Blog Update
I have to fly home for a few days. I will bring my tablet but due to the circumstances I might not have a lot of time to work on commissions. Bear with me during this.
Depressing medical talk about a family member under the cut:
My dad is sick. He’s been in the hospital all week. We haven’t gotten a diagnosis yet but we’re all prepared for it to be cancer. I’m going to fly to see them for a few days and help out my mom and visit him. It’s not going to be a fun trip and I’m not looking forward to it. Im catching a flight as soon as my shift ends.
#just talking#and on top of it all both my phone and portable charger didn’t charge overnight#so all my devices are nearly dead alslkdksksks#I hate today

gettin a refill for my prescription receptionist was like “ummmm you haven’t talked to anyone here for. a year.” And i was like yeah i know but ive also been on the same pill and dosage for 5 years and i need a refill asap and she was like “sorryyyy can’t do it u need to talk to them :)” so now i have to talk to stupid bradley and get probably like 100 more dollars i can’t pay rn onto my bill with them for a ten minute conversation

i found a decade old kindle in my “random papers and junk” chest from 5 moves ago and it’s like unearthing treasure
#what you mean i can download all my favorite fics and not have to read them on my tiny phone??#i think i saved up for it when i graduated high school and then couldn’t stand the interface for academic notes and highlights#and i mostly read physical copies of books or didn’t read much at all#but now???? i shan’t be parted from it#no idea how it still works and holds a charge given that it hadn’t been touched in… 8 years?#was left out in a freezing shed for the last 3?#it’s so light? i can read it in the sun without glare? i don’t feel like an old man squinting to read ao3’s 11pt text?#h
