Sansa dreams big. She can’t help it. She always has, always lets her romantic imagination run away with her. Whether it’s about a boy or about her band, she can be single-minded in her focus, pouring her all into a song and hustling to perform it in front of as many people as she can get to let her. It’s always been who she is, always been what she’s done, but it’s so much better now that she’s got the rest of The Direwolves. Growing up, she and Arya hadn’t always seen eye to eye on things (OK, that was pretty much the understatement of the century, they’d practically never seen eye to eye on anything), but these days things are different. Time and common enemies and shared heartbreaks have brought them together, a fierce and unwavering loyalty forged between them in the few years since their dad died. After nearly a decade of being one of the things that came between them, music finally bonded them together, too, and Sansa has discovered that she likes being part of a girl group more than she’d ever enjoyed being a singer-songwriter on her own. Plus, Arya’s taste for angry alt and punk rock complements Sansa’s pop sensibilities just fine these days instead of clashing with them, and it’s been fun and freeing to let her sister show her how to shake off her good girl image and just get mad. She’d already started dreaming of them touring, traveling the world together, playing sold out shows in all kinds of countries, and so it had only felt right when Robb decided it was his responsibility to be their manager. Who else would do a better job of fighting for them, after all? Do the heavy lifting of calling venues and booking gigs and negotiating fees? She hadn’t expected him to insist that his girlfriend join their group — she hadn’t expected him to have a girlfriend at all, but it seemed in the same moment Robb determined he needed a new career, he’d also decided he was ready for his first serious relationship. Sansa and Arya had only barely met Jeyne Westerling before Robb had informed them she would become the third part of their trio, but now she was as good as their sister, too. She was incredible at the drums, a blast to watch on stage, and she was always able to help them just have fun when they performed, always able to keep the peace when the sisters occasionally still butted heads. Plus, she’s the best at delivering subtle little digs at Theon’s expense, innocuous little one liners he can never quite decide are mocking instead of earnest. Still, making it big is taking… well, a little longer than Sansa had hoped. She’s happy to put in the work, however much it takes, but it’s getting hard to feel grateful for bowling alley gigs that cost them almost as much as they make. And while Sansa learned to stop blindly idolizing Margaery Tyrell years ago, it still stings to hear her and her cousins mock their music, their outfits, the furry ears and tails Sansa and Jeyne spent hours hand-crafting for their shows. So even though it feels too good to be true when Petyr Baelish appears out of nowhere to offer them a record deal, Sansa can’t help but jump at the opportunity. She wants it, after all. She wants to be the next big thing, wants to be able to play her music for the world, and Mr. Baelish says he can make that happen if they just move fast. He has to find the next Du Rocher after the band made up of blond Lannister heartthrobs disappeared in that tragic plane crash, and if it’s not going to be The Direwolves, he’s going to find someone else. So when Mr. Baelish tells them he’s got a limo waiting for them just as soon as they sign their contract, all they really ask is, “Where’s the pen?” It helps that he lets them bring everyone along with them. It’s not just her and Arya and Jeyne, it’s also Robb as their amateur manager and Theon as his fake assistant and Jon as her pretend guitar tech, all of them on a private jet as Mr. Baelish flies them out to New York City. If she’s honest with herself, Sansa has to admit that Jon is the most exciting addition. She’s been crushing on him for — god, it feels like forever now, but she’s not sure he’s ever seen her as anything other than his best friend’s little sister. Even if he had, his self-image always used to be way too low for him to even think about asking anyone out. Romance had been entirely off the table as he focused on music of his own. Sansa’s been determined to change that this past year, though, dedicated to building his confidence back up, and now if she could just get him to see her in a new light, she’s sure he’ll finally realize that they’re supposed to be together. Heading out to the big city, standing center stage seems like the perfect way to do that. She’ll happily put up with Theon tagging along if that means Jon gets to come with them, too. (Arya, however, is less forgiving. “You know what? I still don’t understand why you’re here,” she tells him point blank. “I’m here because I’m the only one who could pull off Missi Pyle’s skunk stripe from the movie,” he quips back.) Only, things start to get a little weird as soon as their flight touches down. Suddenly, their music alone isn’t enough, and the three of them are undergoing various makeovers big and small. They’ve got a whole new wardrobe picked out for them, clothing assigned not just for video shoots and performances but for parties, too. Their songs are all run through some fancy technology so the Megasound 8000 can make them perfectly produced, and Petyr’s even insisted on changing their name. They’re not The Direwolves anymore. Now, they’re Sansa and the Direwolves, and that’s how they’re being introduced to the industry at record company president Cersei’s palatial apartment.   Petyr says it’s what they have to do if they want to be successful, though, and given that he already got their first single to the top of the charts, made their faces so well-known that Sansa and Jon couldn’t even sneak off to the aquarium without getting mobbed, Sansa figures he knows what he’s talking about. Hell, even Margaery and her cousins had shown up at their hotel door, insisting that they’d been converted into Sansa and the Direwolves’ biggest fans. Plus, it’s not that big of a deal. She is the lead singer of the band, isn’t she? She’s the one who writes all of the songs. She was the only one taking it seriously in the first place, dreaming of something bigger than bowling alleys back home in Winterfell. If Arya and Jeyne aren’t on board, if they can’t see that this is the only way forward, that’s their problem, because they’re the ones glomming onto her talent and her success in the first place. And then she literally stumbles onto the realization that something isn’t just weird — something is wrong. When she trips, falls, and smashes her CD player while strutting around the city, Sansa discovers that Mr. Baelish — Cersei — has been putting hidden messages in the demos the label’s been giving her. They’ve been driving Sansa and her bandmates apart, setting the stage for her to go solo, trying to brainwash her into being the perfect little performer while limiting their liabilities down to just one person. When she drags Robb and Theon with her to the studio to investigate further, she discovers it’s even bigger than that. They’re not just trying to brainwash her. They’re trying to brainwash everyone, using The Direwolves’ music to do it, all so they can sell clothing and makeup and music and sodas and sneakers and anything else they can possibly think of. Sansa knows she can’t go through with the big stadium concert they have planned for her, knows she has to put a stop to Petyr and Cersei’s plans — but when it turns out they’re not just trying to kick Arya and Jeyne out of the band, they’re holding them hostage to ensure Sansa’s cooperation, things get a lot more complicated. Somehow, she’s going to have to save them, get them to forgive her, take down a major record label and expose Cersei for the power-hungry criminal she is. She can’t do it alone, though. Thankfully, she won’t have to. At the last minute, Du Rocher reveals they didn’t die in that plane crash. They may be a little worse for wear after they managed to land the plan in the middle of a Dornish heavy rock concert, all but one of them bundled up in near full-body casts, but little Tommen had been the one left mostly untouched (“And I thank the seven everyday that my sister taught me the words to ‘Enter, Red Viper,’” he’d told them), and he’s been trying to warn Sansa and her sisters all along. With the distraction Du Rocher’s appearance provides, Sansa manages to free Arya and Jeyne, and together they’re able to take on the record execs, smash the Megasound 8000, and even get Cersei and Petyr arrested thanks to another surprise appearance from the United States government, one so impressive it prompts Robb to consider joining the army. In the end, there’s nothing left for Sansa and Arya and Jeyne to do but take the stage, pick up their instruments, and find out if any of it can ever actually be real. If people might actually like them, their music, what they have to say. And maybe, just maybe, Sansa can get the guy, too.

TFE Megs has Whirlibird and her 5-6 brothers, there's your lil Soundfam baby, and also probably a Megastar kiddo from somewhere across the multiverse. There's just so many little chicks running around, they're so loud, shrieking with laughter as they play, but all the mamas are just glad they're having such a good time

Exellent Era (Xue Mingkai): I played plenty of games, but I started really getting serious around the time Glory came out. I played about 4-8 hours a day until I thought I was good enough to start going to tournaments but, it took a few months for me to get good enough to do well at the tournaments.

Tiny Herb (Wang Jiexi): Pretty uncommon. This can vary a lot from game to game but, generally speaking the games and settings are selected to be as skill based as possible with very few random factors. So big upsets can happen but, whenever they do happen they are usually a fairly big deal within that games community.

Excellent Era (Yin Xiong): I would guess about 8-10 hours, although that would be with a couple breaks in there for food and such. Also, yes, the game images in my mind before going to bed does happen. Constantly. But its better than laps with Xue Mingkai, or dodge practice with Ye Qiu.

Ye Xiu sighed as he was pushed into learning about Reddit. Ever since the Alliance had managed to gain popularity during its second season, there was a greater focus on advertising that he couldn't quite understand. Pro Gamers, usually seen as lazy, unemployed people were now being thrown into the spotlight and even though he had thus far managed to avoid being forced into doing anything, his luck had apparently run out.

Unlike other interviews and sponsorship meetings that he could get out of by paying a fee, this new Social Media thing was apparently important enough to force changes. Wang Shi, the Chairman himself, had come all the way to Excellent Era and begged him to take part, even offering incentives that he knew Ye Qiu couldn't ignore.

No fees for interviews? Done.

No fees for Sponsorship meetings? Done.

But it was the final two incentives offered by Tao Xuan himself that Ye Xiu had faltered for.

Ownership of both Dancing Rain and Autumn Tree[1] if he answered questions and gained a minimum of 100 asks.

And so, that was how, Ye Xiu found himself in front of a computer, not playing Glory for once but patiently listening to Wu Xuefeng explains the ins and outs of a social media site—

"Do you understand, Captain?" Wu Xuefeng asked leaning back in his chair.

Ye Xiu nodded and watched his vice-captain leave to go lecture Qin Tianran and Xue Mingkai both of whom were starting to fight again.

Moving his mouse to the AMA question email inbox, Ye Xiu started scrolling through the questions already submitted. To his surprise, there was far more than a dozen, or even a hundred. Glancing to his left, he was shocked to see the 999+ hovering by the inbox. He had never thought he would get so many questions, rubbing his eyes, he got to work.

It was going to be a long night.

    I once told one of my family members I was going to play professionally. I ignored the next five minutes of him telling me to go home. Most reactions are negative. The only positive reaction I had was from a friend. Never found anyone romantically because I was too busy winning championchips.

That first post is like a spark that seemed to set off everyone in the Glory community. Other pros were weighing in and forums everywhere were exploding as users were screen shotting their questions, most beyond shocked that the highly elusive and rare God of Glory was actually communicating. Wiki pages once so bare of data of the most powerful and shadowy existence that was the battle god were quickly edited and re-edited as more and more answers begun appearing on Reddit.

The moment that the news went viral, the newspapers were filled with information, and before long even more and more questions started being sent to Ye Xiu, to the complete shock of Wang Shi and Tao Xuan, both of whom knew that Ye Qiu had a following the Glory community but neither of them knew it was anything like this.

Already, Ye Qiu's AMA was trending on Weibo and nearly every social site that was even remotely popular, and yet no one was asking him to unmask. It was mind boggling because Ye Qiu thought that would be one of the only questions he would receive, and yet from all the hundreds of questions he answered, it had only appeared a few times.

Unfortunately, even though he had met his goal in the first few hours of his posts, the number of questions in his box was still exploding.

How was he ever going to finish this mess?

Thankfully, he didn't have to wait long as after Tao Xuan made some calls to the PR group they had on retainer for situations like this. Based on their information and a suitable recommendation, Ye Xiu was given an assistant to help streamline the process, so that instead of him having to type everything manually he could do other things, such as captain his team.

The assistant was incredibly efficient and moved several questions over to a new thread that was due to open in the new week, while she deleted a large number of rather misleading, or crude questions. She worked with him, while he sat at the computer, or at his desk typing up comments to questions.

And so, Ye Xiu thought that was the end of it.

He was wrong.

[1] In this fanfiction Tao Xuan had kept Autumn Tree and he had just been waiting for YX to purchase it back from him. However, even at rock bottom prices, YX was having problems getting the money together while being fined and taking care of Su Mucheng. In addition, as this fanfic takes place during Season 3, I headcanon that Su Mucheng is finishing up in the EE Training camp and her card was purchased (Though I don't know if this is actually a thing that happens.)

[2] Unlike other Reddit thread Ye Qiu is answering questions after the fact, instead of during a time slot like is normally done. I don't know if this possible, or under what circumstances, but here it is.

How long after Nieke was Caliburn born and is she a good big sister?

I wanna know all the cute domestic details

Caliburn was born when Nieke was around 6 years old. Nieke was pretty excited to have a baby sibling but was a bit sad when she realized he couldn’t play with her.

Her parents had already told her what would change once Caliburn would be there, they’d split their love and attention to them both and reassured her that they still loved her even tho there would be a new baby. Nieke tries to help her mother when Soundwave is at work. She’s still pretty small but tries her best. Be it from picking up her toys to talking to Caliburn.

Megs thinks it’s cute how Nieke always asks how her brother is doing and when can he play with her. He never thought she’d like being an older sister and was mentally preparing to have her throw tantrums once the baby was born. When Megs was still pregnant with Caliburn, she’d let Nieke sit close to her and feel/talk to him.

Nieke was once kicked in the face by Caliburn lol.

Nieke takes her role of big sister seriously and with pride, telling her kindergarten/first grade class about how she’s going to have a baby brother. Some of the students and staff congratulate her mean while some adults are terrified at the idea of Megatron having another spawn.

Snow day

Nieke had seen vehicons bringing a lot of things from earth back on the ship. It was mostly dirt pieces and leaf stuck to them. She was used to seeing more greenery stuck to them or even on the ground.

Which is why it confused her to see a vehicon crouch next to her with a small white sphere in hand. She tilted her head to the side.

“A gift.” He said while signing with his empty hand.

She smiled and took the orb in her hands. The vehicon chuckled as her face changed to a surprised expression at how cold it was.

“It’s a snowball, or well, snow. It’s an earth thing.”

Her optics widen as she turned it around, a perfect cold sphere. Never in her life had she held something like that, it truly captivated her in a way.

“Sneow?” Nieke said as she looked at the vehicon. He chuckled. “It’s S-n-o-w” he spelled the word all the while making sure to spell each letter while showing it in sign language. The snowball was gently placed on the ground and the youngling copied the trooper. “Snow!” She said pridefully.

He ended up sitting near Nieke and began explaining and talking about winter and what humans did during this period. She listened, mesmerized by what was outside the ship.

Story time was cut short as both heard the familiar steps of their leader (and parent). The vehicon stood up, already ready to salute his leader while Nieke ran up to her carrier.

“Mama! Mama!” She grabbed into his leg, forcing him to stop and look at her. A large clawed hand came resting on her head, patting it as a chuckle escaped the silver tyrant’s lips.

“What’s gotten you so excited dear?”. At her carrier’s question, Nieke’s excitedly showed off the snowball. Megatron’s eyes left his daughter as they rested on Steve. “Did you give her this?”

He had to reset his vocalizer before speaking. “Y-yes sir. Since your daughter isn’t allowed to go outside I th-” He stuttered.

“I wanna play in the Snow!” Nieke interrupted. Her small hands holding onto Megatron’s finger. “Please mama.” She pleaded.

He sighed. “You know I can’t and won’t let you go alone, it’s dangerous out there.” The warlord had crouched down to be eye level with his child.

“If I may propose my liege, m-maybe you could go with her?” Steve asked, shivering as Megatron’s eyes lock onto him, finally noticing his presence.

Nieke squealed in excitement, jumping while holding holding her carrier’s hand. “Can you mommy? Please please please?!”

As much as Megatron wished to stay inside, he couldn’t say no to his daughter. He sighed and ended up agreeing.

The glow of the groundbrige faded away, leaving the five cybertronian in a snowy forest. Icicles reflect sunlight on the snow, giving it an ethereal look.

Nieke was about to go run off exploring when her carrier’s caught her and wrapped something around her neck. “Your sire insisted on you wearing that.”

She pouted before starting to rub towards a large mount of snow. Before going to run after her, Megatron to the vehicons. “Make sure to stay near and warn me if any Autobots dare to show up.”

“Mama look how tall I am!” “That snow mount is even bigger than the last one!” Megatron chuckled at his daughter, she’d been running up and down large piles of snow, seemingly never getting bored.

‘How she had this much energy was a mystery to him.’

“I wanna go on this one.” Snapping back from his thoughts, the warlord looked at where she was pointing.

It was a hill, which would have been fine on its own if it didn’t lead down to a large number of trees. He could already imagine how bad this could go.

“Isn’t it a bit too high darling?” He tried to catch up with Nieke who seemed determined to climb on it. “We could go back home or find a hill that isn’t as tall?”

“Nuh-uh!” She responded. Megatron was tempted to argue with his creation but remembered that it would go on for too long than it needed. ‘She just had to be as stubborn as him.’

As they made it to the top, Nieke squealed and jumped around happily, feeling tall and powerful like her carrier. To Megatron’s horror, he noticed a large layer of ice on certain sides.

Nieke did too. “Can we slide down?” She asked while grabbing onto his hand.

‘She should be safe with him, right?’

He’d been half right.

Nieke was safe and sound but he wasn’t.

As the line of trees got closer, Megatron decided to transform around Nieke and ended up slamming his back into a couple of trees and branches.

Nieke’s excitement had turn into panic as she saw the dents on her carrier. Silver arms scooped her up before she started crying. “How about we do something less dangerous next?”

Their outing ended after a couple of snowmen and a snow “fortress” were made. Nieke had began complaining of feeling cold and getting tired of removing the fog on her visor.

Megatron walked back onto the Nemesis with a sleeping youngling, two snow covered vehicons and his back killing him. Along with a couple of twigs and pine cones.

He sent the vehicons to go warm up and return to their daily duties while he made his way to the living quarters he shared with Soundwave and their daughter.

The door slide open and Megatron gave Nieke to Soundwave. “Put her in bed in need to take a shower before I tear off my back.” The silent mech only nodded in response.

“You missed a spot.” Megatron growled, his face burries in a pillow. Slime fingers pulled out a twig from in between some plating. He hissed in pain.

Nieke was currently asleep in her room and the moment Megatron had stepped out of the washracks he asked (begged) Soundwave to do something about the pain. This led to his partner to massage him.

“Can’t you just crack my back back into place?”. He asked. Soundwave’ hands were still on him. “Are you certain?” A vocoded voice responded.

Megatron sighed and turned to face Soundwave. “Crack my back like a damn glowstick before I tear off my spine!” The navy mech sighed before applying pressure to his lord’s back and earning a high pitched noise.

Megasound family AU summary/main post

AU summary : This AU started as a joke and then I got too attached to it.

Megatron and Soundwave get a child or more. It’s honestly just a basic family AU thing, except it’s Megasound and with my random headcanons and takes.

Before going into more details,

Nieke is the shipchild // Megatron is her carrier // Soundwave is her sire

The “How” Nieke came to existence : There are two ways she came into existence, choose whichever you want/feel more comfortable with

The obvious mechpreg where I’m pretty sure I don’t need to explain it, everyone in this fandom has found something related to it, accidental or not.

The other one is her being found inside a pod (like a bad Wattpad fanfiction). In this version, sparklings are protoform are basically blank slate; they have no colors or solid armor pieces. They obtain them from the bots they identify/ mark as carrier and sire.

Now onto the info parts on the characters because it’s an AU :

Nieke : First Megasound shipchild (as of now). She’s a flight frame with the alt mode of a Valkyrie Aircraft (x).

Her eyes are weak to bright lights and colors, which is why she wears a visor (photophobia). Already mentioned it somewhere else but she’s got two data-cables on her back. Yes she’s climbed walls and ceilings more than once, yes Megatron panicked when he found her the first time.

Personality wise, she’s like a calmer version of her carrier.

The scars on her face are due to dark energon cracking her face plates while she was absorbing her carrier’s CNA/coding. She has other scars on some parts of her body.

Abilities :

Can produce a high frequency shriek while in a state of distress. While it causes a disturbance and is high enough to cause (slight) damages to surrounding bots’s audios, it can be deadly for Insecticons.

There have been some incidents reported of Insecticon(s) being at the wrong place while she was using this ability and getting their head exploded.

The side effects of using it are the scars on her face opening and bleeding, along with temporary loss of vision and feeling of dizziness.

Her other ability is to cloak her signal from human radars. This only works if she’s flying in a straight line or not moving at all.

Weapons : Data-cables, a sniper riffle and a blade in each of her forearms.

Megatron : Nieke’s carrier, be it by adopting her or birthing her. Having Nieke made him re-evaluate everything he’s done so far. Raising a sparkling was terrifying to him, the fear of hurting someone who saw him as something other than pure evil.

He blames himself for Nieke’s health issues. She was a premature spark. He thought she’d die by his fault. It took time for him to understand that she was alive and well.

After the war, he’s become more of a housewife/househusband. He’s unable to get a job due to being an ex-warlord. So he stays at home most of the time. Mostly taking care of the garden or painting/writing. It’s a calm life. He, of course, had to do some jail time for literally everything.

He has few physical changes, most of the sharp angles of his body have began getting rounder without him sharpening them. A scar on the right side of his lip and some more feminine traits he began adding to himself through the years.

Soundwave : Nieke’s sire and Megatron’s conjunx/sparkmate. It was quite a shock to him learning he was going to sire a sparkling. He still mourn the loss of his cassettes/minicons.

He made toys for Nieke, notably a rabbit plushy named Morris (reference to that x). Sewing and crocheting stuff has become a small hobby away from monitors. That and teaching Nieke sign language.

After the war, he was recruited to work in a security department on Cybertron due to his hacking skills.

A small memorial was made in honor of his deceased cassettes/minicons in their new home. Using his voice again was…painful in some way. His throat hurt and felt soar after years of not speaking. He still uses voice recordings most of the time to communicate with others.

Random infos/facts :

Megatron gets slightly irritated when people assume he’s Nieke’s sire.

Laserbeak is present in this AU, they simply went out to live their own lives and comes back to visit every now and then.

Nieke’s name is based on the Greek goddess Nike. I thought it would be a fitting name considering the fact Megatron and Soundwave were both gladiators.

Thinking about Nieke in earthspark

Megs has tried to contact Soundwave to tell him “Hey man, you’re a dad” except Soundwave just never picked up.

I can imagine at some poit Nieke getting lost and ending up near the cells and noticing how one of the prisoners (Soundwave) look a lot like her.

So she just takes a wild guess and asks “Are you my dad?”

And Soundwave just has to do mental gymnastics because this kid looks an awful lot like him and Megatron. It takes him some time to connect the dots, 'Is this why Megatron kept calling me?'

Takes him a couple of days and he’s in absolute shock that he and Megs had a kid.

In your AU, has anyone ever tried to kidnap Nieke as ransom against Megatron and Soundwave Post-War?

There was definitely kidnapping attempts and so far, none of them have been successful.

Some of them have been able to resume their life in a single piece, others have met a… not so good ending. Be it by the hands of the law or by the ones of enraged creators.

Soundwave already has hunted down multiple bots having roamed near their house, needless to say, they never came back.

They both knew things like that would happen eventually. Despite having thought Nieke about “stranger danger” and self defense the fear of someday not being able to get to her in time is paralyzing.

So they both make sure to be near her or always ready to drop everything to get to reach her.
