he doesn't do it right away, because Nico was still healing and he didn't want to overwhelm him, but eventually he just goes out and says it.

Because he's learned from his siblings that if he doesn't take initiative of things, he might never get the chance to at all.

THIS FIC IS FINALLY COMPLETED LETS GO

(I literally spent the past 2 days trying to figure out how to end it)

Honestly, if Nico had actually wanted to keep the truth from ever seeing the light of day, he shouldn’t have forgotten one of the most important components of lying: tying up loose ends.

But he did. An amateur move, but really, he only had himself to blame.

“Guys, can we not do this first thing in the mornin’?” asked Will. He took the unoccupied seat to Nico’s right, leaning against him with an exhausted slump. He was probably exhausted from the incident the day before that involved mechanical spiders, the Athena Cabin, and many injuries caused by sharp flying projectiles, but Nico could only notice the warmth of his body that did things to his heart.

It made it very hard for him to focus on braiding Gracie’s hair. She was the recent addition to the Cabin Seven who had, for some reason, taken one look at Nico and designated him as her unofficial hairstylist. Every day at breakfast, she would stubbornly sit next to him, silently holding a pink plastic brush in front of his face until he eventually caved.

Gods he was the Ghost King. Slayer of monsters. Son of Hades. So why was he so weak just because her wide eyes were the same blue as Will’s?

(He knew why.)

Will is not the mom friend because he is spiritually the youngest sibling forced to be the oldest sibling

Ahem, let me explain.

Growing up Will always had older siblings, right? Michael, Lee, etc. So obviously he had younger sibling privilege and could cause chaos without getting in trouble too much because he was too cute to be mad at for so long.

But then, well, the war happened. Will was forced to become the older sibling, but he had no idea what to fucking do.

Because he was used to other people looking out for him and telling him what to do. Which meant he wasn't used to him being the one doing that.

So I believe, to express his inner youngest child (because he had to grow up fast and set a good example for Kayla and Austin), Will is the most chaotic out of his friend group with Lou Ellen and Cecil. Lou Ellen is the resident mom friend and Cecil is the supportive friend that either encourages or joins Will's stupid decisions/shenanigans.

If you think otherwise...your wrong lol.

Why did Hades prefer/favor Bianca? Cause Nico is the stereotypical middle child

Lol. I know Hades had favored Bianca before Hazel even came back to life, but Nico is spiritually the middle child.

It's because usually the middle child is always forgotten or left out and stuff right? They're either overshadowed by their older sibling or they're not as cute as their younger sibling.

So I feel like Hades didn't really give much of a shit about Nico at first, but when Bianca died he was like: "Oh shit. That's right. I have another child."

That's when he started to actually give Nico more attention.

On my eyes, it's canon. I will not accept any arguments stating otherwise.

“I understand that you must have a few questions.”

Bianca wanted to scoff. A few? A few was an understatement. It wasn’t like she had been assigned a project with vague instructions that barely explained what she was supposed to do because that, at least, she could handle. Instead, in the span of only a few hours, she and Nico had been attacked by a monster, saved by cultists, and now she was in the presence of a goddess who could probably end her life with a snap of her fingers.

That meant she didn’t just have a few questions that churned in her head like a soft storm, she had a whole hurricane of them. They fought each other ruthlessly for dominance, quenching their associative answer. However, if she asked them all, it would take at minimum the last few hours of the night.

And Bianca was sure Artemis had more important, godly things to do.

So she just picked the most pressing one. “Why did our, um, godly parent request for you to watch us? Wouldn’t it have been easier to do it themselves?”

Artemis shook her head, leading her and FiFi (or was she supposed to call her Phoebe now?) deeper into the tent. There was a small brazier in the center that created an atmosphere of warmth and dozens of animal pelts were hung along the walls. With an elegant motion of her hand, the goddess gestured for them to sit on the large, soft pillows that Nico would’ve loved to make a fortress out of.

“No, it would not have,” she said. “Any direct influence they have on your lives is bound to draw unwanted attention. That is why they turned to me. While I wasn’t able to interfere myself, my Hunters could.”

Bianca twisted her ring. “So you sent FiFi.”

“Yes. Phoebe already had connections in the hotel, which made her the most qualified.” At the mention of her name, Phoebe gave another two-finger salute.

“But why?”

Artemis hummed as she ran her fingers through the fur of a deer that had wandered into the tent to lay its head on her lap. “Two reasons. The first is because I am a protector, of maidens and children. The second, well, you still have trouble with controlling your Hellfire do you not?”

Bianca flinched. The chilling flickers that swirled beneath her skin sent shivers down her spine. “How do you know about that?”

“I am a Goddess, little one. I can sense it within you, threatening to break free. That is why I am extending to you an offer to join my Hunt.”

“What.”

Solangelo Headcanon (2): Flowers

A lot of people headcanon that Nico knows a whole bunch of languages right? Well, I feel like he'd also be fluent in the language/symbolism of flowers (curtesy of Persephone).

When he ends up developing feelings for Will, Nico has no idea what to do with those emotions, and he doesn't want to suppress them as it only causes him pain. So instead of verbally saying his feelings, because he definitely wasn't ready for that, he uses flowers.

Whenever he's overwhelmed by emotions, he just...shoves a flower or two at Will, assuming that he won't understand their meanings because usually only the Demeter cabin did.

And at first, Will is a little confused, but finds it endearing and eventually buys a vase to store all the flowers.

(The flowers never die because they're from Persephone's garden.)

Overtime though, Will starts to get curious and researches what each flower means, only to be blown away by how sweet Nico is because he was basically just confessing to him this whole time.

So the next day when he finds Nico, he gives him an entire bouquet of red roses and tulips and Nico accepts them.

That's how they get together.

(And hidden in the background, the Demeter Cabin cheers because they had been keeping tabs on the situation since the first flower Nico had given Will.)

Headcanon Will starts his morning singing Tangled songs

Will: ♪ 7 a.m. the usual mornin' line up ♪

Will: ♪ Start on the chores and sweep 'til the infirmary's all clean ♪

Austin: [joins in by playing his sax]

Will: ♪ Polish and wax, do laundry, and mop and shine up ♪

Will: ♪ Sweep again, and by then it's like 7:15 ♪

Kayla, who still hasn't had her coffee yet: If you don't shut up by 7:20 I'm gonna be sweeping up your dead body

nico loves getting will star wars merch but he doesn't know when to give it to him so over the year he just collects it and then puts it all in a cute basket to drop it on the Apollo cabin doorstep with his name on it on May 4th because it's like a religious holiday for Will
