I’ve been Enabled

SO!! the four main characters are siblings, they were all adopted by a god named Madineau at various ages. Oldest to youngest they are Nyota (21, moth-hybrid thing), Nekaia (20, satyr but a muntjac instead of a goat), Kiet (16, bird- specifically a cardinal), and Everin (16, elf thing that can do magic). Nyotila was most recently adopted, 8 years prior to the start of the story, and the story starts when we find out what it was star was running away from :)

Nyota was the prince of the city state Moth Morien (I’m in too deep I can’t change the name. help me) (it’s a terrible pun on ‘moth’ and ‘loth lorien’ bcus the whole thing is one huge tree) but hated it there AND hated stars dad so! star ran away <3. but Nyotas past caught up with star, and a group of bounty hunters found star. Apparently princes aren’t allowed to simply “disappear” and country-wide manhunts are started.

Nyota is kidnapped by them and dragged back to the city. Nekaia, kiet, and everin set out to rescue star. They thought it would be a quick event, but turns out kidnapping a prince back isn’t easy. After several weeks of failed break-ins and planning, they began their latest plot: everin and kiet would create distractions of different sides of the royal sector, and nekaia would meet up with Nyota in a designated spot while the guards were distracted.

Things did not go to plan. Kiet and everin did not split up, they caused one Large Distraction. when the two of them were cornered, everin panicked and unleashed a huge wave of fire, setting part of the sector ablaze and burning her own hands. She and kiet managed to escape, though.

Nyota was not at the meeting spot. Nekaia couldn’t imagine why star wouldn’t have shown up, and desperately searched every room xey could find. xey opened the door to the throne room.

there was Nyota, sat beside stars father. stars eyes looked dead. drained of all hope and empty. the dad called out some kind of challenge to Nekaia, accusing xem of trying to kidnap his child (true). Xey accepted the fight and won in an instant. Nekaia restrained the king and asked Nyota what they should do with him. ‘Your dad, your call’ and all that. Nyota, eyes still distant, looked up and said to kill him. The king panics and begs for his life, pleading to Nyota. Nekaia hesitates, waiting to see if Nyota changes stars mind, but star confirms again: kill him. So Nekaia does.

Afterwards the four are reunited and it’s a touching moment slightly ruined by the fact that Nekaia is covered in blood and there’s a corpse on the floor and everin and kiet smell like smoke and Nyota is already feeling horrendously guilty. But other than that very sweet.

Nyota processes the fact that with the king dead, STARS next in line for the throne, but doesn’t want it. Instead, star passes it on to everin. Everin is thrilled, and kiet is going to stay with her and be her “right hand man” (kiet does nothing ever) while Nekaia and Nyota head back home :) this is a wonderful plan and nothing can go wrong :))

AND that’s season 1!! there’s 2 more seasons but this post is so FREEKING long haha ^_^ I just love my ocs a LOT

Fun fact this is one of the few times we see Kabru’s shoulders in Dungeon Meshi iirc this is the only time in the manga canon story line we see him no shirt and shoulders showing and this is one of three times he’s shown across main content and extra content with no shirt/shoulders showin he’s so scrawny here tiny like a paperweight i could wrap my arms around him oh that would be noce kiss handsome beauyfii

BEEES!!! I LOVE BEES!!! They’re so cute and silly and fluffy and I adore every thing about them,, I don’t care if they sting me they are fully allowed too with those cute little faces!!

I’ve never really been too scared of bees in general, they don’t really tend to sting me n stuff, and when they do it doesn’t hurt too much.

I don’t like wasps though, and especially I don’t like Yellowjackets (one stung me in my ear when I was like 8-9 and I couldn’t hear for like 2 days, I still have minor issues with that ear -.-), bees though are just adorable and don’t really want to harm anyone, they just don’t wanna be bothered!

hello hi!! it is me again!! finished my bropunzeling doubleheader and ahgggghh hhhh!!!!!! i swear to god the payoff in only fools rush in is so good it made me see STARS . i loved it so much oh my god. i’m obsessed with matthew the sort of unreliable narrator who cannot for the life of him figure out that leon is so down bad it makes him look stupid. the spain chapter !!!!!!!!!!!!! just sooooo good!!!!!! it’s been a while since i’ve reread girl!leon (my beloved) and one thing i do remember vividly is how much i loved the sicily chapter, where she’s pining so bad. idk there’s something about them on vacation that hits different . maybe it’s because it’s july but maybe not who knows. the portrayal of the loneliness matthew feels and the moving across the continent about it felt so real to me (and relatable. ouchie!!)

also. the porn. the feelings that are expressed through it. that is so well done and so hard to come by? like the way they express their affection through it is phenomenal. gagged me fr i’m going to be thinking about it for a while

there’s one bit that made me go insane fr fr. near the end, when they’re in leon’s hotel room and they’re finally resolving:

“I do," he says. His voice is shaking, from fear or nerves or adrenaline or the hope that's threatening to consume him. It akes all of his courage to uproot himself, to make himself move wards Leon. To take that last, final step, until he and Leon are almost touching. Are close enough that Matthew can feel Leon's sody heat, can see the lines around his eyes, can smell hotel shampoo and skin. "I do want it."

i don’t know if the narration break (i don’t know the right word for it) between “i do” and “i do want it” done on purpose as in the wedding vows i dos but anyways it made me go CRAZY. JUST AHHHHHHHH SICK SICKKKKKKK. genuinely made me glad i have eyeballs and a brain. GOD.

also not to take as an excuse to babble but i DO think there is something generally when writing a romantic fic where taking ur characters and sticking them somewhere outside their normal circumstances they're better able to get to those deeper feelings? like, being away from "reality" of rivalry or hate or what have you allows to like, tap into those big big emotions. this is why i love writing vacation scenes. i cannot be stopped.

yooo fostering cats is such a great hobbie that's so cool!! how did you get into that i always wondered how that works in the US, does it work via working with a shelter or are there other ways? (but also great long term planning for your evil villain ways 👏👏👏 now you already have an excess supply of cats you can pull in your lap and pet while evilly scheming how to terrorize tumblr. fantastic organizing on your part, now you only need to rent a villain layer with a shark tank or something for the complete package)

I got into it by growing up on a farm/living rurally my whole life & having rural neighbours/being involved in those communities and unfortunately a LOT of farm people see cats as disposable/are very very lax about cat safety and survival and health and don’t spay or neuter etc, so over time as a kid/teen I just got a reputation for being The Guy You Can Bring Unwanted Cats/Kittens To Without Questions Asked because a lot of shelters etc won’t come out and catch feral cats, but I’m happy to go to peoples’ places and catch them (i should become like. a cat whisperer or smthn) and a lot of shelters also will NOT accept newborn kittens since they don’t have the resources to care for them as frequently as the kittens need, whereas I will care for newborn kittens. Shelters where I live are also turning animals away frequently because they’re sadly too full, so instead of spending hours trying to find a shelter with room, people will just ask me!

So yeah, people usually give me a call when they’ve got kittens/cats they can’t care for & either drop them off or I go pick them up!

And I’m actually Canadian, so I’m not sure how it works in the US, but I’m also not fully sure how working with a shelter works in Canada, as I just do things more informally! :DD As wonderful as I’m sure it is working with a shelter/I’d encourage people to do so, I’ve found that I’m most helpful to the animals by just doing things on my own, as a lot of rural folks around here will just leave the animals to die if the choice is between “take them to a shelter which is going to be a fairly long drive to the nearest city” or “turn a blind eye and claim it’s nature taking its course” but when they have the third option of “call that one cat dude who lives down the road and who will happily take them off your hands,” more kitties tend to get helped!

i mean this in the kindest way possible and it's even more about me than it is about you, but i also HAD a parasocial relationship with him for over two years, stepping away from twitter and only being here helped me a lot. also the movie opened my eyes big time, i ended up realizing that at the end of the day he's just a famous person, sure...he meant the entire world to me, but he did and continues to do so much questionable shit and the way he acted today was rude as hell.

i guess what i mean with all of this is...maybe taking a small break or seeing him without the parasocial relationship eyes will help you the same way it helped me. the way i was stanning both of them (i'm a larrie obvi) was just NOT healthy and it blinded me to a point where i truly believed them uncapable of doing anything wrong. realizing all of this after watching the movie was so upsetting that i cried FOR DAYS, but it got a lot better and i feel a lot healthier mentally.

you don't stop loving them, you just start seeing them for what they are: flawed humans that happen to be famous and can fuck up any minute, like the rest of us.

BUT the like thing i was bothered by was how many CRYING KIDS THERE WERE like i don’t know what was in the air but every kid was crying in the store i kid you not!! i wanted to pull my hair out JUST a little bit but overall it was still an okay work day!! and since it’s sunday and we close early IT MADE IT A LITTLE BETTER!! like coming outside and the sky still being bright is always a win! ALSO I GET WHAT YOU MEAN BY THE BREATHING THING DONT WORRY!! like being on autopilots is so weird like especially at work but sometimes it’s scary because ill be doing things so fast and then when i mess up i kind of pause and im like… what… what was i doing??? okay SKATER BOY so sophomore year he was in a tech class with me and actually the year before i had had a class with him but we never talked but i thought he was kind of good looking (BROTHER EUGHHHHH I'M SORRY I REGRET ALL MY CHOICES AND THE FACT THAT I HAVE TO SAY THAT BC I DO NOT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING THRU MY HEAD AT THAT TIME) but ANYWAY the short and long of it is i left school for a month during that year for mental health reasons but he was like worried about me!! so we kept in contact and when i came back to school he stuck close to like make sure i was doing good!! and i was still in a bad place and making bad decisions!! like i think one time i walked with him to his house without telling anyone (bc i was mad at the world LMAO) and that was just the worst night of my life like we didn't do anything yk LMAO 😭 but OKAY NVM UGH I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT SORRY MAYBE IN DMS IF YOU'RE CURIOUS I'LL TELL YOU BUT ANYWAY LIKE BAD MEMORIES BAD TIME FOR ME and he was a skater boy!! and a crazy man who did drugs and then when we were getting close he was like "i've stopped doing drugs for you!!" and then like right before winter break started ghosting me and started doing drugs again so then i was like "okay ig you don't like me so i'm dipping!!" OKAY PURPLE HEART MAN!! JUST A SILLY THEATRE STORY I THOUGHT OF WHILE DOING LAUNDRY YESTERDAY AND I WANTED TO TELL YOU LMAO but anyway so i think this was actually also my sophomore year how silly!!!!! that was such a wild year for everyone ig but ANYWAY so my theatre was doing this one play and it was like a farce and a fixed set and only like six actors but anyway OUR MAIN LEAD WAS JUST LIKE BEING HEXED OR SOMETHING so man literally got a concussion bc there was this one bit where he dove into the audience and had to be carried off by a stretcher by techies as a bit but one night at rehearsal one of the techies tripped over a rock so he fell and bonked his head (WHICH ALSO RANDOMLY REMINDS YOU ALSO DURING THIS SHOW WE LITERALLY HAD A TOXIC FREON LEAK IN THE BOY'S DRESSING ROOM AND SOMEONE WENT MOMENTARILY BLIND) AND he like twisted his ankle i think!! another time he dove off the stage?? and then another actor accidentally stomped on his toe and that got injured too LMAO SO HE WAS REALLY GOING THROUGH IT AND ALMOST DIDN'T MAKE IT TO THE LAST SHOW BC HE WAS IN SUCH BAD CONDITION (if i remember correctly on like our second show day immediately after the show he went to the er??? and also when we were striking the set and tearing down posters one of them tore in a way that like yk some of the paper was left on the wall and it LITERALLY SPELLED OUT 'DIE' IDK WHY THIS SHOW WAS SO CURSED) and so at the end of the play he was awarded a purple heart as a joke bc that's what they give people who serve in the army yk 😭😭 if they were injured during their service

I - Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why? uhh. a couple, probably?? but i cant think of any off the top of my head :PP most of the ones that i can think of ALSO come from things like. me growing up. like, south park?? i grew out of that one HARD, but also seeing all the incredibly weird/bad takes on tumblr really sped up the process LOL. other ones i have never been into but their fandom just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. like, welcome home?? yikes

Characters that you absolutely loathe with the fire of ten thousand suns are exempt, as there is no point in giving yourself an aneurysm over a character that you hate.) uhhhhhh......okay.........ill say charlie. as much as i dont really like her character, i will say. she makes up for it by how well her energy bounces off others. even though im basically never interested in her by itself, its almost HARD to come up with a dynamic with her that ISNT interesting in some way!!! one of my favorite little pasttimes is looking up rarepair edits/art, and even if none of them are ROMANTICALLY compelling to me, its really fun to imagine what charlie would be like with basically anyone!!!!!
